At changwatana they want a second copy of everything right? So should I have 2 photos of us and address and 2 of the others? As said it depends upon the immigration office you have to use. Some want photos printed at a photo shop.
I print mine out on A4 paper with 2 per page (only a total of 4 photos needed). Never a problem with the office here.
Or is it just some items they want 2 copies?
This will be my first extension based on marriage

Ok cool thanks.
I hope they like my art work hahaha they may think a child drew it.
-
One question about map...
Can I use a Google map that has the route from Changwatana to my address highlighted? (I think is more clear)
Or does it have to be a actual hand drawn one by me?
I ask because I read a "hand drawn" to show them?? I don't know if they mean literally hand drawn.

Is that 4x6 inch?Just normal sizes photos.
-
Ok back to my question what size photo? for changwatana
Thanks.
I'm not going to bring photos of birthday or others.... just the required address shot, room number shot and in each room shot. Living area and bed area.

I will go to changwatana bkk.
I will take my digital camera to a photo print shop and they use cannon photo paper. So it will be glossy paper. What size should the actual photo should be? 4x6? I can get 2 on one sheet then up to me if I want them cut out or just leave them on one sheet.
So what is the size of photo and should they be cut out or left on one if going to Changwatana bkk?
-
What should the photo size should be of me and wife in front of address and around the house for first extension at immigration 4x6 inch?
And also should they be cut out individually so the officer can choose which one? Or can I print 2-3 on a photo paper? Photo paper being standard letter size 8x11

Thank you
You will be doing an extension of stay based upon marriage. Visas are not extended.I'm glad someone posted about this. I have some questions too.
I will be doing my first extension in a month or so for non-o based on marriage at Bkk Changwatana. Do we need to bring a witness 1 or 2 or none?
Also we rent a apartment, do I have to register my our address? If so how? Or is my rent contract and rent recite good enough? Also there was something else mentioned about landlords house registration???
And do I need 2 copies of everything even tm-7
Also my kor-2 will be about 7 months old when I apply for extension. Do I need a updated one from amphor?
You will not need witnesses at CW. They probably will do a home visit instead.
Your rental contract will be needed when you apply for the extension there is no registration. It would be good to have a copy of the owners house book and ID card in case they want that also.
At CW you will only need one TM7 form and a set of copies to attach to it.
Reports for CW indicate you do not need an updated Kor Ror 2 but that can always change. My advise is to get an updated one since they are so easy to get at any Amphoe or Khet (20 baht).
The only problem I see is getting a copy of the apartments owners house book and ID. The staff at the office are very unhelpful. How can I do?

I just got my non o based on marriage Tuesday at Savannakhet. Went smoothly and they did not want or see my original marriage certificate. Just copies and passport and money. Passport was ready at 2pm.
I would suggest to have your original as it is required if they want it.
I would also like to thank ubonjoe and other posters with their help with my questions and information of what is and isn't needed

When entering back into Thailand from savannakhet with a non-o single entry. Do I need to show 20,000 baht?
-
Has anyone recently gone to Savannakhet and remember their picture size? The 4x5.25cm that I have seem large for the space to glue on the application form.
I have smaller ones that fit in the black lines specified to put pictures.
From other posts it's mentioned "passport size" no dimensions but it seems big.
Anyone remembers what they used at the thai consulate at Savannakhet?
Every consulate and embassy is different so I'm asking specifically about Savannakhet

Do you think I should place it in my paperwork like in the order I mentioned above? I don't want to anger the official with excess paper. Or just have it handy and wait if I'm asked for it?My wife had to take my name when we got married. Her maiden name is on the marriage certificate like every brides will be.
Never have been asked for a name change document. That is good because she was not given one.
They will not want one in Savannakhet.
I don't want to wait till the end of the day or next while they are processing the application and it's denied because of different last name. Even though her maiden name is now her middle and my last name is now hers too.

Should I place the copies in order behind the marriage certificate?
Right now it's like this:
1. Application (with 2 photos of mine glued to it)
2. Copy of marriage certificate Kor.3 (the pretty one)
3. Copy of name Chang certificate
4. Copy of my passport photo page
5. Copy of wife's id card (with her new name)
6. Copy of wife's house book (with new name)
-
I'm going to Thai consulate Savannakhet. My wife changed her last name to mine. She has new Id, house book copy with her new name. The amphor gave her certificate of name change too.
Do I need to add this certificate of name Change to my paperwork to apply for my non-o based on marriage?
Like next to the marriage certificate and her copies of id and house book?
Her original family name is now her middle name and now share my last name.

I'm going to Savannakhet to apply for a non-o
I know the photo size has to be 4x6cm but mine are 4x5.25cm. Is this ok?

What should my wife bring with her if she is using her Thai passport?
Passport
Thai ID
4X6cm photo
Copy of passport
Anything else?

I'm a U.S.citizen and going to Savannakhet Laos this Tuesday. Is it still $35 U.S.dollar to cross into Laos?
And also my wife who is Thai will be going with me, she wants to use her Thai passport to cross into Laos. How much for her?
I'm asking because I want to have the correct amount of U.S.dollars with me because I heard it's cheaper then using Thai baht.
Also if it is $35 is there a charge to cross back into Thailand? Like U.S.dollars or Thai baht?

I'm planning on going to Savannaket next Tuesday to apply for a single entry non-O based on marriage.
I'm from the U.S. do I or should I show proof of funds from U.S. embassy? Would it be wise to have a affidavit just in case? I thought Savannakhet did not require this.
-
This might be a silly question but on the copy front and back on one paper of my marriage certificate. Should it be color or black and white? And also my copy of passport?
Then second question... on occupation what would be the best they would like to see?
I'm a 41yr old American who gets disability from SSA so I don't work. Should I put retired or none or none w/disability?

Hello I downloaded a visa application form for the Thai Consulate Savannakhet.
There was a great Topic earlier with example of how to fill out the visa form.
I will be going to go to Savannakhet in November to apply for a Non-O Single entry based on marriage.
I have a question about box #4
First Line: "Purpose of visit" (I will put "wife")
Second: "Date of arrival in Thailand"
Do I put proposed arrival when I re-enter wich will be Nov. 2014? Or when I entered in June 2012 for ED?
Third: "Traveling by"
If it is my Proposed arrival I will put "Land" If Not the probosed date then it would be airplane when I came in June 2012.
Fourth: "Date of a Previous visit to Thailand"
This one would be the one after I get a awnser from the second Line.
Fith: "Duration of proposed stay"
Being that Im applying for a Non-O Single entry I guess I put 90 days right?
Thank you for your help
Like I said I looked at a previous topic and it looked liked he filled out the form in Jan.2014 But all his dates of arivals were 2013 for the second line. Thats where im getting confused.

Maybe I should get a letter just to be safe?
You should not need to have a letter from the school when crossing to Savannakhet.I entered on a ed visa and my last extension of stay is end of November.
I'm going to Savannakhet on the 18 of November to get a non_O based on marriage.
Do I need a letter from school?
And do I need to go to immigration before I plan to go?
Or can I just leave by land border and get my new visa basses on marriage with out any letter from school or immigration?
I figured by leaving cancels the old then apply and enter on the new.
Certainly no need to go to immigration.
Your extension will be gone as soon as you leave.
That way I would have it if asked.

it was recommended to get a updated kor ror 2 for extension at immigration for 20 baht.
Can me and my wife go to any Amphor here in Bkk to get one? And what should we bring when we ask for one?
