National parks are free for all to visit in Scandinavia. In Thailand they want to call every nice island and waterfall a national park and charge silly money for visiting it.

Sometimes, you just have to man up and do the right thing. Though this lowlife would not know anything about that. Will they ever learn? Are they capable of learning? 

I believe that the Chinese manufacturer was the company that offered the thickest brown envelopes for the guys running the show in Thailand, don't think that the price of the product was important for them.

Got my pass after two days, booked the SHA`plus hotel trough Agoda and the insurance trough Tune company, think they have sorted out some of the problems they had the first week now.

Really nice way to welcome tourists to Thailand. Blame it on the unwashed, dirty Farangs.

Something is missing, they have not mentioned how much money the 7000 "tourists" will spend.

In France you now have to show min 2000 Euros to be able to apply for a normal single entry tourist visa to Thailand, apparently they don't want any normal families with two-three kids coming for a holiday. 

Just always keep two to five hundred Baht in the car if ever getting stopped by the mafia wearing brown dresses, most of the time it will get you off the hook, if you have been stopped when you are really <deleted>, max five thousand Baht will be the fine, pay the first cop who asks for money, will save you cash and time. Just remember never run over a police relative, things will cost you much more than.

It says that you need 700 USD in a bank account to be able to apply for a tourist visa also, here in France it's 2000 Euros. Strange that they can not agree on uniform rules.

I would like to visit my house in Trat, but in the rules it says only Koh Chang area, very unclear, how many days do I have to stay in Koh Chang until I can visit Trat town?
