  1. The number of pro Trump protesters would "fill a sedan" one reporter said Not one family member as shown up in court for the trial. Not one. One analyst remarked "Jeffrey Dahmer's (the cannibal) parents came every day when he was on trial.". Niece Mary Trump remarked everything in that family is transactional, and there is nothing in Donald's trial that is seen as worth attending
  2. The FART team collects evidence, gets it together, and passes it to the Special House Investigative Team (the ones have this team for brains) who bring it to the house floor and leave it there, preferably in a flaming bag
  3. Rule number one from biz school being ignored: "Don't throw good money after bad"
  4. Maybe they should start an international "health hub campaign" with Thaksin as their celeb spokesperson...
  5. "....concerns are growing that loopholes in Thailand’s hazardous waste controls could be fatal.".... but not to the wealthy owners who rake in the profits. Just the unprotected ignorant workers
  6. Maybe she recently viewed The Princess Bride bit with Max the miracle man?
  7. Maybe in honor of Orwell they rebrand it as "Ministry of Truth.... Social" or anti social...
  8. Good indicator of how pathetic trump fans are that they go after an inconsequential non story to try to make some false equivalence to their personal savior who told >30,000 documented lies during office... who knows how many since then? And his latest lie (misquote from Fox): “’They are catching undercover Liberal Activists lying to the Judge in order to get on the Trump Jury," NO evidence, pure lie, misquote of Fox shill, so can't even use that... plus Mr Law and Order has violated gag order intending to subvert jury trial
  9. So there is no historical site/building preservation laws (with tax breaks) to keep this place as it is? looks pretty nice to me. Not a "shed"... and being of wood, doesn't perform like a pizza oven concrete eyesore they build these days
  10. Laws here are about as functional as fins on 1950's Cadillacs.
  11. If authorities (sometimes called "police") did something resembling their jobs, these things would not happen: vendors would have specific sites for each and would be enforced by an honest police. I know, never gonna happen
  12. Here is BBC report, perhaps a tad more neutral than a US news source. Ah, "executive time"... hahahaTrump daily schedule when President
  13. What are the hours the court is in session? remember seeing his schedule while in the White House included late rising, puttering about with Fox on in background, long lunch... basically hours of a retired man with few hobbies or interests To expect him to stay awake, even get up in the morning, is more than "Sleepy Don" can handle
  14. The photo appears to be from a celebration of Holi, a Hindu festival. It already has plenty of "renown" and not so much in Thailand. Try India. duh
  15. Bangkok battles hazardous levels of PM2.5 dust Battles? What battles? I've never seen any battles. Like ants chewing on elephant's foot. As far as battling pollution, I'd say Thai government et al take a pacifist "wait and see" or "thoughts and prayers" strategy
  16. Me too. I wonder where all the unsold shirts disappear to.... here today gone tomorrow. I'd be willing to buy even more if they give me a little discount...
  17. You think it is fine to invade, take over, block government from doing it's Constitutional duty if no one goes to the hospital? Really? Old Sufi saying "The best answer to a fool is silence" and that is what you will be getting from me. Can't fix stupid
  18. that is some strange reasoning: please explain. How do you define homosexual, other than by behavior? Tastes in shoes? decorating? www.humandignitytrust.org/lgbt-the-law/map-of-criminalisation/?embed=true" frameborder="0"></iframe> This is good world resource: can click on continent & country and shows the laws. I randomly hit Brunei, little Asian country: Criminalisation: Criminalises LGBT people Criminalises sexual activity between males Criminalises sexual activity between females Criminalises the gender expression of trans people Imposes the death penalty or maybe a trip next door to Myanmar: Criminalisation: Criminalises LGBT people Criminalises sexual activity between males Criminalises the gender expression of trans people Maximum punishment: Ten years imprisonment I'm not gay, but reckon what adults do with consent to each other is none of the governments damn business The web site of laws https://www.humandignitytrust.org/lgbt-the-law/map-of-criminalisation/
  19. Looks like the men in the photo are almost wearing burkas... I'm amazed they allow any music at all
  20. He's lying. Has a long, deep track record of lying. He bragged about being the one who got Roe reversed thru his packing SCOTUS. Like any used car salesman grifter, he will say whatever it takes to close the deal.
