  1. It’s ok to change agents It’s no issue. The agent you speak of went to 20k from 14k in one year so I know a few who switched to Pattaya. Living in Bangkok it’s not such a big issue, but now with the price at 18k it’s more of a draw. At 20k, yes use another method. If you can get cheaper why not? Just be aware of the drawbacks. Some other agents were charging even more than 20k. The agent route may not always be available but I understand it makes it so much easier even if you have the cash, 90 day reports, etc. we see criticism from those who don’t use agents agonist those that do. Do what works for you, of course doing it yourself is best but some may have reasons for not doing it. I get so bored reading theses forums and seeing people getting attached for something rather then people being helpful
  2. What agent is better Maneerat or vip visa? Looking to do retirement extension. Both are the same price. I will use mid July
  3. Thanks, I know about that one already
  4. I have had several friends ask me about visa Agents in Bangkok. Are there any agents besides Thai Visa Service? I know Pattaya has several that make it a breeze but Bangkok seems lacking. Some suggestions would be appreciated
  5. It was 20 years ago not 2
  6. I don’t have a favorite. Several years ago I did open an account with KrungSi. My newest account that i opened here. I opened it back when BKKbank stoped issuing Visa and Mastercard debit cards and went with that Chinese payment processor. It was so annoying, even Starbucks wouldn’t accept it. Now BKKbank has went back to Mastercard so I am using it, never use the Krungsi one lately but they do seem more service oriented compared to the other, if they issued me a credit card without a deposit I would do more business with them. KBank I have used for years and tend to keep money that I don’t need I have had a credit card through them for more than 12 years. My spending money I keep in bkk bank like others say it depends on your branch but I do agree Krungsi over the last several years has been known to be more foreigner friendly
  7. If your passport is up to date with the bank then you can go to any branch. If you have obtained a new passport for whatever reason then you must go to the branch you opened the account. I just went through this tears ago. In the past they didn’t really care and they still had passport on file from 2 years ago when I opened the account. Sometimes they may have unreasonable demlime seeing that old passport from 20 years ago….if your passport matches what they have on file go to any branch.
  8. Thanks. I typed the name wrong it is Revolut. I am thinking to give Revolut a try. I have never had any issues with wise but they don’t ship debit cards to Thailand. One thing is Revolut has not ask for my passport information or anything, besides SS number, this is worrying to me as I am afraid they will do it in the middle of a transaction and hold things up. Actually my Fevoult debit card has just arrived today, I do like the app and how it is linked to my checking account but it working and being hassle free is the most important. Price seems similar but WISE wins from my research….
  9. I have been using WISE to transfer money from the United States to Thailand for years without any issues. I normally receive the money in my Bangkok Bank instantly. Would Revolt be the same? I am thinking about trying Revolt but wanted to find out others experience The debit card seems a lot more flexible then WISE and it looks like Revolt will send the debit card to Thailand but WISE won’t. it would be great to hear other s experiences
  10. Someone has been watching way to much FOX news
  11. Thanks. Sounds like best to wait until prices for routers that have more then one 2.5 gigabit connections to drop I was thinking about 1.5 gigabit but maybe betting to get 1,000 mps up and down and start to update some LAN cables, etc. my deco x90 preforms well but not as good as I had hoped, mostly from the one node speeds decrease a lot. I can find the perfect spot then speeds in other areas decrease. Lots of 2.4 and 5 ghz traffic in my area, certainly wireing the 2 together would help…..
  12. Yes not sure why I keep doing that and I am not able to go back and edit
