@Crossy is correct. That is shower unit and should not be connected to a mixer unit. In fact it is very important that the output goes directly to the shower head with no intervening valve. That will be clearly stated in the installation instructions if you still have them.

@eyecatcher mentioned the filter. You do not need to remove the cover to access this filter. You just need to remove the inlet pipe. You can actually see it in the Lazada photo of the bottom of the unit.

Ah ok, I have the stiebel multipoint and the filter basket is a real pita to access requiring removal of the copper pipes to the heat exchanger

Less than 1.5 liters of water per day for more than one person?  Guess you do not use for cooking (or much drinking).

Cooking??....kettle we use direct from tap and boil.

Pasta spag direct from the tap and boiled.

Drinking yes maybe 2 litres a day in hot season only.

But lets say my usage is double, thatsstill a 3 yr break even.

However, I do appreciate that if you have a family of ducks to lookafter that water usage is higher and buying water filtersbecomes more viable

  3. Almost certainly due to the flow rate and the reasons most oftem to be the culprit are that your tap or mixer is not fully open, the blue/red incoming service valve tap is not fully open or that you have some fine grit and deposits caught up in the filter.

if your taps are not open then it means you need to disconnect the electric and remove the cover to get to tge filter

With Lazada, right click to find option for "Translate".  Sometimes have to change the input language to Thai but usually gives good translation.

You can save money on filters by just signing up for the 20 liter bottle delivery.  Here it's 10 baht per bottle after initial deposit for the bottle itself.  A cold water only delivery stand and your good to go.

I am with you on this. The cheapest 3 filter sink top contraption is around 1600bt and then filters cost 100-300bt to swap over.

our village bottle services charges 15bt for the 20litres and we use 2 per month.

    30bt x 12 months=360bt a year

Thats 6 years of filtered water brought conveniently to the door for the price of a cheapo filter system.

    Its a no brainer

Really? @eyecatcher do you think there is differential settlement? But the crack is in the middle of the wall and not at the end. If there is movement, the parts of the wall next to the cracked section would be show damage too. @samuttodd is there damage elsewhere?

Should this be the usual concrete pylons? Aren't the corrugated roof panels merely used to keep the filling in place to prevent it drifting into the swamp?

Its not clear whether its settlement or ground heave, thats why you need to check the verticals and horizontals of each side of tge wall. That will quickly establish the real story.

If its all built on randomly spaced piers without sufficient bearing area then my best guess based on only the photos would be that the columns supporting the wall running to the left direction(of first photo) have settled abd breaking its back at the steonger pier at the crack area or the stronger pier has heaved in the saturated clay subsoil

  6. I am a sufferer also but I do put my body through its limits every day.

My first port of call used to be the painkillers and muscle heat rubs but realised they dont address the problem of a sprained muscle, a spasm, sciatica so the pain relief just covers up the problem until next time.

Next time is always worse, i can assure you.

I found the answer by following a 30 minute You tube video on exercises for lower back aches/sciatica. When you understand the anatomy and what is happening with DDD it all makes sense.

I think i followed the video two night consecutive and I have not suffered a real episode in 18 months,.....until yesterday, when I lifted a small lawnmower into the back of the car.

Mine has eased already without anything other than a lazy day and a beer, but if its not good tomorrow i will redo the stretches and realighn my muscles

  7. Its not clear from the photo what the foundation is.

You say its solid, but all i can see is a row of damaged corrugated roof panels pushed to the underside of a foundation.

Was that the original shuttering that was supposed to be insitu and since got wet and perishing away?

The crack in the wall is structural. You have rotational movement on that foundation causing a diagonal crack that didnt chose the easy route via the joints which is normally the route expansion cracks go.

For cracks to split bricks and blocks its serious.

You can see the deflection in the top plinth, put a spirit level on each side to see whether the left or right side has dropped or heaved.

Remember a flooded clay soil will expand causing a heaving effect, the opposite to settlement.

On the back side, follow that crack right down it will lead to the crack in the foundation but due to rotation you may not even be able to see it without a magnifying glass.

Still interested to know what exactly is holding up the wall foundation.

  8. Supply and demand is a common concept in business.

When you have a product in demand you can put the price up,

and when its over supplied the price comes down.

Petrol companies change the price every single day in the same way.

Good luck to pharmacies, they are all run by 22yr old post grads who cant even afford to fill all their shelves...and how much are they profiteering? Individuals i reckon will barely be taking home an extra 2000bt this month

Not really. In fact it's an unusual situation. After the coronavirus passes, things should be back to normal. Everything was running quite smoothly from my experience for a good while now. In and out in a very short time, never a problem finding parking, etc. (since the opening of the new building).

Its got nothing to do with the virus. I was there twice before Christmas and again mid January and all thtee visits were a nightmare.

The virus wasnt even news then

  10. The term is Travertine and its a porous material, very porous.

You put that in your pizza oven and all that olive oil and steam will seep into it resulting in....lets just say.....I hope you are good at jigsaws.

For your oven base, natural stone, polished concrete, ceramic tiles, red bricks would be better options

  11. Maybe aI am a bit naive on this subject but surely the WHO are in charge of this whole situation and as such are co ordinating virologists and the like all over the world to find an antidote.

I thought lessons had been learned when another communist Govt tried to keep the Chernobyl disaster under wraps until a radiation outpost in Sweden? just happened to be alerted by a change in wind direction.
