  1. Skyline Deluxe by Marianne Le Solleil Levant it is currently available only in german A romantic novella about the adventure of an erotic experiment in the science of love A photorealistic fairy tale for adults. A book like a poem. While on a business trip to Bangkok, a dreamy free spirit and musician, Tom encounters a Japanese woman at the table next to him at breakfast. He finds himself fascinated by her inexplicable attraction to him. His helpless attempts to establish contact do not hinder her self-confident presence. The miraculous harmony as a couple of two individuals from very different backgrounds in a special constellation leads from the consistently loving tentative approach into an intense liaison on all levels. The ecstatic encounter of condensed emotional experience in the comfortable surroundings of a five-star ambiance allows their loving affection to blossom rapidly. Sensitive, personal conversations alternate with philosophical, ideological discourses, tender exaggeration embellishes the mundane everyday acts of getting to know each other, and the erotic exploration of their physical unions is not lacking in its intensity. They have a lot of fun, and more than a few comedic scenes garnish the proceedings. The suddenly intimate partners are each gentle and cheeky, awkward and funny in their own way. In the complement of the equally tolerant yet strict Asian society and the no less complementary advantages of prosperity with its demand for decent correctness, they stagger into friendly romance steeped in their otherworldly amour fou. Happiness has a catch. Both know it. It was her idea. He agreed. Skyline Deluxe is a metaphysical love story unfolding in real time. Insanely sexy. Extremely clever. Super interesting. So very romantic. Totally amusing. And pretty funny. fyi: the cover is a traditional image of the kinaree manora. one of the ancient tales, a love story of a celestial kinaree
  2. which way? Did you give her a written document the bank accepted, that gives her access? Or else?
  3. Listen to DrJack54, it is all right. Do not know if Samui is different. I have been to Samui Immigration only once for an extension decades ago and found them friendly and fast. Sawasdii - what you want - extension of visa - looks in passport - stamp - thank you - smile
  4. Please Jing Joe, I am not a doctor, but was informed clearly by mine at a time, when another issue (fixed) could lead to similar cramps. I post spontaniously because i think YOU SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR. The point is - I do not want to scare you but comfort you. that sounds like a relevant lack of calcium. at least some time. the cramps you tell us seem to be typical. Yet they may occure for a different reason. Again i am not a doctor. magnesium uses the same channels as calcium. yet you can't go without calcium. No. Little cramps may not be a problem, (scary) but you do not know of the cause of calcium lack or may it get worse. The doctors at the time of my situation kept me in the hospital just to be safe, if there would be an effect. BECAUSE in the worst case you get fast into a state you cannot do much and get into heavy agony that leads to even death if nobody cares for you well. I told them, there will be somebody all the time. They said, fine, but to get the necessary treatment when it goes that bad, i have come to the hospital. and i may have only 15 minutes! or less. mostly it isnt too bad, still you should get checked and get the proper medication. before there is problem. best wishes and most of the stuff can be fixed well today
  5. Do not worry. I did it after the Covid lock was lifted, as there was no short term appointment possible for a visa in my hometown, but we wanted to enter Thailand asap. There is no problem getting that usual 30 extension. Follow Dr.Jack. (yes it is 1900 Baht) Do not worry.
  6. Hi, if a french person moves to germany, does (s)he ever become german? (Yes he may get german nationality, passport etc. officially, but does (s)he become german?). Same with germans moving to the states, italians moving to spain (maybe their mentality is close to each other but still?). We are not thai and will not become thai before we are born again 😉 FYIO: I have come to Thailand for decades, do not speak much of the lingo but tried from the start, etc etc I am sure you may get accepted, respected and treated as a part of the community if you act like a part of the community. Everybody who still picks on the "you will be an ATM forever" thing may have got one of those wrong: 1 Maybe you measure people, yourself or everything by the means of money and think the whole world is alike. 2 You actually got the wrong people around you. Did you choose them to be with you? 3 It is no charity: If you live in your homecountry, do you get everything for free? Aren't the bills actually higher there? 4 Maybe deep down in your ...you enjoy being the rich one and need to proof it to yourself. Enjoy. (do not feel superior. you are not. you got that wrong. 😉 ) 5 Once the italian actor of "life is beautiful" who wasn't successful and suddenly became famous was asked about his familiy and money. He answered: when you are poor, you always think about money. If your are rich, you ONLY think about money. 6 You obviously hev not realized a lot of things that are important to Thais besides or even more than money. Look at the man in the mirror and consider any case individually. Almost always i felt welcomed.
