    I'm no fan of pedophiles, but I am of due process If Germany has no extradition treaty with Thailand, what was Jens arrested for in Germany? Unless it was for a German crime done on German soil it is a huge violation of basic civil rights if cops can just snatch you off the street in order to talk with foreign cops who have no jurisdiction or legal way to get you into their jurisdiction.

    I used to like to buy some of the fakes that used the same font and a similar name to fool and/or get around laws: "The Mouth Face" for "The North Face"; all sorts of variations on Panasonic; take font and letters for Addidas and scramble them up... I've had copies that are at least equal to quality of "name brand" and some even better. Anything to do with "Intellectual" here is not all that valued IMO

    Let us not overlook the fact that free visas result in less revenue for the government in the "here and now". Would "the wrong lung...er ... long run" factor in the filling of that hole of incoming revenue in the meantime? And how could they calculate the free visas were the deciding factor in Chinese tourist plans? Sounds like more numbers just pulled out of some figure producing orifice

    Maybe the royal family could clear things up by pointing out they dislike anyone, regardless of race, who has lower status than they do. In other words, everyone. I do recall case in US where man was charged with racial discrimination and he got off on defense that he hates everyone

    drat... vid not available. But good try. Police didn't explain much other than the bribe was only half a million. Standard procedure worldwide is to keep the suspects passport so can't do a runner.... or is it just my cynical mind that thinks "that's what the courts & cops want to happen"?

    In my best valley girl speak "Well, yeah, duh, for sure..." On first glance at headline, I thought it read "Meth designed platforms to get children addicted" I would rather be in a "shooting gallery" full of heroin addicts than a roomful of teens swiping about on social media... more chance of having real social contact. Easier to kick that junky habit too

    Need an easy to access eyeroll response emoji.... how about a job well done (aka "law enforcement") would be thanks enough for coming to visit for most tourists I would imagine. These stunts (like that mass of cops the other day) seem to underscore how woefully clueless and inept the BIB here in sin city truly are