  21. They were locals, not tourists, so no need for police to do anything. Besides, teens had a gun! Cops might get shot!
  22. If your idea of broomsticks had any validity, the morons that invaded the capitol could have easily beat the charges. They also had gallows to hang the vice president, but hey, that's just some wood and rope.... and they did chant "Hang Mike Pence" and Trump encouraged them. But back to simple basics: they had absolutely no right to interfere with the Constitutionally mandated provisions for election of president. Tens of millions of people voted. Some for Trump, more for Biden & Biden had more electoral votes, FULL STOP. Those morons who tried to stop the count did not pick that day at random. Their intent was to negate ALL of our votes: those who voted for either Trump or Biden. Insipid to say it is some "phony leftist narrative": "ah heck, they was just funnin'.... they weren't there to kill Pence, Pelosi, et al... they jus wanted to be heard". here are some facts about weapons, but even if unarmed they had no right to interfere with Congress doing it's duty "US Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell told Kinzinger that “(c)ommon things were used as weapons, like a baseball bat, a hockey stick, a rebar, a flagpole – including the American flag – pepper spray, bear spray.”The rioters “had all these items,” Gonell said, “used to attack us. Those are weapons.” As CNN has reported, rioters also used knives, stolen police shields, a stun gun, fire extinguisher and more. Hand-to-hand combat led to more than a dozen officers being sent to the hospital, some of whom had bone fractures and concussions." " According to police testimony, Christopher Alberts was arrested leaving the Capitol grounds on January 6 while trying to flee from officers after they suspected he was carrying a firearm on his hip. Alberts was carrying a loaded pistol and 25 rounds of ammunition, according to court documents. Guy Reffitt has been charged with illegally bringing a handgun on Capitol grounds on January 6. Reffitt allegedly told family members he “brought his gun with him” in the Capitol attack. Mark Ibrahim, who at the time was an off-duty special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration, has been charged with bringing his service weapon on Capitol grounds during the insurrection as well as lying to the FBI about why he was at the Capitol. Another individual, Cleveland Meredith Jr., is accused of possessing a pistol and rifle without “a registration for any firearm in Washington, DC,” which were recovered by the FBI a day after the insurrection. According to an officer statement, the individual arrived too late for the Capitol riot and talked about killing Pelosi in a text conversation." https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/28/politics/armed-insurrection-january-6-guns-fact-check/index.html "Jerod Thomas Bargar, 37, of Centralia, MO., was sentenced to five years probation, six months of home confinement, and ordered to pay a $4,000 fine by U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton. Bargar pleaded guilty to one felony count of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, a felony, on June 8, 2023. According to court documents, Bargar traveled to Washington, D.C., by car with a friend to participate in the "Stop the Steal" rally planned by former President Donald Trump for January 6, 2021. After the rally, Bargar and his friend walked to the U.S. Capitol building, entered onto the restricted Capitol grounds, and participated in the ongoing riot." https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/missouri-man-sentenced-felony-weapons-charge-actions-during-jan-6-capitol-breach much more broad report, if you need more https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN29J2V8/
  23. Trans should be allowed to participate in sports IF it is among those with the same sex at birth origin. Man gets clipped and called a woman... fine, but part of the deal is you're not going to compete against natural born women. Have to give some things up when you make those decisions.Like using a urinal, or short lines at restrooms at a concert. At least you won't have to worry about getting kicked in the nuts....
  24. New on the books for Uganda, so none executed yet. For executions, check out Iran, Taliban, ISIS was notorious for this. Favorite it dropping a wall on them. So maybe you might want to widen your scope so "as far as I know" includes at least a cursory search for facts. Just sayin'
