PM2.5 AQI is 155 today. That's what David wrote in FB earlier today (Farang Community Chiang Mai).

How did it go? Made it through the rings of fire?

My account is on zero for something like 6 years. Does not get closed. And I'm not going to that Lad Prao branch.

If you have the card you should be fine. They do all kind of weird subcontracting here, possibly he got a commission for that fridge. Normal. I'd be more worried if there is a Chinese Electrolux outlet here that eventually could service the fridge.

You could possibly buy an existing company, that is the legal framework. Which should give you a bit more feeling of safety than asking one of the sharks to open one for you.
Safety such as legally taking over pre existing debts of the company, that you become liable for once buying company... Safer is setting up new company properly.
That's easy to check. Older companies are less likely to draw suspicion, being it tax or ownership of land. Not sure what the OP's intentions are.

Works for some, doesn't work for others. Doesn't work for me. I send it by mail for the last 2 years. Easy.

All current foreigner driver's licenses in Thailand carry that person's passport number preceded by a three digit nation of origin cope. It is a Thai Land Transportation regulation that you must inform your local Land Transportation office when your passport number changes. You are then issued with a new diver's license with that new passport number on it.
Don't think that is enforced in any way. I still have my old company address on the DL, nobody would even know what I want if I'd go to DLT. So forget it....
Will try to get the 13 digits Thai ID on the new one due in May. Let's see how this goes.

Imagine they would charge 500B farang price for it, the outcry....

Other people pay for adventure parks, a bar raid with automatic guns comes for free....something you can tell your grand kids

What Nancy indicated is very logical, if you cannot report online, when you report by person or mail, surely its sensible for IMM to check their data against their system/passport
Which should enable online reporting
I guess, this may happen in other cases, but I do not believe its the norm
I think not every IMM Officer can use their own system, the guy at the AP comes to mind
No, it doesn't. Been there twice in Jan, after they did not send the slip back. They checked it in the computer and all data was there, second time student printed the slip when the old man was playing on his phone.
My last entry was in Feb 2014, that is before the system went online, so I think there is simply a missing link between the online database and older arrival numbers.

You did not follow the instructions. Can't just put Chinese superglue on a Thai fan.

I wrote that already. I tried to use the Singapore branch to transfer money for purchasing a condo. To no avail. I tried to do that again with a US$ account in BKK. Could not be done. So I went to UOB and I am happy since. Not to forget the free 10mTHB accident insurance

The only thing that really works is that liquid with the heater you plug into a socket. Occasionally also one finds their way into the ultraviolet trap, but that's rare. Anything ultrasonic will not work, mosquitoes can't hear.
Other than that these burning spirals do work too, but that's not something you want in your bedroom.
Also, look out for any standing water, there is larvae poison in small green/white/blue bags, the locals call it "sand", looks like sand. Put it in any place where water could sit for a couple of days. Will get rid of the beasts.

I just bought a pack of envelopes at Lotus, 29B, plus 18 for the mail. Tomorrow will be the day. That's one Chang. Holy cow!

A single laptop or a camera is in the range of 40k. Everybody brings one. Nobody cares.

Not working online, back to the traditional ways

Why would anyone go to Bangkok Bank anyway. This is the last resort if one has no other option.
Bangkok Bank is the only bank that can direct deposit Social Security checks for Americans. Other than that, I can't think of any reasons. Would you
care to elaborate on why Bangkok Bank is inferior?
I accept that, for you poor chaps, if it's really the case.
I'm German and left that sh*tplace 16 years ago. Have opened and closed multiple accounts, bought houses and condos, no problems, besides that Bankok Bank disaster in he beginning. No need to agitate me, I compare them to Sparkasse in Germany. Some may know.

Got a warning which does not make sense. Feedback function is broken.
"Sorry, you don't have permission for that!"
Someone needs to look into this.
Thanks!

Read the thread, eventually you may understand.

You really think the Deposit Protection Scheme would pay out in the event of a banking melt-down?
CIMB is one of the biggest Banks in Asia, and Islamic Bank is a Thai government institution. So I'd rather bet on them than any Citibank of the world.

I recently bought a Chevrolet Colorado...
We're not talking about Isuzu here!

I got once a 1 year stamp with a visa, not extension. Everything is possible, the sky is the limit!

what is the definition of "sufficient" and "will do"?
For me personally it would be 25C. If colder I'll die. Or at least suffer. Up to you as they say

Crap, now my TM6 is gone. More fun to come. Luckily I have a scan, should be good enough for the 90 days, but I guess I have to go to Promenada to get a new one?
1 year extension 30 or 45 days before the date
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Been there 1 1/2 months before expiry, they worked through all the papers, gave me a stamp. Next day they called again that it was too early, had to go back and got another "under consideration" stamp. Chaeng Wattana, 2 years ago, marriage extension. 30 days is the window.
