You made a mistake when you tried to do the 90 day report at Samui. For several years now you can only do it at the immigration office where you are registered at unless you change your address to that office.

You should of mailed your report to CM or tried to do it online.

A TM30 report is only required now if you change your address or enter with a new visa.

90 day mistake. ok. and I did try to do it online...the last two periods when it was due I tried online and the dreaded "report to imm" was the response.  so beyond the 90 day, the Q is still the TM30 regulatory requirement to when updates/changes are required.  Have I "changed my address" by visiting another province for 2 months? If "no" where can I find something from immigration authorities that support this condition?

A TM30 is not required if away inter province from your normal residence.

It's not even required after international travel unless you obtain a new visa/visa exempt entry.

Would you have any regulation info to support this? I don't disagree but obviously Samui Imm doesn't see it that way nor says that there is any regulation that contravenes their position...

  3. I do appreciate the above comments, but the intent here is on whether an update to your TM30 registered address for staying elsewhere on a short term temporary basis is required.  My understanding of the TM30 domestic travel rules was based on other posts I had read, such as this one.

90 day reporting is not the issue in this post...thanks..

  4. I live in CM, at the same address for the last 10 years...always submit the 90 day notification on time and on the 2 occasions I left Thailand and returned, I updated the TM30 database which I have access to online.  I haven't left Thailand over 2 years now nor moved to any other address.

I went to Koh Samui in mid September on vacation, staying one month at Villa A and Villa B for the second and final month.  My 90 day report was due this week and so I dutifully went to Samui immigration to report.

The IO asserted I had not complied with the registering of my temporary address in Samui as required via a TM30 update notification.  This was a violation as their records showed that the owner/landlord had not registered my presence as well.  The Samui IO refuted the notion that I wasn't required to update my TM30 as I had not changed my permanent address in CM nor had newly entered Thailand from outside the country.

Ultimately I successfully completed the 90 day report process but Samui immigration has updated the TM30 database to reflect my rental address here in Samui so upon my return to CM next week I'll have to re-set their database to reflect my CM address.

Was I in error in not registering an updated address when I arrived in Samui?

When you got your first AZ-dose, you should have been given a date for the second dose together with an ID-number; didn't you get that?

I live in Chiang Mai.  Sure I got a date...for October...then the hospital moved up the date to September without giving notice...I came to vacation in Samui in mid September, intending to return for my 2nd shot in CM which I missed and the hospital refuses to re-schedule for me....

Thanks. I do understand that. But the property is empty.  If I was the "thief" I would be looking for the DVR and taking it away with me.  I'm sure the thieves know that this is the best way to get rid of the evidence.  So, if I do get a system with a DVR, can I set the DVR to upload immediately to a cloud, so that I still have a permanent record ?

Don't know the answer for that.....

  7. Koh Samui.  Looking for a dog sitter with a track record / references to care for my small dog for a day at the sitter’s home / facility. I tried using search in this forum but no hits on “pet” or “dog” etc.

    Any recommendations?

    Thank you….

Travel with both passports and show whichever one is required for the purpose at hand.  People do it all the time for immigration purposes so should be OK for proof of vaccine purposes too.

I would also carry a (translated?) copy of your marriage certificate to help link the documents.

Thank you- very helpful!!  In light of your response I can/would also query the respective embassy of the country we would travel to and ask their entry requirements based on these circumstances...

easy to just change her name and im not sure how shes buying a ticket using one name and a different passport

what makes you think that it is easy to change her name? On the hospital vaccination certificate?..And the air ticket is bought under the name of the ID she would use; i.e., travel to the US she would have the ticket issued in the name of her US passport details...

  10. My wife has dual Thai & US citizenship. She has had her two doses of Astra Zeneca under her Thai nationality and birth surname. We travel internationally using her US passport, which reflects her married surname, to avoid the visa process Thai citizens are subject to.
This results in not having a vaccination certificate associated with her US passport and would now be problematic to travel to the US and Europe.

Any suggestions to address this situation?

There is a mention at the bottom of this that says it doesn't apply to Samui or Ko Phangan...but apparently the police were out last night enforcing the no alcohol policy...to be clarified...

Are there any changes to the graphic "Arrival from Dark Red /Red & Orange Zones"?  My wife & I live in Chiang Mai.  She's had her 2 doses of Astra & I have had my first.  We wish to drive down to the ferry point and stay on Koh Samui for a month.

Coming from a current Red Zone, we will be driving through Dark Red Zone(s) & may even stay overnight in a hotel due to the long drive.  What Zone will authorities apply to our situation?

Ok, I know you would rather see an announcement that perfectly fits your needs. But that’s now how life works.

if you want a vaccine, this is how you get it.

As always, the question is do you want a vaccine, or moan about not getting one?

No, you have no basis is asserting that THIS website WILL RESULT in "how you get it".  When Eric TH asked the difference between the defunct Intervac registration website and this latest website your response was "I can’t answer that other than by saying that was the old website"...so history demonstrates- if you ever paid attention to the real world- registration sites do not guarantee one will ever get vaccinated...

    Hahahaha

You don’t “sell” people vaccines. What complete and utter rubbish

People are desperate to get any vaccine, Thais don’t think like paranoid Americans

You're demonstrating yet again how little you know about Thailand, it's systemic corruption and, most of all Thai people.  My wife is Thai and she won't accept Sinovac either and many of our Thai friends and family won't either.  All of us have worked hard to secure Astra Zeneca and have first shots...we've also reserved Moderna as well.  That's Thai people.
