Having lived in the area that you mention, I'd have to remind you of the phrase "Don't <deleted> on your own door-step'. Keep your social life far away from your professional life is my recommendation. There are many placesthat are a short scooter ride away.

Following on from "Long Way Around" and "Long Way Down"

The older, and less fit these days, duo of Ewen McGregor and Charlie Boorman are on their bikes again travelling from Ushuaia to L.A. 

They are on prototype Harley Davidson electric bikes, and in the couple of episodes I've watched are having huge problems with range and recharging of these machines. 

May be of interest for some.

Is it true that they are using diesel generators to charge their electric HD's? 555 

I would very much doubt it, as much larger cities around that general area are void of them

Speed 3 has been demolished. Have you tried the Saumpaa resort? Been to a few events there, in the past. Coming from town, Its before the x-roads with the ring road, on your left/opposite a building/DIY shop. 

Chatting to my local Honda dealer today - he'd just been to the Dealer's launch of the Honda ADV 150.  Should be in shops starting 28th - red, black and brown colors, ABS front and rear.
 
He mentioned that the seat is quite high compared to the PCX - which is good news for us.
