  1. As 'marcusarelus" wrote, the most advantages in Nespresso system or similar coffee brewing system, is the time saving, then of course we can like or dislike this procedure, but at the end a "perfect espresso" is not even close to a Nespresso or other similar coffee brewing system, but overall we all have different taste and different life style so we must to adapt even the simple things, as a cup of coffee, to match with our necessity.

Anyway i never ever drunk a Nespresso so i can't say if i like it or not.

  3. I'm searching for a trolley as in attachment, i went to Makro in Narathiwas but...no have... i asked in the mostly shops in Phra Kahong and Rama 4 area but i only found a model with plastic wheels, i prefer the metal wheels with hard rubber surface.

I could try to Homepro or Ikea but before to running for nothing, if anybody has a clue where to find it will be helpful.

    Thanks for any suggestion

  4. We have one. Wife bought it at Robinson Department Store in Chiang Mai. I'm sure they'd have them in BKK as well.

All automatic and does an excellent job.

Hi Torrens54, do you add some sweetener or extra flavor, or do you use only soy beans?

    Thanks.

  5. Well, whatever brand of Vietnamese coffee you get, make sure that it is very finely ground. Many Vietnamese/Chinese stores in Little Saigon (Westminster, CA) sell Vietnamese/French coffee with chicory. That is my favorite. Perhaps the most famous and expensive of the Vietnamese coffees is Cafe Cut Chon. It's hard to find but very good. It must be thoroughly washed, of course. I would appreciate knowing the name of the VN coffee shop on Suk 13.

  6. I heard that mostly of Vietnamese roaster add to the beans cocoa butter, once in Saigon i tried many coffee shop and i frankly disagreed with the after taste i got, too unnaturally sweet, just my personal opinion.

There is a shop in Sukhumvit 13 inside a small shopping mall which sale Vietnamese coffee.

And yes, the best way to drink it is brewing it by a dripper not by a coffee machine.

  7. If the problem is about caffeine, just change you brewing method.

Making espresso and than adding hot water will reduce the caffeine in your cup.

A black coffee or a filter coffee contain more caffeine than an espresso due to the infusion time is longer.

Every person has different reaction to the caffeine, personally i can drink an espresso 2 hours before go to sleep without problem, but i can't  drink a coke, this will make me still awake.

I read many things about coffee, some are positive some are negative, maybe the truth is in the middle.

Last year i had a period where i drank  10/15 espressos a day, it's was too much and i had some blood pressure issue, once back to a regular 4/5 espressos a day i back to the normal.

I read  that the coffee stimulate the digestion so it's better drink it with filled stomach or you could develop some stomach ill, even in this case depend by person, anyway i'm not a doctor.

  8. Hi,

Maybe i did something wrong in some part of the process and at moment i'm stuck, could you help me?

    Not urgent.

    Thank you.

  9. Hi, my previous post was referred to a post of a member which was mentioning about boilers, so i guessed he was meaning about a descaling, i apologize if i create confusion but due to the title of the OT i thought i could even speak not only about "where to buy cleaning tablets with reasonable price".wink.png

The companies in Thailand which could sale such as tablets are Boncafe', Aroma, Coffeeworks these are just some that could be even in your living area.

We don't sale this product due to our fully auto has different features but anyway we use a cleaning product as well not any "alternative".

  10. first of all i suggest to avoid vinegar, it's an aggressive agent for all rubber parts such as o-ring, viton, and gasket, so maybe you can save money in the descaling product but you will face costs due to a rapid deterioration of the above mentioned parts and there is the risk to drink coffee with vinegar smell.

I even don’t believe in “surrogate” descaling products, I had no prove they can achieving the result.

Just for issue a name I can say Dezcal by Urnex it’s a product available in Thailand and suitable for fully auto and semi auto machines home use.

By the way,due to different features of fully auto machines ( ex: a thermoblock instead of a boiler, copper pipes instead of teflon pipes ect ect ) I suggest to read the user’s manual before to descale your machine or contact your supplier.

If your fully auto has an auto descaling program just start it, if not ( I always prefer a manual process):

Follow the descaling product instruction for the proper dosage.

If the product is in powder, I suggest to dissolve it in warm water ( not more than 40 Celsius degrees) before to pour it in to water tank.

Start to brew water from the steam/hot water wand,( never trough the brewing group) about 100cc. ( depend even by the capacity volume of the thermoblock/boiler)

Than put the machine in idle on and wait 10 minutes to let the solution to work, repeat the process until the water tank will being emptied.

Wash the water tank with fresh water and refill it again only with fresh water than start the rinse process always trough the steam/hot water wand.

Don’t forget that the vibratory water pump ( usually installed in these machines) cannot run continuously for more than 1 minute, so run it with some pause to avoid overheat .

Limescale it’s more dangerous for machines equipped with boiler because the heater element it’s in direct contact with the water so the issue could be not only a reduced water flow rate but even a reduced temperature due to the surface of the heater element it’s “coated” by scale.

Honestly, using only bottled drinking water, the descaling should not be necessary, but for the peace of mind, somebody prefer to do it.

Another thing, don’t believe that dissolve/dilute descaling products in less water will speed the process, the risk it’s that instead to dissolve limescale ( if any) and let it pass trough the pipes, some solid particles of limescale dislodged during the fast process could choke the hydraulic path.

Take it easy and take the right time to do it.

For other machine models the process is similar but in some models is suggested to altenate the descaling process between the steam/hot water wand and the brewing group head.
