The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a service which will authenticate/certify translations. You have to first get the doxuments translated by a registeted translation service then bring original + translation + an application form and likely a few other things to them. Maybe others can provide more detail.

Surely iriginal Thai records accpmpanied by a certified translation would be accepted?

thank you for your suggestion. we will look into that. Right now all we have is each record of each visit but it is in dr. Scribble almost like a form of short hand. So we need him to spell it out. In a legible letter.

While hospitals have a legal obligation to release your wife's records they do not as far as I know have an obligation to translate them.   I suggest you ask  whether a translation service can be used. Or pursue with Bumrungrad whether they can prepare a translation for you. They obviously have the ability to read them.

Have ypu discussed the translation problem with the Embassy?

yes embassy said "do what the aproved panel physician says" which is Bumrungrad.

Bumrungrad says they have to send her hospital records of previous completion of treatment  from the hospital that treatedher in English. And this will be in her sealed medical clearance package that she brings with her to the port of entry in USA. Last I checked California doesn't read thai...

Kluanamthai can be a nightmare.  It is not a well run hospital and the staff are as unhelpful as any could be.  We took my GF's mother there for treatment of multiple ailments because it was close to where we lived.  It did not take us long to realize our mistake.  Doctors were cursory and dismissive of any attempt to gain information. Record keeping was non-existent, thus we were never able to get reimbursement from her regional hospital insurance. When, like you we changed hospitals we were unable to get any accurate records of her treatment.  Itemization of bills was incoherent and arbitrary.

    To be avoided.

I'm sorry for your troubles it sounds like what we are going through.

Are problem is we need all records in English showing her 6 months of antibiotic treatment that is already completed. We don't want to change to another hospital and do more antibiotic treatment because the side effects were harsh.

I feel that Kluaynamthai needs to step up because they treated her for communicable dieses. Or get sued or reported. We don't have a choice but to get the information from the hospital. I hope with all the awareness of the coronavirus they will be responsible.

  4. My wife is applying for a US visa and needs medical exam at Bumrungrad Hospital. She was treated for TB last year at Kluaynamthai Hospital. Bumrungrad is requesting her medical records in english from her hospital like perscriptions, x-rays and lab results. we were able to get from her doctor a writen note in english start and finish of treatment signed by the dr. but this is not enouph for Bumrungrad to send with her US DS-forms that embassy and CDC require for her to get medical clearence.

We are having a problem with my wife's hospital and Dr. giving us all the required records... Dr tells her to go to pharmacy and lab for records but pharmacy and lab tell her to see her Dr. for english forms. We got everything in Thai but we are told it must be in english. We have a print out that Bumrungrad sent us from CDC/embassy requiring records from treatment from the hospital Dr that treated her.

Next week we will see her Dr. again and try to explain but he has been very dificult to deal with and had my wife escorted out of his office last visit.

Is there any suggestions where we can go if this Dr is not helpfull??? like DDC (department of diesise control) or ministry of Health??? It just seems that her Dr is not giving her the care that is needed perhaps because she used her Social Security????

Why such complications? Just take your wife back with you to the States. Nowhere else do I hear of people returning to their home countries without their partner.

Thats the plan that is in motion sir. Her us visa is time sensitive. I don't want to put money in this country. We are selling not adding.

I don't want 365 days to stay here I want 60 more days to get the hell out of here.

    There is no complications.

You could get a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage to a That at the consulates in Savannakhet or Ho Chi Minh City with no financial proof. It requires leaving every 90 days for a new entry but you can apply for a 60 day extension for each entry.

Rhe only alternative is to apply for a one time 60 day extension (1,900 baht) to visit your wife. No financials needed.

Can I do this 60 day exstension instead of the 365 day and not have to worry about 400,000 in account or 40,000 deposited each month? Is there a special form or just use tm7 and put 60 days?

What about all the other requirements like photo of us at address and in rooms...  Marriage kor2 etc

  7. I have a Bangkok Bank Be 1st ATM debit master card with no name on it. I will be moving back to the US. Can I use my atm in a US atm?

I ask because my landlord will deposit my Security deposit in my thai bank account 10-15 days after I moved out.

I would like to use the atm machine in USA to retrieve my money afterwards I won't need my thai bank account anymore.

  8. This Jan. I will be doing 40,000 baht every month for my exstension at Chiagwatana. I will have a bank statement showing 12 deposits. With a Non-o baised on marriage I will get a 30 day under consideration stamp. After the 30 days do I have to show another deposit to get the extension stamp?

I ask because last year I was asked for my bank book but told them I did with embassy letter. So they didn't need it.

This year no embassy letter so have been depositing money. This Feb. I would rather wait to deposit 40,000bht unless I have to because my wife and I will move to the US.

I too had a rejection on Friday. No problem with previous 90 day reports. Still well within my reporting period I think about 12 more days to go. No reason given and all my details appear correct.

I went to Changwatana and did mine in person. after completing I asked why rejected. they sent me to the que counter. to the right they have staff and computer. I showed my passport and logged to extranet to show my history of 90 day report. the staff loged into their system and it was blank. she said they updated their system. and the 2 systems arent linked. I asked if my new 90day will allow me to do next time online. she didn't know. so I will see in 3 months if I can use the online system. if I can't she informed me that I have 2 choices. 1 do in person everytime. 2 re-enter so tm6 and passport are recorded in their system.

hopefully it will work online next time.

But I'm sure if you go and ask you will be given a different anwser.

  10. Tried to do my 90 day online and was rejected. I have been using the online for a long time. Always aproved.

My tm30 is up to date. My window of 15 7 days aply. I don't know why it was rejected. It went normal with report pending then got email with rejection notice.

It's been so long since I did in person. What do I need for chang watana? Tm47 and passport?

The letter is to confirm it is your account and is still valid not the balance in your case.

No need for it to be same day at most offices.

I showed one from the day before along with a one month statement to show my most recent transfer since my one year statement was done weeks before it was credited when I did my extension in August.

In july I got a bank statement for 6 months feb-July then next January I will get the remaining 6 month balance aug-Jan.

Would this be ok? It will still show 1 deposit every month for 12 months accompanied by the bank letter snowing the account is still active.

I did this last July for the 6 months because Bangkok bank can make the statement same day for 100bht

  12. I have a question about the I-130 form...

In the I-130 beneficiary info part 4 entry info we anwsered yes on question 45 "have you ever entered the US?"
We went to USA 3 years ago for 10 days to meet my family. Then came back to Thailand. I don't answer 46a-d because we came back to Thailand so I put N/A.
On 47-50 "passport number" do I enter her new passport number
    Or
The passport she used 3 years ago that has expired?

The expired passport also has her tourist visa in it good for 6 more years

Yes; the offices are open. In fact, from my 20 years experience in dealing with them, they are more efficient than ever.

You will probably need to make appointments for the both of you. They don't do walk-ins.

Since you are just starting the process, the best advice I can give you is to save copies of all paperwork you submit. You will probably be asked for it a few times throughout the process.

    Thank you for your advice.

I read on the website that copies of original documents like thai marrage certificate and registration are copies I presume black and white??? But translations need to be original with stamp and signature from company. Is that right?

DCF = Direct Consular Filing. I forget now what the minimum residency in Thailand has to be, since I lived in Thailand full time, but it allows you as the petitioner to file the I-130 at USCIS in Bangkok, rather than in the US. That's the part that saves time, a lot

I live in Thailand bangkok for the past 5+ years married to my thai wife for the 5 years. We are looking into a k1 visa too. Also were thinking about a lawyer.
