Foreign percent opening up in condos once it fills up is extremely rare, however it can happen.

Actually I'm not as impressed with the Silom (Pat Pong) club either. It was the first club opened, and so the newer clubs (10 total now) seem to be better designed.

I am very impressed with my California Wow fitness membership. I love the place. I haven't seen the inside of the Pattaya club yet, but I'm impressed with the Bangkok clubs, especially the club at Asok. I was a little worried about the loud music at first, but quickly found it got me moving more and working out longer. This club is big on cardio, so the music seems to fit well. The music keeps me in the mood to push a little harder. If you're an old fogey who doesn't like this music, well then this is the first indication that this club is honestly just probably not for you. By the way, the music isn't as loud inside, but loudest at the front door it seems. Anyway, I'm a very pleased customer.

I'll stick with my Pan Pan pizza, which is good quality and at the right price.

I wouldn't pay more than 200B for a beach massage, and even then I don't do it. I think that's for the pure tourist. So, for a real massage go to Healthland, the TBMI, or some other reputable spot.

Any suggestions / recommendations? Not too far from the beach, but I realize that beggars can't be choosers, so somewhere back from the sea is okay too.

600 baht for somewhere " really posh " is stretching it a bit. Coming into high season soon.

I would agree the chances of getting somewhere "really posh" is very remote! The longer you are coming for the lower you might be able to get the price down! Best of luck!

don't know of any hostels around pattaya either. cheapest accommodation might be found around 3rd road and soi buakow. you really need to stay 1month to get the lowest prices.

I think you got it right. These reporters bagging Pattaya are so full of it. But anyway, it makes news and that is their job.

I just bought another condo in Jomtien. I still feel bullish on condos in Jomtien/Pattaya. People like Pattaya a lot, but Jomtien is where I expect to see the most growth in condos.

And I feel 23% sold on on Ocean 1 aint bad when they haven't even built the foundation yet.

That's what Pattaya is for... I have a feeling these things will come with the development of 2nd road. Right now Jomtien is still very undeveloped. It has a long way to go.

I'm looking forward to trying Castra one of these days when they open.

That's right never tell any official you are doing a visa run. They make up fees for you! I always say Siem Reap. Or at least say you are going to the casino! Also, I don't have any problem getting the $20 USD visa at the border. I just don't respond at all, just submit it. If I have to respond at all, I say that is my visa for $20. Eventually it appears! Or even show your previous visa stickers where it says $20 on the price of the visa.

Pattaya will be Pattaya... The girlie bars and walking street is why it exists. Pattaya upscale tourist population is not replacing the low level tourist population, but rather adding to it.

100% take them to the Lakeland Cable Ski lake on Sukhumvit around Soi Chayapruk. They will love it.

I would second looking at Lad Prao Road for a deal.

It's 10B anywhere you want to go on a shared baht bus. And Jomtien to/from Pattaya is 10B. You could pay more -- but why?

One thing: I believe 2nd road will link up to soi Watboon at the Anket Condo, near Majestic condo.

Are you asking about Jomtien 2nd road, or is this something else?
