Can anyone tell me..
Early next month I have to make a a trip from Nakhon Pathom to BKK, I usually take a mini bus to arrive at Victory monument & then hop onto the BTS, on my return journey right below the Victory Monument BTS station is the "Central" building with ticket booths & mini-van parking on the left hand side
will this still be there or where will I have to go to pick-up my return mini-bus??

If it's brown & it smells... in my experience it's s**t!!!!

On it's it's own fertilisers are just that, fertiliser.
Some can be mixed & used for other purposes, that's when they become "illegal"
However in the CAA/FAA "world of aviation" fertilisers are considered "poisons" and are therefore a banned item.
Hand or hold luggage..
This should be picked up during X-ray screening & the bag pulled for checking.
It doesn't say where the bag actually was in the system, on it's way to hold baggage screening then they can be forgiven
on it's way to the aircraft "post screening" then questions should be asked!!

I know the coup-mongers will be all up in the air about this and play the holier-than-thou card, plus who the perps were is anybody's guess....However, even in well policed societies it is generally known by the criminal element, that messing with the police personally, is risky......Not that this is anywhere close, but someone who kills or injures a policeman better make tracks, and fast. Revenge may be slow in coming, but come it will....The Police are a fraternity of brothers in the end. You mess with one, you mess with them all.
That said, I wont stoop to the level of those who expressed a gleeful reaction to the shooting of UDD/RS leader Kwanchai, in the case of this tragedy.
Unless you have the good fortune to be the son/grandson of a very wealthy family which just happens to be the owners of Red Bull!!
Then you don't have to flee or watch your back..

Dialogue time was before but the door was firmly shut in their faces.

The 1st "jumper" I've seen reported this year.. it won't be the last!!
Seems a popular way to go??

Well, there is only one way.
Revamp the BiB and re-write the fines. I am dreaming but the following comes to mind:
Drunk driving at THB 5'000 in the first case; car stays put until a) fine is paid and driver is sober.
Second time THB 20'000; car stays put for two weeks and until fine is paid.
Third time same as second time but a mandatory jail term of a week.
Forth time - car gets impounded for a month and the fine is THB 50'000; two weeks jail.
All this is not rocket science but I guess it needs a death in each and every family having a drunk driving member until the message reaches home. How sad!
Sorry to dis-agree, I don't think this will work as it just isn't a strong enough message:
Should be something like this: (IMHO)
During designated holiday periods NO FINES!
#1 1st time automatic 6 months ban, car impounded for 6 months, insurance increased by 50%
#2 2nd time automatic 1 year ban, car impounded for 1 year, insurance increased 100%, re-apply for driving licence.
#3 3rd time automatic 2 year ban, 6 months in jail, car crushed, insurance increased 150%, re-apply for driving licence.
#4 4th time automatic 5 year ban, 2 years in jail, car crushed, insurance increased 200%, counselling for drink problem, re-apply for driving licence.
#5 5th time 5 year jail term and life time ban.
Outside of designated holiday period 1st offence= 20,000 baht fine then followed by the next highest penalty applies.
Should the offender drive while off the road then the next highest penalty automatically applies!!

Wow.. now we have the actual proof we've all been waiting for.. Thailand the Land of Smiles has really lost all grip on reality!!
Coming into the year 2014 with an abundance of worldwide technology & statistics available on vehicle or road safety measures, the best Thailand can offer can offer is:
Monks incantations to help reduce road traffic accidents,
Not a mention of improving driving skills before the issue of a driving licence, or the taking away of said licence due to poor driving ability, or even an increase in testing & maintenance of vehicles on the road!
This will send the right message all the way through to the Russian tour operator.. they can now send more tourists over in the happy knowledge that they will have all protection they need from the highest level & all come home again....
albeit in a body bag in the cargo hold!!

Actually kind of a relief to hear a Thai politician admit, she is worried about something!
Normally not part of the "Thainess-package"
Sometimes I almost feel sorry for her. She is clearly not a politician, not the sharpest knife in the drawer and was put in her present position by her lunatic brother.
I bet you, personally she wants to resign from politics, but are not allowed by the family??
Don't get sucked in by her so called fears.. she's going for the Sympathy vote!!
Her skin is as thick as her brothers & if she ever voiced that it was all getting too much Big Bro would trample her into the ground to make sure he got someone into her place that could do the job!!
Blood may be thicker than water but money speaks louder!!

He was probably confronted by a fan who happened to be one of the anti-government demonstrators. No doubt the whistle was given to him as a gift, a gesture, Anyone trying to make anything out of this is really stretching things to the limit...!!
When it comes to "stretching things" in Thailand there appears to be no limit!!
Merry Christmas to all "Posties"

Thailand doesn't have any real credible politicians on either side, well not enough to run a government anyway!
Whoever wins the day will rule the trough, greed & corruption is rampant in all parties, all businesses & all institutions.
It has kept Thailand where it has been for years & will keep it their for many more to come.
The education non-system will actually make sure that it will not improve with time either, as the un-educated will stay that way & the privileged will always win.
In fact any nation that thinks Thailand is a country worth investing in, other than a quick buck to be made then they need to look elsewhere.
Thailand has been on the slide for sometime & is now at an all time low, brought about by one corrupt family/government after another.
On a sure path to self destruction.. I for one am looking for another country to reside in..

i will not be surprise to learn that she was also raped as well
its a good remember to all of us, that in Thailand you are just allowed to spend your money... not allowed to win at the casino.
But in the other hand, they are allowed to scam you, rob you, beat you, trash you, rape you, murder you without consequences... welcome to Thailand
ps: since when the casino are allowed here?
Since the B.I.B take a cut & turn a blind eye to the operations.

If you're newly married or whatever just except it for now & enjoy the ride (pun intended) it will wear off in time and a few other "choice words" will take it's place..
Buffalo being the usual one, phonetic translation.. Qwai

Perhaps Thai immigration would like to drop the "90 day" rule.. as that's not reciprocal with what happens in my home country.
After 5 years of reporting that I still live at the same address & haven't been out of the country is getting a bit monotonous!!

"Our study shows the best way to tackle corruption at educational institutes is the inculcation of ethics and honesty," she said.
A similar study in the UK showed the best way to tackle corruption was instant dismissal !!
Seemed to send out the right message and have the desired effect..

Prison is too good for him, a bullet is too quick for him, an injection is too painless for him!!
Only one thing you can do for a "specimen" like this.
Put him in a room with the parents of all the girls he's kidnapped, raped & killed!
An hour later opologise for their lack of "emotional control" and hose out his remains into the gutter!
