If you are in BKK go to a Citibank branch. They can get it sorted for you. They have branches at Asok, Central World, Silom road

Just get a normal hard drive and format it with Disc Utility on your Mac.
Even the hard drives sold at the Apple stores need to be formatted correctly.

Does anyone know of any Fitness Studio/Gym in Nong Prue, Pattaya City or even Jomtien, which offers to take care of your children while you are in classes or on the floor.
I and my wife would love to join a gym, but with 2 babies it is just not possible to do it together during weekends.

Asked if Telstra is offering Voice over WIFI. If yes, the only thing you need is a wifi network to make and receive calls according to your Australian calling plan.

You will most likely not receive a loan.
i just went down that road and one of the basic requirements was my wife to have a job for at least one year with social and tax payments.
Further i had to supply a work permit, credit rating in Thailand as well as proof of social and tax payments.
without those no bank wanted to loan any money.
if you consider opening a business, you would need to supply as well data for two years of income, tax payments, etc. otherwise you would not be approved for a commercial loan.
ther would be one way to go through MBK loan or Bangkok Bank Singapore. But not sure about their conditions as I only looked into it for house loan.

There are songthaews on On Nut road going to BTS On Nut and the opposite way to Srinakarin road. There you would need to change to get to Seacon Square.

If the weather is good, take the Peak Tram, go to visit Lantau Island and take the Gong Ping cable car. In the evening go to the harbor on the Tsim She Tsui Side. Visit the Avenue of Stars and then watch the light show. Usually around 8pm.
For markets you could visit the Temple Street and surrounding areas close to Jordan MTR station.
You could as well visit Stanley Market and Repulse Bay with their Chinese Temples. The Maritime Museum is always nice to visit.

Because of all those kind of troubles from Thai departments as well from my own embassy I went to get married in Hong Kong.
A lot easier and still recognized in most countries. Added bonus a short honeymoon vacation.

Most of the "extra" holidays during this year is for the government. The private sector can choose. We ignored those days and continued working as usual as otherwise it would have cost the company dearly.

That depends on experience, country of origin, work permit involved, location, etc. I know that some pay their non Thai nannies around THB 12000 in Pattaya. Bangkok more like THB 15000-18000. We are paying our thai nanny around THB 16000 per month as live in for 2 kids. 6 days a week working, one day off. She seems to be happy with it and our kids are well taken care of.

Thank you for your comment guzzi850m2. Sadly we di nit have the time as i would love to bring him and pick him up, but we start work to early and come back late. Therefore sadly no options. I know the school is more demanding, but I do not want to enroll him in a school where he is getting good marks handed over just because the teacher shall not fail any student. In regards to hitting my son. I will leave this up to the imagination of the teachers what would happen if they try.

It seems that Fibrocide contains Fipronil. As soon as the area you put it on is dry, it is harmless. You need to be careful though, that you apply it directly to the skin and not the hair.
More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fipronil

I have the following issue and I hope somebody can help or advice me.
I decided to enrol my almost 2 year old son in the Maryvit nursery school. Issue is, that they do not provide any transportation at that age.
Due to work me and my wife are not able to bring him and pick him up from the nursery classes.
If you have the same issue, how did you solve it? A friend suggested to try to find a teacher with a car, who has the same schedule then my son or another parent, who would be willing to do the extra trip and share the costs for gas, etc.
Not sure if this would be the right way, but I would be open to anything.
Therefore my questions:
1. Do you know any teachers in the nursery or kindergarten of Maryvit school, who lives near Soi Siam Country Club and who has a car?
2. Do you know any parent with a car, living close to it and might be interested?
3. Do you know of any companies/taxis/private drivers, who would be interested to do the job?
4. Do you have any other suggestions I might not have thought about?
Looking forward to your valuable input.

Not sure if this is the right forum or if it should be in the Pattaya section. I am looking for somebody who knows or has experience in private school/nursery busses. I will send my little one to nursery school soon, but due to the starting and ending times, my wife and I would not be able to bring him or pick him up, due to work and the school does not arrange transport for his age.
Does anyone know of any company or person specializing in transporting toddlers to the different schools? Either private or as a bus tour?
Further any ideas in regards to costs?
Thank you for your input and ideas.

I will send my son to nursery in a couple of month as soon as he is turning 2 years. I think it is best for him to be around with other kids, learn to socialize as early as possible. At the school I send him he will be between 8am and 2:30pm. They usually have a lot of play activities in Thai and English, which I think is wonderful. In my home country most of the children will be enrolled in nursery at the age of 2 years.

That depends what you have agreed during your marriage. If you agreed she is using your name, than she has received a name change certificate and has to change her name as it is a legal requirement. Same in any other country I know of.
In case you have not registered for a name change, then she does not have to change her id.

Further I think it is quite easy for them to claim a "Force Majeure" as mentioned in the contract. That would give them all the time needed to finish the unit without being in delay and without needing to pay you any refund or compensation.

We used the formula only until 4 month but then started with mashed food, like banana mixed with rice, pumpkin soup, etc. just a bit and always depending on our little ones. Our Doctor even recommended it.
From 6 month onwards we introduce one meal per day.
Usually something mashed (potatoes, pumpkin, fish with rice, etc.)
Get some BPA free bottles and be mindful of the formula. Some tend to leave the babies constipated. We tried some, but ended up with NAN from Nestle. Sadly there was not a different one our little ones tummy was happy with.
Did you buy a car seat or an infant seat? You should leave him in the infant car carrier as long as possible as it is protecting is back the most.
You might want to consider a small bath tub, which can be put on a table. Easier to handle and clean the little one with.
Get some lotion like Eucerin to moisturize his skin and some nappy cream in case his bud is getting red or having a rash.
Otherwise it looks like you are mostly set. Therefore try to relax and go with the flow. You will make a lot of small runs to the store as you might have forgotten something, which you require.
Enjoy.

I just got a golden, born in January. Will pick him up this weekend. If you like I can give you the contact. Just pm me.Hello everyone,
We are looking to buy a cat or a dog, still haven't decided on this one. It really depends on what we can find. Is there any websites or facebook groups in Thailand that post ads for pets for sale? If you know any can you please post them here, I would be very grateful.
Live in small town and remote area so there isn't much around here.

Maybe try in Hong Kong. It might be easier as a lot of documents are unnecessary there

Why not buy a true interim or activate the voip tariff for most mobile phones. Starts with 1thb a minute. Not more expensive then calling cards but a lot more convenient. Check out the website of true, DTAC and AIS. All have English information available.

Has the service disruption anything to do with the arrests and seizure of some or all of their equipment by the police?
