  4. I applied for my Thai partners NZ visa just before covid hit. Turns out they processed them in the NZ offices in Beijing........ Covid hit, everything shut for months, couldn't go anyway because NZ was also 'shut' for tourism. 18 months later we got a response from the NZ embassy. As far as Australia goes. Yes, you have to do the paperwork. I hate using agents, but in this case I used one for convenience. It just takes time and patience.
  5. whenever I go to the hospital, they get my age right. I think some lazy person looked at your year, and didn't translate the month. As for 17 year olds, they always want to appear older than they are....
  6. Has anyone got any experience with registering a divorce in the UK? Basically details: I married a Thai lady in the UK many years ago, came to Thailand and registered the marriage here. Recently we both went to the local Amphur and divorced.. I understand this is recognised in the UK, but how do I register it? I tried contacting the British Embassy but they simply told me to contact a British lawyer. Does anyone know about this subject?
  7. I like adding cheese to the sauce. Ayam baked beans; did you know they have several varieties, include pizza baked beans, curry flavour and cheesy baked beans? Mainly sold in China, but you can buy them on Lazada if you search carefully.
  8. Well, not that Thai police usually get technical, but if you have one of these electric bikes that looks like a motorbike, you will notice that they usually have pedals. Not that you'd ever use the pedals, but it makes them technically legal as a bicycle.
  9. Surely every religious establishment could be accused of misleading teachings?
  10. Can anyone recommend a financial advisor/ I tried in the UK, and they all back away when I say I live overseas?
  11. Many of us take a short cut through this little Soi on occasion I'm sure.😊 But in taking a Motorbike taxi from there today, I noticed the Win queue has been moved and most of the shops look closed and deserted. Anyone know what's going on?
  12. If I order food on Grab (often) I've noticed my daughters phone (Thai) shows cheaper prices.....
