You really need to do your homework on your contractor for this.
I know two people who had the same "dream" and both havebeen very disappointed with the results.
I have seen first hand the vast difference that two renderers on two adjacent walls can make and i too would be disa balled off aswell

They know the strategy is going to fail so they added the last paragraph to enable them to report a 50% success.

Just following the thread and making sure no one suggests he comes to my neck of the woods.
I live in blissful serenity with only birds and water to beheard 24/7 ten minutes from the moat......and thats how I want to keep it.
Bloody foreigners

Vents are pointless because hot air in the roof is the same as the hot air outside, extract one amount and another amount replaces it.Even a jet powered fan system has no effect unless you replace that air with cool air.
Think about it.
Soffit vents in the west are there for the purpose of circulating air and allowing humidity not to increase moisture levels of timber roof trusses and ceiling joists.
Airbricks at ground level are doing exactly the same job.
In Thailand steel trusses and concrete floors do not need ventilation.

99.99% of road users here
1. Have never taken the minimum 18hours of driving lessons
2. Have never driven a 45minute Government approved driving test
3.Dont understand white line markings, red and whitemarkings, yellow hzard markings
4. Have an attitude that the biggest vehicle always has priority, wagon songthaew car scooter bike pedestrian.
5. Have no respect for the police and therefore the law.
6 If they have money they are insulated from manslaughter charges
7 If they dont have money they also dont have insurance.
Top and bottom is, if you are cursing and swearing at otherroad users here then you sure as hell arenot concentrating yourself.

Geometry, pythag 3,4,5 6,8,10 is the most common way of setting out all buildings even if you have a trusted "dumpy"
Its rare however that anyone needs to use trig as sliding bevels, string lines, and good old lining in by eye resolves any angle of dangle.
Job well done anyway.

...if do it by yourself. Yes, see the posts above. No way for me also.
But how about using the agent? Any thoughts?
Having done it myself 5 or 6 times I still see no value in using an agent even if it was only 1000bt.
I still dont see, what theycan do to expedite the process as all the required info you have to hunt for yourself.
The pain is the process in general a cattle market where you either get sold to live another day or get sent to the abattior.
The agent just holds the chain around your neck

I just wonder if they are driving visa visitors aways because they are unable to cope in Immigration.
Trying to balance workload etc.
I did my marriage extension on Christmas Eve,arrived at 8.30 (previously ticket numbers 3 + 5 at same arrival time)
Wife in tow, I got ticket 13 and knew immediately that was going to spoil her day.
I had prepared my 54 photocopies meticulously and like a military operation there was no way this could fail.
Yet even the wife said cynically dont get stressed about it, they will find something wrong.
3hrs we waited,I walked around the building 12 times, counted cars and watched almost every couple before us rush out chuntering the obvious.
Everything was going swimmingly, I was just signing my signature so often it turned into mickey mouse.
Then the catch 22 problem that is impossible to do.
She wanted a bank book update despite the fact it had been done close of play the day before.
So, everybody you have a dilemma.
If you arrive at immigration at a time before your bank opens you are unable to have that bank update with you.
If you go to the bank at 9am then photocopy it then join the queue its highly likely you will get a ticket in the 20s ...maybe ok for some but you need the wife in tow and that can be a problem
I was told to update again and photocopy again and bring it back in the afternoon.
You dont think its stressful in the four weeks leading up to an extension until you get your passport back nicely stamped......then the euphoria kicks in, like the day you passed your driving test, you get those nice exam results. I feel like i have been on holiday in the last week.
But going back to the rapid decline in efficiency, the place was absolutely packed and for the marriage part they have only 1 officer dealing with couples.
I remember the crappy outbuilding where we used to go, only 5 yrs ago, they had 4 desks dealing with marriages.
Good luck to anyone about to do the same.

youll need 6mm (might get away with 4mm) cable for 6kw and 32a breaker anything less and youll be able to warm yourself on the cable
Yes a 6mm2 cable is recommended, I was planning on 6 but my experienced sparky said 4mm would be fine. And yes its perfectly adequate.
Absolutely no smaller though, a 2.5 used on a 3.6kw unit willnot support a 6kw unit

I have a 6kw Stiebel multipoint feeding my shower and my kitchen sink.
With the morning temps as they are now my mixer tap is on its maximum hot setting and I often wonder what exactly is a 3.6kw or 4.5kw heater able to do now.
Now, my kitchen sink is a good 7m away and floor below but found that by the time the water came thro hot enough to wash dishes, that they had already been done under the open tap.....so I dont even allow hot water to run to the kitchen now.
In hindsight, I would have had a separate heater under the sink on a very short run to ensure veryhot water is achieved.

Back in October it was reported that a "OSS Foreigner" app was on its way to facilitate on line reporting/ TM30 etc
Anyone hear of any progress in that development or was it just fake news to appease the TM30 backlash groups at the time.

Theres this mega exagerration that the paperwork involved with marriage is unsurmountable.
Having done it myself for 5 years, I can only see a couple of photos and a marriage certif as being additional to any other immigration proceedure, re entry, tourist visa, retirement, etc etc.
Where does this overwhelming negative concept come from and does 5 minutes of extra photocopying really justify having to save an extra 400k to do an easy retirement ext.