  7. Hi, i do not consider myself a specialist on visa issues, but some years ago there was a similar (and even worse) problem for a guest at the same resort. IN SAMUI. Czech women, travelling together and not the first time. Staying three months as usual and not familiar with any details as the tourist is usually taken care off. One of them just found out, that her visa wasn't used and she only got the 30 days AND was already on a relevant overstay. She was nervously telling this to the massage women as she was scared to tell the resort owner (an old man we knew for more than a decade and even called him papa, but the czech woman was afraid, he might be angry.). She asked him and he was urgently telling her to fix it. Now she was more nervous about what to do and the massage women, who also knew us some years, suggested to talk to me. I told her the simple truths, that it is serious, but can be fixed. That she needs to do it as soon as possible, which means today (as it was a normal working day, immigration open). I told her, that she could be arrested and deported in case she gets controlled on the way to nathon, but hardly will happen, and she should not worry, but just go there. Now i gave the advice, i think, is the most relevant: Get dressed properly. Long sleeve, trousers or long skirt. Clean. Wear a bra. No slippers but closed shoes and maybe even socks. It does not matter if you sweat. When you adress the IO, do not say "You made amistake." Say: "I have a problem, can you please help me." (For my experience over more then three decades, Thais will help you, if asked nicely.) She went nervously. Came back some time in the afternoon, studying the new stamps with her fellow girls and the massage women, cause they were not sure about the meaning calling me again for help, if this would be OK. I looked at it and they now stamped the tourist visa (still stickers that time) USED changed the dates and signed extra stamp. Still no expert, to me it looked absolutely fine. I asked her, if the officers were angry, made problems, asked for money or anything uncomfortable happened. She answered: Not at all. for my ten cents: Go there - you are not even on overstay. Mind your appearance. Mind your words. Show trust. And you'll be fine. (The TM30: when your AirBnb asked for your ID, they might have done it. If they didn't and the IO critizises, tell them your true stay, cause it is the duty of the AirBnb, and if they haven't taken care of you, their trouble should not be yours.) regards
  8. it gets better 😉 I have done it and it was ok the first time. now i have found the right way to search it by the users guide (yeah could have used that before but i don't like users guides. i am just to arrogant to have a computer tell me what to do 😉 now i was searching how to delete this topic and haven't found it yet. call me an idiot would be OK. may an admin delete it? thank you
  9. Hi again, i even can not find the site again, where to notify the foreigner. I cannot find/see a button o go there. Please forgive me, if i am "blind", but usually i ain't got problems like this.
  10. Hello to everyone, arrived yesterday. Did the TM30 online today. (I think i did it) The account of my wife was set up before. Today i had to do the new password, than was asked for address. Everything approved. Next put in the details of me arriving at the adress. Actually it seemed only possible by uploading an excel file (no direct input, but anyway) Seemed to be OK (clicked SAVE) but there was no sign of approval. Now if i search for it the "data cannot be found" - if i put the details in again it says "data duplicated". Therefore i think it must have been in already. What am i missing?
  11. thank you - yes i think so , too, but better be careful
  12. please forgive the suprficial writing should read: the account is in the name of my wife (only the one from WISE) i know the transaction itself ist a simple act.
  13. Hi, my only worries are: Is it a problem if the WISE account is the name if my wife? Thanks for the note about the selected purpose. Probably would have seen that, but good to know in adavnce what to look for.
  14. Yes, we use WISE. The question is: does it matter if the Wise account is in my wife's name, when the 400k are transfered to my bank account in Thailand for immigration/visa purpose?
  15. Forgive me, must have been asked before. we will soon move to Thailand, where i will apply for non o based on marriage. with the account in my name, i got to send the money there. my wife uses a wise acoount already. I could get one, too, but actually we have no need of another wise account. if i use the wise account of my wife (sending the money from my account in germany to her wise acc.) and from there to my bank acc. in Thailand, may the IO have a problem like: "that is not your money", "not coming from you" or does it just not matter at all? thanks in advance
  16. Actually i thought, the insurance wants annual check ups for they will know about the condition, but won't mind covering them by myself. You are right about the need for serious accidents and major illnesses (heart attack, cancer, stroke, kidney failure etc). And yes the discount for annually payment is good. I just have to sort the offers. regards to Sheryl
  17. Sheryl, thank you so much for your effort. The 60 km far hospital is the Buriram hospital. The small ones are closer. There was no cancer. I will check the links. There are some insurers, i wouldn't know of. I checked Cigna, As they advertise so much, already and am not especially convinced. Actually, as i find also in your info, lots of services are not expensive, the insurance is mostly for accidents, unexpected issues and common stuff for the time we get older, like yearly checks to prevent further conditions. (trying to still sound confident: i will never trust in an only spoken "info" of a agent without binding form) the german companies seem to offer only travel insurances or if you call it expatriate insurance they still ask for residence in germany. otherwise it gets really expensive yet it covers the whole world which is no benefit to me. My current insurer for germany does not cover thailand at all, despite it would be cheaper...
