How’s about this, Donald, Ukraine gives up Crimea if you give Alaska back to Russia? How would that feel to cede your territory to a foreigner? Unthinkable. Trump is such a robot; it’s all about ‘the deal’ to him. He doesn’t give a monkey’s chuff about the people and what’s right.

Well he is a lawyer after all; he’ll chop and change whenever it suits.

Put an end to this saga. Issue a red notice arrest Boss return him to Thailand and jail.
That would br a 'wakeUp' call to other Hi So evaders of justice like Thaksin and his cronies.
I agree but the kinds of people that are letting this slide are the ones actually running the show. Thailand is still at least a generation away from growing up and coming down on this behaviour. It may not be what people want, but at least custodial sentences being meted out is a step in the right direction.

This is not a bad thing. Thailand is already too busy and fewer coming in will make it easier on the infrastructure. The people that will really feel the dip most will be the airlines, Chinese businesses, rich hoteliers and the supercilious TAT. Surely nobody cares about either of these. The real benefit will be for other tourists and the natives and residents not involved with tourism. Yay.

I get the annoyance, when warranted, but perhaps because your posts are contentious tripe? The sad emojis are useful when one couldn’t be bothered to respond, but I agree it can be annoying when you think you’ve made a OBVIOUS lighthearted comment and you get the donkeys jumping all over it. Also be aware that the boomers don’t do well with emojis, messaging, emails etc. 😂 You have to make allowances for that.

Cue the ‘my ole mum reckon a bunch of lard is great!‘ etc
Made a quip about cooking at home with bad fats, clearly joking, and yet get the ‘sad’ ‘confused’ emojis. Some must sit there all day waiting to pounce. So sad, with all this beautiful county around us.
Fats are great, esp the ribeye extra cooked after etc. And yes, gee and lard are possibly not as bad to cook with (AT THE RIGHT TEMP) than veg fats. But it is not necessarily good for you. Nothing is when it’s heated to the nth degree. Pretty sure we didn’t evolve with a wok full of heavy hot oils and fats though. Possibly big reason why cancer is so prevalent. Whatever. Folk should do what they want. The boomers will put us right of course.

Yes, best to cook at home with the bad oils 😋

I thought that was how they usually parked in Pattaya. Nothing to see here.

Fuddy duddies, boring b’stards and teetotallers trying to stop people having fun as usual. If you don’t want to drink, don’t do it. Just move on and set your boring thing up away from everyone else. Same with the whiny farangs that live here and moan about having water thrown on them. Just quietly disappear at that time. Nobody cares. Just stop trying to ruin it for the normal folk.

But to vet them? There are obvious pointers but even the meekest and seemingly dainty of fragile little souls can instantly turn into a monster and give you a right old savaging. They’re a bit weird like that.

China is in a tremendously advantageous position, they can afford to hold out, America cannot. America needs the rare earth materials, America has invested trillions in manufacturing in China, which controls 95% of the shipping container market and more than 50% of the shipping market worldwide.
The Chinese people are likely far more capable of sacrifice than the American people, who are quite soft and unaccustomed to living without their creature comforts. This whole Tornado Trump tariff crusade could turn around and bite Trump in the butt so hard, he has to flee Washington within 24 months. A third term? I doubt if he will finish this term.
And nobody's even discussing China's mastery of hacking, they could literally cripple the US overnight if that was their end game.
Agreed. It won’t go on though. He’s just angling for a deal. But probably not a good idea to take on the CCP.

It wouldn’t work. When he’s got something in his head, he doesn’t even listen to his best buddies. Senility, wealth and a hunger for power do not a great mix make.

Not sure I understand what a 'zero-dollar investment' is. ?
(I had understood for example that many vehicles on the road in Thailand - of many brands - are at least assembled - but not manufactured? - in Thailand.)
The locals get F all benefit from it.

A 1.2% drop? Stop the press! Hardly worth writing about. 120% drop would be more like it, and take the Russians with you. 😙

Stick to bending spoons, dude. You could set every nuke off today and there wouldn’t be enough energy to boil the oceans. Only a Venus style climate runaway (which could eventually happen) or the death of the earth through the sun’s red giant phase (which will eventually happen) will do that.

Why humour them? Clearly a previously banned member mixing things up. I just don't get why someone would spend so much time trying to wind people up instead of drinking beer and speaking to nice women.
Thailand to Test Nationwide Emergency Alerts on 50 Million Devices

Oh great, more spam.
And what national emergencies?
The unfortunate deaths through the recent quake were a random event… the workers unlikely would have got out had they seen a message on their phone after the fact.
Air quality alerts would be handy in CM and Bkk, but people already know it’s bad.
Phones pinging alerts are more likely to cause accidents through panic and distraction in and of themselves. Just more big brother. Let people be.
