Stay in Jomtien and go to Koh Larm for the day trips. It is only a 20B ferry each way. Koh Larn did have small guesthouses and hotels that I saw near the ferry, which looked good, but nothing to do there overnight I think anyway. So, there is every reason to go back to the mainland.

I bought lifetime at California Wow a year ago and couldn't be happier with it (100B annual fee). The club in Bangkok at Asoke is my favorite. I'm disappointed the Pattaya club doesn't have a sauna and steam.

Boarded a full songtaew with girlfriend in tow today on Beach Road near soi 2 today.

We got to about soi 5 and the driver stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and got out and started ranting and raving to an elderly tourist in the back how he had to get out now.

The mans crime was to have gotten on the songtaew at Walking St and he was still on board around soi 5. The driver indicated that this was not allowed.

Why pay if the driver wants him out? I'm easy going and have no problem catching another baht bus, but I'm certainly not going to pay for the ride -- I'm not a sucker. Never had a problem at all in these situations. And the driver never bothers me to pay either.

Each condo meter for View Talay 1 is located in a room near the elevators on each floor. You need to go downstairs and have the security or office staff unlock the door. They will stay there with you and lock the door again when you are finished looking at your meter.

No, 5B per unit is not the normal rate for condos. However, some cheap condo managers (not usually) make a scam and decide what they want to charge per unit for electricity. But your electricity should be billed to you directly from the gov't electrical company, closer to 2.5B to 3.5B per unit.

Agree as above, there is no need for a lawyer. The owner needs to obtain the document to sell from the condo manager, and you need to bring the check and foreign funds transfer document to the land office. Usually the owner brings the chanot to the land office, and it is updated with you as the new owner. You should receive the chanot upon leaving the land office.

OP: If your girl is "Hi-So", I don't see why this salesman can be confused and ask her which bar she works in. If she was "Hi-So", then it would be difficult to confuse that, since "Hi-So" ladies try hard to differentiate themselves from low class ladies, especially those that would work in a bar.
