  1. If your assets were yours before you got married, then they stay yours.

    Theres no 50/50 thing anymore.

I know, my brother just divorced and they were both Australian. Her lawyer said she would only get half of what they both acquired. Even then the business he started, she didnt get anything from that and she worked for him. All she got was sacked from that job.

So yes your assets stay yours. Unless she bought them with you.

  2. i dont want to lie but if she has no job i can see shel have big problem geting visa she does have a family in issan mom dad dad works as a nurse in hospital mom in restaurand she has sister brother dad owns a home and she has a house book etc what sort of info does she need to provide like letter from dad that he guarantees she comes back or???

also if she gets a formal letter from a company that will state that shel b offerd a job on her return to thailand would that help?

    thanks mik

Mik Ive gotta ask is she really a nurse?

How did you meet a nurse from Issan?....seems kind of rare I suppose.

Anyhow, back to the question you asked, did you ring her vfs case worker and ask what was the problem?...I would have.

  3. >Cracked me up, but I understand where she is coming from, the Hills Hoist is an Aussie invention

What cracked me up is that the Aussies lay claim to this "invention"! cheesy.gif Surely any nation on earth could invent such a thing?

They could have, but didn't. It's like saying any nation could have invented gunpowder.

Chinese invented gunpowder. Hills hoist was invented by an Australian. Mr Hill. The rotary clothesline was patented by an Australian.

So Hah!....Im right your wrong, I win you loose.

  4. My wife registered our UK-born daughter on the Tabien Baan when she was 5. So she's actually in the book AFTER her younger Thai-born sister.

You don't need to put the child in the Tabien Baan until you're back in Thailand. Take the Thai embassy issued birth certificate and probably the child's Thai passport along with the tabien baan to the local amphur.

I already know all these details. Wasnt my question but thanks for your input anyhow.
  5. This is not harmless fun, it`s the sexulisation of children and not part of Thai culture, but the result of bad Western influences and stupidity on the part of his wife and her family.

If the OPs story is true, than it appears his wife has a happy go lucky, slap dash approach to the upbringing of his children and later on can lead to all sorts of problems as the children grow up. Plus, if his wife has such open-minded lifestyle attitudes, can the OP really feel that he can trust his wife with anything? Especially if he is away and off the scene for long periods at a time.

My advice to the OP is, change occupations and stay on the scene where he can share and have more influence on the welfare of his kids and to keep tabs on what his wife is doing. Otherwise, if not, than he’s going to have big problems later on.

    Your comment is absurd Beetlejuice.

Saying the op cant trust his wife, he should work closer to home, her family is no good and big family problems later on....<deleted>?

    Gods sake, chill out.

    Shes 7.

  6. Many many conservative and religious-minded people feel that mass media has been embedding pornographic sexuality deep into the subconsciousness of our youth for many decades now.

If you yourself as a parent are concerned about this, then you simply need to minimize the exposure of your children to popular culture, and accept the fact that they will be considered deprived freaks by the mainstream.

Personally I do this, but more because of my concerns about depictions of violence and the raising of consumerism above all over values.

Yeah but they used to think rock n roll was the devil also.....

    Sorry for going off topic.
