No, it won’t affect the elites at all. They will continue to prosper. The elites all own US stock, crypto and foreign property. With no signs that the money printing will slow, inflation will continue to get hidden in equities and real estate. BTC will be well over $500,000 by 2025 and the Nasdaq north of 20k. Anyone that doesn’t hold US tech equities + cryptocurrency is in deep trouble moving forward. The elites know this and have been loading up. Fiat will be worthless soon so the poor will get double cucked unfortunately.
So if CP group's sales in their retail outlets goes down by 30% you are saying they are not affected?

They can add another 73 Thais to the daily list. 73 out of 76 Thai berry pickers in the village of Tväråsel near Älvsbyn in Sweden have tested positive, they had received one vaccine injection in Thailand before departure and all had negative PCR tests from Thailand. They are now all in quarantine.

A police spokesman said Thursday authorities will investigate photos of people collapsing on the streets, which they said some of them may have been "staged" to incite fear. Perpetrators of fake news face up to two years in prison and/or a fine of up to 40,000 baht, he warned.

"Staged" Shame on you Thai police spokesman. You are now threatening the same people that you are suppose to protect with a 40,000 baht fine and up to two years in prison, poor people who are now dying in the streets.

Anyway, the dug the hole themselves. Only sad that this will not affect the Elite, but only make them richer.
At the end this will affect the elite, people got less cash now to spend in the elite owned seven-elevens, Big C's, Centrals etc.

But now I’m told it also doesn’t include naturalized Thais even if they have a Thai ID card and passport. Apparently you have to be born Thai [1/2]
I’ve always believed that if I got Thai citizenship I would enjoy the same rights and benefits as a person born Thai. But apparently that’s not true. The person who contacted me gave up his citizenship to become Thai. But now he feels like a 2nd class citizen #Thailand [2/2]

Pray tell how they would have been allowed to board a flight, oh wait fake certificates. Is that even possible in todays day and age where follow-ups are supposedly being done by the airlines as well as a self attestation being signed by the flier. Maybe faked certs in Sweden, perhaps, or is the employer grasping at straws and trying to deflect from his practices on safety.
The CPR tests were from Thailand. Seems like they are either faked or not very accurate.

117 Thai berry pickers from Thailand in Sweden are infected with the virus. One of the employers believe that they all have faked PCR tests and vaccination records. The workers have been isolated and been given food and drinks.

Meanwhile, Singapore will open up fully for vaccinated travelers in September, but they are not ruled by clowns and are not seeing the vaccination as a get rich quick scam.

Most civilized countries started to vaccinate the elderly first. Here, the HiSo's and the connected got vaccinated first. Watching the health minister and the so called "PM" being vaccinated many months ago makes me think of that captain on the Italian cruise liner who jumped off before women and children when the ship was sinking.

Population adjusted equals about 100,000 Thais. Roughly 100,000 more Thais would need to perish to equal Sweden success.
Common sense - wear masks, stay away from groups and figure out this vaccine screwup. Definitely don't try to emulate Sweden.
Sweden's death rate per mil. from Corvid s similar or lower to most of the European countries COVID Live Update: 194,372,584 Cases and 4,167,937 Deaths from the Coronavirus - Worldometer (worldometers.info) and those countries locked down. The other Scandinavian countries had a much lower death rate compared to Sweden, a main reason was that they had less part time workers at their retirement homes, who infected the old people living there. Many of the other European countries that locked down had lost over ten % of their economies, Sweden is one of the few countries in the EU block with a growing economy during this period.

Sweden did not wipe out their population and they never locked down and had no face mask regulations. Life is back to normal there now.

Seems like a textbook how to destroy the country's economy, even richer countries failed with long lockdowns. Sweden never locked down and had not one dead from Corvid yesterday, and they used mostly Pfizer.

You failed to mention that Sweden has a very high death rate per capita. At 18 months in Thailand would have to have 100k dead to be on par with Sweden. So please tell me again how wonderful things have been in Sweden. By their own admission they have failed miserably.
Can't you read? I wrote that 14.600 Swedes died from Corvid, less than Belgium with a similar population, a country that locked down. Swedes are buying new cars, boats and house prices are increasing, Swedish citizens has never been as wealthy as they are now.

The PM points out the main issue is availability of the vaccines and method of distribution. We all know that..
People should not read into it that there will be a quick solution within few months and return to normality . everyone is focusing on tourism. Nobody will go on vacation to Thailand this year.. That is a wishful thought.
Given how other countries are managing the vaccine distribution for many month , herd immunity has not be reached yet or even reached it like in the Seychelles island people got infected (recent news). The fear is mutation of the virus.
Assuming that the virus does not keep on mutation , we should look at mid next year before most of the population will be vaccinated
In today news, Guangzhou went into lockdown even with their vaccination effort.
Normality in the world will not happen soon.
NOBODY will go on vacation soon.
I am on a holiday now in Sweden, life is good here.

The level of fear in this forum is spiking exponential.
It makes me wonder how a country like Sweden can manage to live day-to-day without the entire population wetting themselves in fear. Yet they do.
Just watching this process is an education in human psychology and it's practical applications. Never in my life had I expected to see anything like this. But here it is.
I left Thailand in April last year and went to Sweden, a move that I am very happy for after reading how things are now in Thailand. It was hard during the very cold winter months, some days was minus fifteen Celsius, but for me personal freedom is very important. Sweden has not locked down one single day so far and no crazy facemask rules when outside like most other countries in Europe. I have received two shots of Pfizer for free and there are only twenty Corvid patients in ICU care in the whole of the country now. 14.600 Swedes died from Corvid, less than Belgium with a similar population, and they locked down their country. The Swedish economy is doing great and life is like normal here. When this pandemic is over the Thai military "government" will face a <deleted>storm I believe, destroying a big percentage of the economy by creating a fear situation amongst the population. I really hope that they will be held responsible for the mess that they have created.

In my case each time the decision to refuse has been taken by a uniformed official, not by a nurse or doctor - in fact the nurses have always accepted that at my age (64) and with diabetes (stable but nonetheless a chronic condition) that I should be vaccinated. Refusal has been decided by a civil servant. It is difficult to avoid the conclusion that clinical needs are not considered, but here at least (Chiang Rai) vaccination is being allocated according to political decisions driven by xenophobia.
I have been refused by officialdom at provincial level - twice at the walk in centre operated by the main provincial hospital and once by the education ministry (I was the only teacher from my school not to be vaccinated, I am the only white teacher at the school). However I am sure that it also affects the Thais - this is anecdotal, but i am told in the rural amphur in which I live the police have all been vaccinated, the soldiers at the local army camp (only a small one with a couple of hundred men) have all been vaccinated, the government officials and, umh, err, that is it! Even the medical staff at the local hospital have not been vaccinated! An utter dogs breakfast!
Putting a stop to this form of pork barrel decision making should be one of the steps being taken...
I feel very sorry for you. I love the normal Thai people, but the current bunch of traitors dressed in uniforms are the ones who destroy this once great place to live and do business in. I hope that one day the average Thai will figure this out and kick those leaches back into the gutters where they belong,