If your prostate has not enlarged, the radiologist's suggestion is quite probably correct - a small kidney stone. A PSA test or physical would be appropriate for checking for prostate cancer.
The urinary tract check would involve a catheter insertion. Pay more and have it done under anaesthesia, or man up.
The PSA test was included in the check up and did infact confirm that the prostrate wasnt a concern.
For a couple of weeks I am going to try cardura, if theres an improvement then possibly not a blockage.

Update:
Its been five and a half years since I went for that health check, and reading the thread again, there are many members that appear to be no longer here; hopefully not medical related reasons.
So this is just an update because I have been again today for check up number 4 as I have been continuing the regime approximately every 12-16 months.
The price of 4900bt for “male premium” is still exactly the same as it was in 2014 and the tests are the same.
The chest x ray machine has been upgraded and gone is the archaic machine that was unable to take an impression without the help of sticking plasters on my nipples.
The radiologist lady has been there every year and has all the ultrasound photographic records which she can compare instantly. Very friendly, very professional, very patient.
The EkG machine really does need replacing. On each and every occasion the rubber sucker electrodes have dropped off, and the wrist and ankle clamps don’t have a clamping ability any more. It makes the nurse look incompetent when she has to reset everything three times. Today the stress was getting to her so much, she forgot to switch the machine on, wondering what was wrong with it. Exactly the same happened last time.
The best improvement however was the doctor. Over the years I have seen two doctors,15 minutes, male, old school, beyond retirement age, dodderers. That may sound harsh but only because the grass was greener today.
Female, early 30s,computer savvy, 30 minutes. She went through every blood/urine etc test, explaining what each was, and had a comparison of the 3 previous results. She told me they were trying to move forward with information, set up graphs for the patients. It was very informative.
I was even asked if I wanted my chest x ray and something else putting on a cd (I declined, I only have a cd player in the car!)
She didn’t however carry out the dodderers tests, ie wrapping my knee with the reflex hammer nor putting her hand down my groin for something or other?
I recall putting off going for my very first check up, scared, anxious, prefer not to know and those feelings came back again over the last year.
I have developed a problem, that you’ve probably got aswell, a dribbling pisser, low flow and making a dash to the bog more often than usual.
I couldn’t see any further than prostrate cancer, you automatically get drawn to the worst case scenario when you use google. The symptoms fitted so I was scared to go check.
For one year I have hoped it goes away but it hasn’t.
I mentioned it to the radiologist. She checked the size, the volume, any growth, anything unusual but told me it was normal, not enlarged, infact it registered as smaller than previous measurements which she was able to compare.
She could see nothing at all, however she did suspect a kidney stone was maybe lodged in the urethra/bladder area but too small for her to see.
Why this now makes more sense is, that on my second check up I had a small kidney stone in the kidneys. She said its highly likely that it will be urinated out as a matter of course. On my third check up it had disappeared and now possibly the same one is blocking something…..anyway, even I am learning a bit from historical records now.
My next step is to see a urologist to maybe carry out further tests. Of course I am already petrified of a uretorectomy!!
When comparing my 4 check up results the doctor can form a picture which you cannot do if you visit only once.
I was told that my blood sugar levels have risen slightly over the 4 check ups and it was a warning for me. When I look back, yes this last year, I have eaten more bread, was drinking fizzy drinks for 3 months, beer every day, more biscuits and processed cheese. Believe it or not I was eating like that to put on a couple of kg.
Despite that, its just a minor blip in what is an incredible picture of health and fitness, but I made a point in a previous post comparing the price to just a couple of swanky nights out.
Its up to you

Hey Mr Eye aren't the rafters on 120cm centres, and other 4x2 only at ridge and bottom, and valleys?
Does 300bt/m2 sound a lot?
I certainly wouldnt ever set steel rafters at 1200c/c.
600/700/800 are the only sensible spacings.
I reckoned on an arbitrary 100bt/m for 1.8g box section or I.P.
Say 2.5no 1m lengths per m2=250bt
Then the extras, tiling rails, purlins, ridge, collars and ties and eaves, red oxide.
300bt/m2 is probably too low just for steel

Metal sheets, they dont make steel tiles.
Profiled metal sheets start at about 180bt/m2
4*2 structural steel say 300bt/m2
Cheap 2" insulation 50bt/m2
Thats a cheap charlie building a shed standard.
Quality job, double it.

I suppose its no longer politically correct to refer to keys as masters, slaves, sub masters or even to pass.
Not too long ago all hotels, new businesses, condos, carehomes and rented accom used a master system as standard, but giving them out and not having them returned became too expensive, with the likes ofChubb, Yale, Hafele etc charging the equivalent of 1000btforeach replacement.
And so was born the key card system pretty much universally now.

Just finished the drilling ........ too scared to start welding.
It was my first time cutting box section with an angle grinder, not as frightening as it thought.
Sparks started burning my legs when I wore shorts, had to put jeans on and sweat.
The 45 degree cuts were a bit exciting.
Power generated, 4 units in a week, bloody rubbish!
Bring it over, you can use my welder. I will film you.
*dont cut steel section with a grinder, one split second lapse in concentration it will kick out of your hand and leave you with expensive hospital costs.

Where do you guys live?
I was only remarking yesterday that I have never locked any of the doors at ours for 5 yrs even the car.
I have not even heard of anyone that was ever broken into and had things stolen
Personally I think shutters and high security make it obvious that no one is at home so they can take their time.
Also remember most people dont interfere if someone is around their neighbours, so making itlook like someone is at home maybe better.
Timed lighting, garden sprinkler, music, pir floodlights etc
