No, Beer Lao is incredibly dangerous. Take them out of your fridge and give them to me. I will make sure they are disposed of properly.

People warned to be aware of six summer diseases

BANGKOK: -- People should be aware of six diseases during this summer season, particularly during the Songkran festival next week, Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin warned here on Monday.

I went with the gf to the hospital 3 months ago, so she could get some treatment. And my Thai isnt good, but im sure the doctor asked who was paying, which was obviously me.

PRICE: 2'200 baht.

A few days ago she toddles off for exactly the same treatment, but this time alone.

Interesting "suicide" article in yesterday's Pattaya Today.

They reckon the suicide rate for farangs in Pattaya has doubled from 1 per month to 2 per month.

They also reckon that the Asia/Pacific region has the highest suiced rate in the world, with Thailand right up there near the top. Suicide is the highest cause of death amongst 20 - 35 year olds.

A police man crashed into me once on his motor bike in Hua Hin, they told me to goto the straight to the police station which I did via the tourist police booth

Although none of the other officers which were nearby during the accident actually said that he had pulled out infront of me (which they obviously saw, as he was pulling accross the road to speak to them), they didn't give false statements saying it was my fault either. Though the police man involved tried blaming me. I argued for 15 minutes but realised that I was wasting my time, the toruist police guy basically told me to sign this statement written in Thai, pay up, and I would be out of the door in 5 minutes.

Im not really sure what happened in the end, if it was recorded as my fault or not. But I had to give him 5'000 baht for a new uniform and a few days off work, as he was bust up pretty bad and his uniform was ripped to shreds

From what I remember, he was wanting 15'000. But when I started talking about calling my (imaginary) friend @ the UK Embassy they all got a bit worried, and asked how much I would like to pay, to which the tourist police guy suggested 5'000.
