  1. No......from personal experience at Jomtien. I ignored the 3 month appointment (I had a piece of paper with the appointment on). I did, of course, make sure that 800k remained intact for those 3 months. Absolutely no issues when it came to do myextension.
  2. ...and you feel the need to ask this question on an anonymous internet forum........................now you will have all dental experts coming out and giving you conflicting advice. It is up to you; if YOU want the work done go and have done - if not, get on with your life until you suffer pain from the teeth. The smart thing to do is go and speak to a dentist..............
  3. OK...it is relevant. I went on Friday to refresh my TM30 receipt. There is a recent change at Jomtien as reported in the Pattaya Mail. The article is in another thread in this section. Now, if you are doing 'any business' with Jomtien your TM30 needs to be current ie dated after your most recent arrival into the country. Any business includes 90 day reporting, certificate of address, re-entry permit and extensions. My situation is not identical to yours but I wanted to be up to date so I got my 'housekeeper (resort manager) to resubmit a TM30 online. He did that and also spoke to Jomtien Immigration who said that I would need to take a copy of the TM30 to Immigration and get a new TM30 receipt. I did that last Friday and it took about 40 minutes. Yes, Jomtien is busy but they do have improved systems. Now, you go into the air-conned building on the left to announce your business and get a numbered ticket; for TM30's it is desk 10 in the building almost opposite (you can sit and wait and the first building or go over to where desk 10 is). The queue numbers come up on a screen. Iwas 10A244 and 10A206 was being dealt with....I thought with 38 people before me it would take hours....it didn't. I think the secret is to chill out before you get there and buy into the fact that they know what they are doing. People watching is interesting because many people are clueless and only add to the scene of apparent confusion..it's OK. I found the staff courteous both at reception and desk 10, they were only surprised that I wasn't conducting other business besides getting a new receipt. Note: Desk 10 is very busy because nearly everybody has to do the TM30 report before anything else ie extensions - I saw loads of Russians having to do that.
  4. I don't share your negative view. I thought the clip was lively, watchable and a good reflection of what it was trying to depict. Nothing bad to say here.
  5. Which Immigration office do you deal with.
  6. Because he likes to do stupid things like that. I can't decide whether to put him on my ignore list - because he is wrong SO many times, or keep him live for the entertainment value.
  7. It also means you have to take your wife to Immigration - which is not necessarily a good combination. Some expats think that they need their wives to hold their hand - even with a retirement extension.
  8. You are OK with CM Immigration.. This thread was started about the Jomtien office and specifically about a local newspaper report that you now needed a 'current TM30 receipt' if you were doing any business with Immigration (ie 90 day report, re-entry permit etc). By current they mean dated AFTER your most recent entry into the country. That was never necessary before if you were returning to the same address.
  9. Do you post this cr4p just for the sake of trolling?
  10. In Siem Reap ? I have never experienced any noticeable pollution in 30+ visits, at various times of the year. February should be OK; it starts to get warmer and more humid in March -usually a degree or so higher than neighbouring Surin and Buriram provinces. The last time I was there in August 2022 it was obvious that the Covid recovery was taking time - it was a pleasure nor having hoards around when visiting Angkor Wat. Just go for it - any possible pollution can be mitigated by glasses of Angkor beer @ 50c in and around Pub Street. 23 years is a long gap, things will have changed.
  11. You are talking about the bloke who thinks that the 'agent route' will soon no longer exist. You would have to be a retarded idiot to believe that "Immigration" will slaughter that particular golden goose.
  12. It's a meteorological reference......................😉
  13. It is now 2023 so it isn't.......I think we can probably agree on that.....
  14. He obviously watched Philadelphia and based his bigotry on that.
  15. Blimey, perhaps it was to be expected, this thread is attracting more than the usual share of retards.
  16. What a pathetic judgemental comment.
  17. There isn't a decent politician in the country.
  18. I was/am a fan. I enjoyed the new song, in a light sort of way.. I also enjoyed the film Yesterday.
  19. No....you need to lose the chip on your shoulder. ....and your paranoia. You seem to know a lot about yellow shirty things for someone who has only been around for 17 posts..................................or have you? 😀
  20. You do understand that you are going to need to lose that chip on your shoulder at some point.
  21. I do even better. I keep the 800k and earn a return on that; I also show monthly income to satisfy Immigration on the extension application - and I don't pay 16,000 Baht to an agent.
  22. To satisfy Jomtien you have to evidence 12 x 65k transfers because that was the basis of approval of your LAST extension. For the new application the 2 month seasoning rule would additionally apply. I would be inclined to ask the local office (preferably a different I/O) if that would be appropriate in your case, for that office.
  23. I knew I has seen 3 months quoted somewhere - the Thai embassy London website:- You are recommended to apply for a visa at least 4-8 weeks before the travel date but do not submit your application more than 3 months before your departure date. https://london.thaiembassy.org/en/page/visa-general-information
  24. A friend's passport was just turned round in 8 days. Submitted Wednesday 25 October Back Friday 3rd November - 8 working days 🙂
