Colorado Supreme Court kicks Trump off ballot
RichardColeman replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
What a surprise ! A democrat state, with a democrat court and a democrat state supreme court - what a total joke ! I see 3 possible outcomes of this : 1. The supreme court over-rules it - I think is correct - it is a right wing leaning 6-3 supreme court anyway. Trump has not been 'criminally' convicted of insurrection. The law was initiated originally I believe to stop confederates that fought against the union from running for president. 2. Supreme court agrees - I think unlikely, as it will lead to every state doing the same for each runner of both parties in every future election. There will be fighting on the streets if this happens. Biden/the democrats taking out the person ahead of them in the polls is ridiculous - America is becoming a banana republic if this happens and will be laughed at if they try and intercede in any world conflict 3. The total break up of the United States - the right leaning ones and the left leaning - say 25 states each - it may sound crazy but we are at a point where the judicial system has been politicised and each state is now going against the next. Personally, I think this is the best idea - the far left are far to radical now for any right leaning person to live with. -
PM Stresses Urgent Remediation Measures for Air Pollution

Maybe if he said Pretty Please ? -
Whilst I applaud Thailand for wanting the children to understand Thai culture, my daughter sometimes spends an entire day celebrating some religious day and doing absolutely nothing else for the rest of the day at school. For those knocking teachers, my wife was a teacher and went to uni/school until 25 before leaving to teach. She was extremely educated for her kindergarten role, she has folders upon folders of certificates. HOWEVER - the teachers are NOT educated about foreign matters, she had no idea what 9/11 was, who Hitler was or that Australia is nearer to Thailand than my UK !

Imagine the judge getting (and laughing) a extradition request in my UK and Thailand demanding the return of a UK national for having sex with a 17 year old , a year older than the legal age for sex in the UK. Thai police are laughable sometimes. 17 year old in the UK these days is probably up the duff with her 2nd kid and on the council lists already

Supreme Court asked to decide if Trump can be prosecuted
RichardColeman replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
Another left leaning person that never looks at their own parties but accuses others - You obviously do not read the news of Biden announcing that he will be the only one of the ballot in the Florida primaries ! THAT IS BANNANA REPULIC ! His own party members - those wanting to be on the ballot - are now going to court to get on the ballot. want to comment on Biden doing that ? Not seen trump try to ban his opposition from the ballot yet I am sure you are intelligent enough to find the story for yourself, but here's one link - i do not know if they lean left or right. https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2023/12/04/florida-democrat-party-primary-voters-biden-uygur-williamson-phillips/ -
I am fully aware of this and would have been using the combined method anyhow, I think under the old law I would need to have only about £5,000 in the bank as my income would have been near to the 18k, all that will happen now is having to show about 70k and my income. It's a pain but doable. The whole thing is wrong. I can actually agree somewhat with the 38k BUT, it needs to be split into deductible income and spare income. As said if I am spending 20k on rent - quite low in the SE - then I only have £18 to live on - but still enough. The amount for people owning their own (paid) homes should be reduced to by 20k to cover the non payment of rent or mortgage. I would say that if you have an reasonable income and can show you have equity in your house (my case 360-380k) then that asset should count towards the amount required - hell, even asking people to put up their house as collateral would be OK for most !

Hmm, my guess is that he already knows he will be found guilty - in fact the judge found him guilty even before hearing the evidence - but he knows 100% it will be overturned on appeal. This case was brought by a woman that ran on prosecuting Trump agenda, in a heavy democrat state - the sensible people already left for Florida - The judge is a democrat donor, his court clerk passing him notes is a heavy democrat donor, and even the judges wife supported the left wing DA at parties (see the videos for yourself) The judge refuses to listen to any common sense - the whole gist as I see it is 'did trump lie about his finances - HOWEVER the paperwork he gave to the bank states 'please do your own valuation, this is my valuation' Therefore the whole case is just political nonsense by left wing movement. There is no victim in the case, the bank got their money, the bank said Trump was a great client and wanted more business. The DA is a complete fraud - murders , rapes, gun crime is up like 200% (like nearly all democrat run cities) and she's wasting her time on this. I truly hope Trump gets in and on day one becomes a dictator for 24 hours and gets these people out the door or in prison for election interference. For those arguing against Trump and for the left - I ask you this - how come there are NO prosecution in republican states ? Why is there no prosecution of the 50 FBI agents or whatever saying the Russian dossier was real or the Hunter laptop fake. The FBI and DOJ needs a clear out ! I would support Trump, BUT I would also support any reasonable prosecution against him IF there is clear evidence and NOT the left doing a hail Mary ! I actually expect Trump not to be on the ballet - purely as f the polls get any worse for Biden , the FBI/CIA/DOJ will assassinate him

New minimum wages are too low and need review : PM
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Funny, most countries in the world are now saying wages are too low, but failing to address the issue that they are responsible for the huge inflation in the past few years and all the covid related issues. Companies should not have to pay more for their mismanagement ! It's a bit like your local football team telling you you should get more wages from your company as they have decided to put their costs up -
Two Indian Tourists Killed As Van Crashes Into Truck

So, I guess the TAT response will be promoting an Indian tourist buy 3 hotel weeks get one week free later this month. -
Go Trump !!! If anyone thinks that sleepy old dementia Joe will be allowed by his handlers to debate Trump in live debates next year (assuming he can find the stage) they are really living in cloud cuckoo land. Expect either Joe to be unable to debate due to returning 'covid' issues or say he will not debate with a 'criminal'. I really get the feeling Biden's handlers are hoping the new Chinese disease shuts down everything again so he can go hide in the bunker again

What a completely and utterly idiotic thing to say. I own my own UK house (no mortgage approx £360,000 value if i sold it), my income (£1,600) would prevent me from being able to obtain UK benefits - simply put I do not need money from the government for either rent or food. So explain to me exactly WHY I should not be able to bring my Thai wife to the UK when I need nothing from anyone ? IF - and I say IF - you do NOT own your house and need to pay £20,000 a year in rent, then I totally agree with you. A blanket ban on all those that do not need hand-outs is just plain idiotic ! This really would not stop me taking my wife in say 7 years to the UK anyhow - it was always my plan to sell my rubbishy old UK 2 bed southern council house and buy some 4 bed detached property up north and put 100k in the bank to sponsor the wife. That said, I am really thinking about getting her go there on a holiday and claim asylum - will take 5 years up for them to process her and all her appeals and by that time she'll probably be able to claim she is my carer too as i'll be in my 70's !

Thai students rank below average in global education survey
RichardColeman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Wonder if it has anything to do with the schools being constantly closed doe public holidays, or the kids going for just a half a day as its some monks day. That said, I do not think the government here want educated people, they want tourists and waiting at the end of a table or putting ice in someone's beer really does not need any education ! -
Probably planning the lawsuit against the grieving family for damage to the car as I write this.
