Thanks for stating the obvious. I'd still like know what happens to my visa after 3 months.
Paz answered this question and yes, it is normal to stamp "USED" on a single entry visa upon entry.

And that's probably because the police doesn't interfere.I travel through this junction regularly with both bike and car - never seen an accident and hardly ever held up for more than a minute or two at worst. It may seem a chaotic mess but most people seem to negotiate it ok.

As far as I heard the banners and signs were removed early morning and life went on ........ 2-ways.

Jim T is near Home Works next to Big C South Pattaya and I suppose there is one in Central Pattaya Beach too.

Try Unity Car Rent on the corner of South Pattaya Road and Soi Bongkot.

If the cleaner would have called the fire-fighters first, she may get the bill for calling them..........no........seriously............most people find it hard to take initiative; that's something with Thai culture.........until not very long ago, initiatives weren't highly appreciated.

Was there a few weeks ago and the beach was covered with chairs. Along the water there was trash floating everywhere. At the north end where the road takes a "Y" there was enough trash to fill three bags. I hope all of these venders loose their spaces as they don't care enough to get off of their lazy a$$es and pick up the trash that's around their space.
tt.........it's questionable whether the trash comes from the vendors along the beach.
I used to live right at the beach and EVERY morning, the city-workers came down to clear the trash, stakes from the fisheries and other crap.
As far as I can gather most of the trash comes from the island(s) nearby and the vessels waiting to be loaded or un-loaded at Laem Chabang.

Who says that Pjottr drowned?
Maybe he fell in the water and on his way down he smashed his head onto "Boom the Beach".
Anyway......sad enough and no reason at all to ban anything.......it's just a stupid accident.....as most accidents are.

It appears you can reduce your risk of trouble by up to 99.9% in Thailand by avoiding just two things:
1. bar girls/boys
2. alcohol.
and 3. beach booms.....and zebra-crossings........and motorbike-taxis......and buses........and traffic........and high-rise buildings......and song-taews............and police-checks.....and night-clubs............and.......and, but you're right........trouble is usually caused by drunken bar girls/boys.

Glory hole?
Really? My guess is the author does not understand the meaning of what he said.
Same for me.......I do understand the meaning of "glory hole" in the old-fashioned style and the newish sensual style, but what is a glory hole with regards to the hospitality branch?

Rubbish
Do you mean I am talking rubbish or that I was told rubbish?
Most probably the latter.
Rules in Thailand are made up in your presence.
If the immigration officer has a bad day or didn't sleep well or doesn't like your face he will come up with this kind of c_r_ap.

Honda Civic is Honda compact Car?

Please keep in mind that in the eyes of a Buddhist ending a life will be the start of another, better life.
Ending your life as a Buddhist is as dreadful as ending a life of any other religion, but knowing that your next life will be better is often a trigger.

For Thailand a "foreigner" is someone NOT being a Thai national; period!
Why do people climb on their horses as soon as they see "foreigner" displayed in the media?

Indeed, don't be bothered about change of address notifications.
Officially the landlord should report this, but I think that the first one who actually did it still has to be born.
As for car and motorbike documents: don't be bothered and if you insist of having them changed, take care of it with your annual tax-payment.
-
The rules haven't changed; the new boss of Phuket immigration is enforcing them more strictly.
In most cases a utility-bill with your name and home-address will do the job.

Using your home countries' DL should go along with an Intl DL and this combination can be used 90 days and as long as the Intl DL is valid.
However, if your home-countries' DL is in English it may be accepted.
Most important is your car-insurance; if they accept your home-countries' DL you're safe with regards to accidents. Worst case is a fine from the boys in brown of 400 baht for not carrying a Thai DL.
Personally, I never encountered any problems at police-checks carrying just my home-countries' DL.

Got to love " for some reason "
Even better question is why was not there an officer in the back with them ?
Too hot or too much common sense ?
Prisoners in that situation are handcuffed to an anchor point in the back of the pickup so normally they're not going anywhere, therefore there is no need for an officer to be in the bed of the vehicle. Why should an officer have to suffer the discomfort of travelling with the prisoners?
That the prisoners where able to slip their handcuffs on this occasion is what is not normal.
If a policeman turns criminals into prisoners, they have to suffer the consequences too. Otherwise life is too easy for them.

Must have been one of the almost 600 illegal railway-crossings in Thailand.
The train and driver didn't flee the scene.........but a train without brakes was found somewhat near Trat.

I just wonder what is written on the banner?
"This is a scamming baht-bus-driver!" ?

I'm not sure where the OP actually parked his bike, but the lock may have nothing to do with the odd-or-even parking days.
I think it's more a matter of side-walk marking.........yellow-white or red-white.
Sometimes you have to look twice to find out which color it is....if any.
The trick with the impounded bike is just a way of creating an income for the impound-people as well as the motorbike taxi people.
BTW.......parking a motorbike at or near TukCom is a real disaster...........around 10 a.m. (TukCom's opening-time) almost all parking-spots are occupied by TukCom-employees or at least who are working in TukCom. Let's hope that TukCom II has more parking-possibilities.
On a 90 day extension of Non-B Leaving job how long until I have to leave the country?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Indeed, if the school didn't start the application for a WP yet, you can stay until your visa (extension) runs out and that may give you just enough time to find another job.
As long as you're able to start a new WP application before your visa runs out, immigration might give you 1 or 3 months extensions waiting for your WP to be submitted.
So, you're just in a bit of s_h_it........not ankle-deep
