  1. While we're here, can someone please inform me of the operating hours for the Jomtien-central Pattaya baht buses. Many thanks.
  2. I found this a great watch (available on the BBC): https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/may/28/a-battery-drain-on-my-mind-body-and-soul-warwick-thornton-on-why-he-needed-to-escape-in-the-bbeach
  3. Can somebody please inform me what the financial requirements are when uploading the bank statement for a SETV (UK applicant)? Many thanks.
  4. You should be able to see whether the premises physically exists where the owner says it does by using the 'street view' function on Google Maps. I'd then compare what you see with any photos they have on their Google Reviews, company website, Facebook page, etc. Good luck.
  5. Maybe also try posting your query in the Laos forum (found under 'ASEAN Countries'). Good luck.
  6. Some of my best night's have been in these types of places or similar, although admittedly I'd normally have a friend or two with me, but not always. In reality though, many western men here would be way out of their comfort zone in these types of establishments. Some would not only be uncomfortable but actually (unnecessarily) scared to enter.

  8. Not sure how up-to-date the information is but this link may be of use. Touch on the nightlife tab at the top of the page for a fairly comprehensive list of towns and cities. https://www.thailandredcat.com/
  9. Hi, Does anyone know of a place in Chiang Mai to get a belt fixed, specifically replacing the buckle? TIA
  10. Obviously your dates will affect the price but The Westin Grande Sukhumvit and the Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 appear to fall within your budget, and have the advantage of being on both the BTS and MRT lines. The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit (lovely pool area) is a bit more expensive but in the same area. Admittedly, I've always favoured Sukhumvit over Silom/Satorn, but regardless of which area you choose, it's easy enough to move between them.
