RichardColeman replied to george's topic in Thailand News
Sorry, but most ladyboys to me just means pervert. That said I have had some great times playing pool with them, though they knew to stay away from my pool cue -

Man Arrested after Stabbing Bartender to Death in Phuket
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Sorry, but to me a tragic incident is a child killed in a road accident. Call it what it is ,a violent murder - and before those reading the linked article say 'well he was hot over the head with a bottle first' , anybody carrying a knife is out to commit a murder - if not just stay indoors -
Iranian and Indian Men Arrested for Drunk Driving in Patong
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I agree with you. You give all drink drivers (including thais) an automatic 1 week jail sentence - plus the normal stuff. I imagine a week in prison on your hols would teach you a very very valuable lesson ! -
Thai Police Bust Chinese-Led Scam Gang in Southern Raid
RichardColeman replied to george's topic in Thailand News
I fully believe that the world should put in a new law. If your country members commit crime abroad then your country is responsible for the cost of ALL police time, ALL prison time and ALL costs related to the case. That said country can then civilly claim back the money they must pay out to 'injured' country via their home court system of the perp. -

RichardColeman replied to george's topic in Thailand News
Don't you just hate it when women have to share bills , if only we could revert to un-equality ! -

US Kick streamer provokes brawl in Thailand
RichardColeman replied to george's topic in Thailand News
so just a normal black ghetto thug then. Lock him up, 5 years for provocation. Probably used to jail anyway. -
Well, going by the current polls, a second term president. I truly hope that he wins the election, not because he is gods gift or anything, but merely to shut the whining left up on here to show they are in the MINORITY of US citizens. Also want to point out to you as you seem to be completely missing the plot on your points - 2023 and 2024 cases I believe came after he said he would run for president , obviously showing that whilst they could have bring them before they held them back until now in a left conspiracy to stop him being president again. I have no love for Trump but the left lawfare is ridiculous and will be their undoing

Gay couple arrested in Bangkok for drug and extortion operations
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
From this reporting, one would have to assume that gay healthcare professionals are more dense than a Issan farmer's pet pig. -
Thai labour unions criticise new daily minimum wage
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Go on, put it up to a high min wage and watch the total destruction of the recycling business 'inter-people' and the huge dumping of plastic, bottles, tins and cardboard as it becomes cheaper to dump it than recycle it -
Bangkok scorched at 38°C with thunderstorms looming
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I really do not care how hot it is for a few days, I just want it to rain for about a week !! I honestly cannot remember a day where it rained all day for several years - I have tried telling the wife in the UK it like rains for month or weeks on end - she thinks I am porky pie'ing -
Thailand braces for thunderstorms amid soaring temperatures
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
My wife has started putting the air con on more in the early evening - we use fans in the day. The heat is currently VERY abnormal - she is not a person that generally needs air con. So I would have to disagree with you big time - of course a couple days thunderstorms may well return everything to normal - but in Pattaya we seem to get 15 minutes downpour and nothing but heat for the next 3 months. -
Suvarnabhumi Airport Customs Arrest Drug Trafficker from Nigeria
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Oh well, some Thai school is going to have to recruit a new English teacher. I am also not so sure that immigration should have published this story with a 4 million baht cocaine value - I mean that is potentially 2 houses here ! A huge incentive for someone to get onto the property ladder. I can see the 'large' women on Pattaya beach just lining up for this :) -
Absolute poverty: UK sees biggest rise for 30 years
RichardColeman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Problem is most 'poor' people in the UK consider themselves poor if they do not have the latest i-phone, a 65 inch tv, at least 2 dogs, 5 children, beer on tap, cheap fags, sky subscriptions and easy access to weed. Least that is what 2 years in blackpool during covid taught me -
Songkran festival in Chiang Mai to draw in millions of tourists
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Coming soon, Songkran water tax for foreigners - and blaming them for up and coming droughts for wasting it -
"Big Joke" on leave from govt service to rest with family in UK
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Asylum claim pending then -
This article will well be worth following - UK people can stay here for say 1 month on a free visa, but UK visa for a Thai currently would be 6 months (paid), so chances are that either UK people can come here for free for 6 months or a UK visa for a thai would/could be reduced to 1 month , with a special 6 month visa also available. I'm hopeful that there will be free 6 month reciprocal visas.