  18. flyingtiger I could not find health insurance on the LMG website. BKKKevin i got a travelinsurance before (very well), but not for permanent stay. Thank you Sheryl: There is no choice where to live, but we are fine with Buriram - closest hospital 13km just renovated, anaother one the foreigners recommend 25 km, big ones 60 km in Buriram town. My wife does not really know yet, what the 30 Baht sheme includes, so maybe it is better then she thinks. I will be 60 when we arrive, preconditions are removed thyrox (everything cool, just need the hormones (around 15 - 19 € for 100 and even cheaper online) - can cover that, if necessary and a slightly up blood pressure (can also cover the pills, if necessary). In rather good health in total, despite some doctors focus on risks, which i don't.
  19. Thank You flyingtiger. I will check
  20. Best wishes for a nice day, my wife (Thai) and me (German) will move to Thailand this year. We like to have health insurance. My wife of course is eglible to what they call the 30 Baht sheme, but not me (or am I?) This seems to be rather basic, even for her. If any of you may recommend a way to get a health insurance, company, experience will be appreciated. We also consider a coverage by the SSO and may top it up with a bit of private insurance. But i have red on the net the SSO only comes into consideration, if you work for a thai company (of course with a work permit), or if you have been in and paid for at least 12 months. Is it mandatory to start that with a job or are there other legal options to use the SSO? Feel free to ask for more information. kind regards
  21. Thanks to everybody. I never grew much interest in Pattaya. Of course the age for retirement in germany is irrelevant. Just an information that there is no regular state pension yet. We would not mind the pictures taken. Before we have been young and pretty. Now we are only pretty. ;-) Seems like we will be fine either way we do it. kind regards
  22. Maybe it helps to tell you, that we are married for 31 years. That is why we could do the things mentioned above already.
  23. Thanks Dr.Jack for the detailed answer and the links. Thanks also to OJAS. Forgive me that i couldn't answer your questions earlier, was truely busy. To answer your questions: My wife is Thai, from Buriram. We married in Denmark. I got a yellow House Book and Pink ID. The marriage was also registered at the Aphmoe before and again verified for the YHB an PID. The foreign certificate was translated and legalized from Denmark, Thai Embassy Kopenhagen, Thai Embassy Berlin, etc and again in Munich, Bangkok. I did not mention because i felt save, it should be OK. Actually i planned to put the 400k. I thought i need to have it in the Thai bank two months before application. Therefore need more than 60 days, not to get under pressure. Easy if it is enough to be there on the day of application. I am not yet officially retired. Pension age at the moment (they threat to push it up more) in Germany is 67. kind regards
  24. Thanks Dr.Jack, i do have a Thai Bank account in my name only. I would have got the Non-O. But of course getting in visa exempt or tourist visa would be easier. Does it make a difference to the entry with Non O? Reentry permit is Ok. We do not plan to leave Thailand a lot. Happy to get there.
  25. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, my wife and me will move to Thailand this year. Therefore i need an allowance for permanent stay. As far as I understood, there is no way to get a Non O-A based on marriage outside Thailand - we are in Munich,Germany. I need to get a Non-O for 90 days, which i can/should extend in Thailand. Is this right so far? The Questions: 1. An extension will be for one whole year? with multiple entries? (We are not planning to return to germany, but maybe visit a neighbouring country.) 2. Are there any requirements for the extension besides the usual money in the bank, the proof of marriage, proof of adress. Like a medical certificate, a health insurance (we will get one anyway), a criminal record clearance (no worries, but would have to bring it) or other? 3. Do different IO will ask for different things for the extension? We will be in Buriram. This maybe be discussed and cleared in another topic already, yet i could not find it. Please accept my apology to not actually get along well with the search. kind regards
