To clarify I purchased;-
A 1 to 2 splitter, it came with a power supply ( maybe not needed)
So you have 3 connections 1 in and 2 out, so connect the SAT to the input and the 2 TV's to the output
-
Just to update;-
I found two shops selling HMDI splitters in Pantip Plaza
Now installed and TV extension working

Just a thought, its always better to let the Company pack, if you do it yourself, you run the risk that any damage could be considered 'down to you' as you packed the goods
If the Company packs everything, in the event of an insurance claim...then down to the Company packers / shippers

My wife is 46, once she obtain her dependent visa. She can report every 90days?
-
Would you please clarify / confirm the following:-
Once I receive my extension based on retirement - I report every 90 days or leave the country?
My wife receive a dependent extension - She has to leave the country every 90days - reporting IS NOT an option?
-
With respect to my wife she is British aged 46, and yes she does hold a single entry type o visa
We do have funds to obtain an extension in her own right, however my understanding is she can only obtain a one year extension as my
dependant
Once she is 50 the situation changes
Am I correct?

I live in Chiang Mai

I have a 3 months type o single entry visa, which I want to turn into a retirement visa, and my wife a dependent visa
My question is:- When should you go to Immigration to do this, I read 4weeks and 6 weeks after arrival
What are the rules

My take on the take over
UKTV software is better than ExpatTV
UKTV price 3800Baht
ExpatTV have nearly doubled the price and no additional channels
Not sure if UKTV is suitable for windows 8.1

In 2012 my wife and I travelled around China, which included a 5n / 4d trip down the Yangtze
It was excellent, I can let you have details, I think we paid a little over 1100 USD for 2 people
We spent a month touring China by ourselves, traveling by Train, plane and boat, we started in Kunming and did a full circle in a month
One important point if your traveling by yourselves, you'll need the hotels etc. written in Chinese.
Last year 2013 we went to Wuhan for a week

I had a similar situation, the pump was switch on and off..just for a few seconds
The line leading into the garden was leaking, once repaired the pump stopped
So, as you say you need to find the leak, if its possible with the 4 lines, you could pressure test each line, at least you'll know which one to dig up???

Please let me know how you go on, I will be there in early June
Reading their website, it looks as if single entry would be issue, however multiple needs to be approved in London
It would be worth asking
Thanks, look foward to hearing from you

A couple of points
As a UK Non Resident, you still pay IHT, only Non Domicle escapre IHT
I would never use a QROPS, the yearly charges are a rip off
All Brit have the Tax free allowance of GBP10,000 / GBP10500, its best to take the stae pension / and the use your private pension to top up your monthly cash requirements, bearing in mind you'll be taxed at 20%
With a SIPP any money left in the SIpp after your death could go to your wife, and if she keeps it invest, she would pay taxes on thje income

Could you please clarify:-
I can convert a tourist visa in to a retirement visa
Would my wife who is not Thai be able to convert the tourist visa into a dependant visa
-
My wife is under 46, where would you recommend getting a single entry o visa in Asia
-
If you have a tourist visa, double entry ot triple entry, can you convert into a type o anytime, or do you have to wait until the end of the triple visa
Also what documents are need to convert a tourist visa for myself and non Thai wife into a type o visa, I am over 50 and have 800K in a Thai bank
-
If you live in Thailand for more than 3 months a year, try Columbus online or Nomad Travel Insurance
-
I am in a similar position
Would you please update the forum once you have sorted the visa, be it tourist or type o
I was coimg to the conclusion, the only soluation is a tourist visa and change in Thailand

I have sterling accounts with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, no issues setting the A/C up
I have online banking, they also have a branch in Chiang Mai, not to far from Tanin Market
You can also apply for their online trading account

My undrstanding is around 10 years you could bring in goods if you had a type O or O-A visa and no duties payable
Nowdays unless you have a work permit or a returning Thai, the shipment is taxable
Generally, you need to provide an itemised packing list / invoice with prices
The packing list invoice SHOULD state used personal possession, and if you do get catch for duties it could be prudent to keep the values low
Any customs calculation generally are made from the prices you state on the invoice
