  1. A very good point. I've read on numerous occasions that folks use a friend's or relative's address with their banks whilst living abroad. This is contrary to all banks 'terms and conditions', which state that your registered address must be one that we can readily contact you. And could well preclude using 'mail forwarding services' as well.

Likewise with DWP. Most seem to get away with it, but getting caught out can have serious consequences. And it does happen.

There is, in fact an issue with putting a Thai 'phone number into NBS's website. You can put it in and think you've got it right. But if you go back and check again later, you may find that it has switched from +66XXXXXXXXX to 6666XXXXXXXXXX. I've raised this problem with them and they've got their techie geeks on the case.

Spotted that yesterday & havnt bothered to ‘edit’ it yet.

  2. If your NBS A/C is registered to an address in Thailand, they will send cards and a card reader to that address.
As to the verification code system, it is NOT yet in operation, as was stated in the opening page at login.
I received this information this morning when I logged into my NBS A/C. It states it is soon to be implemented but no date has been set.

I had debit cards, card readers sent to Thailand but NBS told me (about 3 years ago “) that no credit cards will be sent to Thailand (for security reasons?)

  3. A friend of mine bought a house with his wife 2 yrs ago with his money of course and since a foreigner's name cannot be on the title, the house & property it sits on legally belongs to her. I cautioned him about doing that and suggested he buy a condo in his name, but he succumbed to his wife's wishes and bought the house. Well, now they are getting a divorce and the house and property is hers. He lost his money and has to start over. Feel sorry for him, but he knew the risk. Probably a common occurrence here. Just a cautionary story for newbies.

In court the starting point in negotiations is a 50/50 split, assuming there are no kids.

  4. Yes, on occasion people get them. Facial tattoos are not for the feint hearted. I guess if someone came to the studio with no tattoos and their first choice was a huge facial tattoo we would probably turn them away and suggest getting used to tattoos on other body parts. Tattoo lovers that would like to add to their collection with a facial tattoo is easier to help.

I think some facial tattoos look fantastic and some look terrible, but, that goes for tattoos on other body parts as well.

Great if you want to limit your availability for prospective jobs.

  5.
From what I understand you need the other parents consent to take the children out of the country. A friend married a thai lady many years ago and she had a son with a thai man already. But she got him to sign over the custody rights fully to herself so he was not party to the decision to take the child out of Thailand. Now sometimes the other parent will refuse unless they get some money (if they know/understand there is a farang involved).

You should definitely look up what is needed to take the children out of Thailand before doing so, as you might end up with a kidnapping charge.

Seems unlikely to succeed as they are not legally married.

  6. Can you specify -

    LOL man you so wrong

I am no English speaking native - so maybe I should have written

    " --- SHE --- decided to take a break ........

She lost mostly my money over the 10 years she plays High Low -
she lost now her money in last years - having house and land papers in the Bank
and took money from Private people and loan sharks

What could I do against it - if I did not want to leave her - ?

I would be the last man who let my loved woman go and sale her Pussy wherever and to whom ever but what can I do if she sees that her as her only chance to get out of her debts and away from the local day by day Gambling table - I cannot decide for her - I have not the funds anymore - she only accepts cash to decide her doing and maybe now some or more feelings for the young lover - who came back today to my knowledge.

Alfredo, I was in a similar situation as you, about 10 years ago but no kids (luckily).
I assume you are not legally married to the ‘gambler’ so you will not be legally liable for her gambling debts. That is very lucky for you, as if you were, I think you would be also chased by loan-sharks/mafia.

I hope you move away for this lady and start your life again. If you don’t move too far, you can still meet the kids, as & when convenient.
