I can't say I've seen it here, but I've seen it in SoCal.
I think it's silly
Now I have mentioned It I am betting you will see one soon.

The only modification was throttle, front brake and electrics switches on the left handlebar, parking brake moved to the right bar, and fitting a steering damper. 2 speed foot engaged auto so it is really a hybrid of an auto clutch and car auto box. Honda had a CB750 version as well that still looked suspiciously like a motorcycle :)Things have moved along since then with aftermarket electronic shifters available for a lot of manual bikes. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and call it a duck.^
of coarse modified bikes for disabled riders are a different story ,but buying a new model automatic scooter is different the thrill of riding bikes flying into a bend down shifting a couple of gears using two hands and a foot is what gives me the buzz ,dropping a gear to blast pass on another vehicle also, how do you do anything like this on an automatic
Looks great to me but to much money, lots of people will buy it I am sure and good luck to them, everyone Is different and you certainly can not have a go at anyone for buying a particular motorbike!! It's up to them!!
-
It's VIP style.
The car rides on airbag suspension and they stretch the tire to fit the widest wheels possible without scraping.
Looks dangerous.
Race cars run them like that, but on a road car it must be dangerous as you are losing a lot of tyre contact with the road.
-
All independent rear suspension adds negative camber if lowered or heavy load if the rear has drive shafts connected to a fixed differential housing. And am sure there are kits out there to go extreme with this set up.
Is it a safe thing to be doing?
Yes there are kits for this modification.
I am quite sure the wheels of the cars in the YouTube clip are not like that because of shopping in the boot!!

He bike has 3 modes, auto, Tiptronic and sport so you can do the things you like to do with this Honda!!
-
I haven't seen anything like that on the Thai roads.
Really, I have seen a few, not far from the big Honda dealer near the big bike rental place not far from Supercheap there is an extreme example of this type of car, also the boss of C Cube has one of these cars. Looks horrible in my opinion!!

Let's try this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbF3GR0XnzQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player
This is very dangerous or not?
-
Not sure exactly what you mean by extreme camber.???
Remember BM's rear's cambering outwards when extra weight in the back.
I mean I have seen cars with the wheels almost at a 45 degree angle at the rear, is that not extreme!!
My IPad will not let me post pictures on tv.
-
You see many cars now with extreme rear cambered wheels, surely this is very dangerous In a road going car, is this now just a styling modification which is dangerous!! I can't even say it looks good and that is coming from someone that loves modified cars.

Please explain: Gasohol is bad so why have my 2 bikes always run well on gasohol never had a problem in 3 yrs!
Gasohol requires farmland to make. Not only that but requires fossil fuels (in the form of fuel for tractors and trucks, fertilisers for crops, and processing), but you get less power and is less efficient. Recent bikes will burn it, but it is not an optimum fuel.
It's kind of like a fat girlfriend. Sure it eventually does the same, but it's not as good.
Ah thanks for that simple explanation!!

Gasohol not only seperates but is hydrophilic. Meaning it draws moisture out of the air. In limited amounts that's actually a net benefit as the water actually cools the combustion chamber, increases combustion pressure (as water does not compress all that well) and lowers emissions. Obviously an excessive amount leads to improper combustion cycles.
Ethanol is also a corrosive. Meaning that older fuel lines not designed for it are eaten away. Ethanol has about 65% of the combustion energy of benzine (and coincidentally 2/3 of the vapour pressure meaning that instead of the 100% combustion pressure of full benzine you get 2/3 of 10% plus 90% or 96% of the combustion pressure that pure benzine has), and a proper air fuel ratio would be ~9:1 versus the 14.5:1 of a benzine engine. Since 90% of the fuel in E10 is benzine the AFR will be at 14.5 or so and thus incredibly rich for the ethanol. This actually wastes ethanol and makes it burn more poorly the same as if you tried to run a straight gasoline engine at an AFR of 21:1. Latent heat is also higher; meaning you need a higher temperature to properly atomise the ethanol.
Sorry for going off on a technical tangent, but that's what I do...
<deleted> me What!!
Beznine = Good
Gasohol = Bad
OK?
Well that answer certainly beats your previous one!!

Don't drink alcohol so no.
Sensible man!!

You only have to look at the time people post and what they post
Some people drink at any time of the day, you can never tell if someone is drunk as some people are nasty all of the time!!
-
Mmmm stay on topic, NO or maybe Yes!!
Maybe think about it over a drink, and then post an answer.
Hic hic!! Ridiculous thread deserves ridiculous replies!! Just finished a can of coke does that qualify?
So, you are posting now whilst sober. Is that always the case?
You are a little tinker luring me into taking part, so just for you, sometimes I am a bit sqiffey!!
-
I had the same trouble looking for small CO2 for a motorbike, gave up in the end, good luck!!

Are people really that shallow they need to have something nobody else has?
Quite a jump from "I don't think I'd buy this bike" to "everyone buying it is shallow"....
Might not be for me but who's to say it's not a good deal for some. I've heard they've been selling well enough, at least the NC700X.
Can you provide another rational explanation for purchasing one of these bikes?
The explanation for buying any bike is because the person wants to, simple!!

I think that the NC700 is a good bike, automatic bike, looks the deal, what does it for me is the price and the HP, sorry but I need a bit more. I do like that they have a compartment where the petrol tank is, nice to hide a helmet there (mine was stolen again yesterday)...
Kawapower??? I thought you loved your Z1000... What was wrong with it? (sorry to derail)
Honda CBR1000 is 799? that is not really that bad, compared to suzuki's GSXr and the ducatis/BMW's...
Still, they are way overpriced compared to the z1000s 585k price tag... but again, different bikes... I like my sports bikes, but I love the looks of the adventure bikes and the naked bikes...
Yes I loved the Z but after a while it got very tiring to drive, Phuket in my opinion is no place for a big powerful bike, my head always rules my heart, Absolutely nothing wrong with the Z but for me it was just to much for the heavy traffic here on Phuket.

not only drunk but often in the middle of sex, and sometimes with other people!
wonder how long before this thread gets closed down, i give it 22 posts.
As it is a ridiculous thread I would hope it is closed soon, the insults etc will not be long coming!!
It's a serious question. Maybe some are too embarrassed to answer. :)
Sometimes you can tell when a regular member has made a post that isn't so coherent. :)
Is anyone really interested? Is it possible to ever tell if someone is drunk whilst posting, some people post as if they are drunk but are sober!! If someone posts an insult are they drunk? Who knows, who cares!!

How old before you need to have a car or bike inspected?
5+ years for bike and 7+ years for a car. By inspection place do you mean the inspection certificate to get the tax disk ? Lots of places all over Phuket, Closest to department is about 300m in direction of the town (along the canal road).
Yes cheers have a few yrs to go yet.

It's a lot of money, to me it would be a perfect bike but I love my CBR250 so no need to consider anything else, but if were looking and had no problem with the price the NC700 is what I would buy.
Looking forward to the new showroom opening here, I will be there many times just having a look see.
