  1. Just go to it on beach road pattaya, sit down, look and listen

You will then get an idea of what im on about.

    Mostly one nationality.

Long white socks, white trainers. Shorts way to short.

    Baseball cap.

    Ray bans.

Marlboro light, hanging out the corner of the gob.

Piss, winging and moaning about everything in pattaya and the cost of coffee.

Please go and report back with your findings.

    Thanks foxy.

Well last month I must have been in Starbucks at least 8 times. I use the one at the bottom of Beach Road. I enjoy the cafe latte as does my wife. Never heard any moaners and the smokers if any sit at the tables provided outside.

A mixture of nationalities and couples and not a long pair of white socks to be seen. :o

  2. We dont want a starbucks, in Jomtien.

or the type of people that hang out at starbucks.

    :o

......would you care to expand on that statement and tell us the type of people who you are talking about.?

    Not with you.

So you have no exciting revelations that could enlighten us as to the type of people that you referred to in your previous post. It looks as though we haven`t missed anything then.....just normal coffee drinkers I guess.

Pattaya’s baht buses made a profit of 1.4 million baht last year, according to Jamlong Sukprom, chairman of the Pattaya Baht Bus Taxi Co Ltd, the cooperative under which all the drivers and vehicles work.

Jamlong was addressing the cooperative’s annual general meeting and the figure quoted was for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2006.

Officers from the Chonburi Traffic Department attended the meeting, as did Mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn and his advisor Itthipol Khunplome.

The meeting was held at the Town in Town Hotel on May 25. After the financial results were read out and a summary of the committee work reported, Jamlong said that each member of the cooperative would receive 50 baht for each taxi number, and a 100 baht dividend.

Isuzu presented jackets to the drivers to thank the cooperative for buying so many Isuzu trucks.

Jamlong said that currently there are 412 members with more than 700 baht buses. Capital for operations at the end of December 31, 2006 was 10,610,270.36 baht. This amount included a debt of 1,191,965.56 baht. The capital stock of 663,000 baht accumulated a capital of 4,819,887.40 baht, and a profit for the year of 1,405,779.88 baht was declared.

  4. Well after seeing this thread I found myself with an hour or so to spare so I thought that I would visit the new Shenanigans.

Parking is very easy with ample parking spaces. Most of the outlets are still being completed and I noted some top market leader names amongst them.

An easy trip up the escalator took me to the first floor where the queue for the cinema was bigger than I have seen at any cinema complex in Pattaya.

I wandered over to the new Shenanigans which has tables set around the outside with quite a number taken.

Inside it was very impressive with quality furniture and fixtures and decor which still gave a good feel of a traditional pub. The new premises are much lighter than the old premises which were situated in a basement area across the road in the Royal garden complex.

The main bar area is very large with ample tables and comfortabe seating but also with quieter more private raised areas. The fixtures are impressive and the main bar area which I was drawn to is huge and designed in a horseshoe shape.

There is a second bar area which can be used for private functions and which will accomodate a games area when completed.

Having just opened I was quite surprised that it was as busy as it was with people sat around the bar as well as a number of people enjoying their meals.

I think that this place will be a winner...up market if you want to call it that....I found it very relaxing and enjoyed my beer and chat with the guys sat around the bar.

I would like to add that I have no financial interest whatsoever in these premises but just wanted to try it out and I was very pleased that I did. I will definitely be going back.

  7. Does the road construction affect the transportation to Pattaya and Jomtien? I'd be using the baht buses to Jomtien and walking to walking street (is it a far walk?). I'd never seen or been to this hotel, but I'd like to stay there in December and I'd like to book my hotel soon.

There is no current problem with getting to and from Jomtien.

Walking to Walking Street at a leisurely pace will take you about 10 to 15 mins, but I would not advice walking alone in the dark or early hours of the morning.

I have stayed at the Residence Garden and have no complaints. The apartments are spacious, clean and the staff helpful.

    :o

  8. I really think that we could put bandwidth to much better use than this (for want of better words a troll post ).

Weho this is a public warning that your posts concerning the major issues in your own little world and which appear to be trying to incite other members to react against establishment reputations are what are known as troll posts and therefore will not be tolerated any longer.

  9. I`v been to various branches of Mcdonalds in Pattaya over the years and I have never been short changed, in fact I have found the young staff who work there to be extremely polite and helpful.

Mistakes with change can happen anywhere and it is always wise to check your change wherever you are in any outlet throughout the world.

  10. Listed below is an extract from the forum rules concerning discussion about bar girls/boys and prostitution.

Lets not go into the wrong area with this discussion about weight.

    Thanks.
