  1. Perhaps....... in the vain of reconciliation, the spirit of working together and finally taking overall consideration of others into play, the esteemed court, could be so kind as to inquire as to when her importantness will be available and back in Thailand as to be able to be in attendance , and then the court would make the announcement at this much more convenient time.

After all we all know how much she would want to be in attendance.

I think just a nice re conciliatory type of gesture on the part of the court.

    1. The court should remain independant and it should be seen to be independant.

2, Given her track record, seems to me she will ensure she is abent on whatever date they hand down their verdict.

    3. Sorry can't agree at all that the court should be making 'reconciliatory' gestures. In fact IMHO 'reconciliation' as espoused by the pt, udd, reds etc is a smokscreen for whitewash of one man. In relaity what would get the wonderful country back on a healthy road it toal respect for the law and the processes of the law.

    He was joking.

    RE quote 2)

Absence seems to be the the family trait.. wasn't her brother also abroad when the court handed down his verdict ??

  2. Still no one has said what exactly the changes are that they want!

Why not come straight out and say what they want changed and what it will be changed to, then all people will know what all this is about.

    Dan

How can the ruling party come out now & say exactly what they want & what they are really trying to achieve by changing the constitution.

    I mean..

We want to change the constitution in any way possible so that we can overturn a verdict made by the elected court of the land so that a convicted criminal can be pardoned, return to Thailand, re-enter politics so that he can further advance his personal activities, line his huge pockets to an even greater degree with the countries wealth & take care of the poor by wiping a few crumbs off his families dinner table, but all done under the guise of "reconciliation"

That wouldn't really look good on the application form.

Only the gullible whose votes are so easily bought for a few Baht would swallow that ploy.. but then this is Thailand & common sense never prevails..

He who has the deepest pockets wins all the spoils of war!!

  3. Gambling is illegal in Thailand as is prostitution, however without these two major industries Thailand would probably lose half it's gross income.

As with most things Thai, a blind eye is always preferred to confrontation, especially when a nice little earner is made by all.

If all things illegal were rooted out & stopped what would happen to all our city centre entrepreneurs & beach resorts ??

  4. So Ex-Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has the loyalty of Pansak Vinyaratn & both have control of the strings attached to Yingluk.. tell us something we don't know!!

  5. Nice words from public Health Minister Witthaya Buranasirin, trying to show the world total transparency, but I can't imagine a Thai food health official or even less a local chicken farmer quickly volunteering information that they have an outbreak, it would destroy the chicken industry & Thailands so coveted reputation.

I think it would be a "spade job" in the corner of the farm & a "didn't see anything wrong officer" !!

As for any human ill-health, infection or death it would probably be very quickly identified as natural causes, which in Thailand could be one of hundreds.
