British Bathroom Snake 🐍
A man had the fright of his life when he found a huge snake in his bathroom while he went to the toilet in the middle of the night. The snake had escaped from his neighbour's home in Gateshead and was found hiding in the soil pipe boxing on Tuesday, August 12. Pictures show the reptile wrapped around a pipe in the bathroom. It had managed to squeeze through a tiny gap before reaching the neighbouring home. After discovering the snake, the man called pest controllers who were able to safely rescue the intruder and return it to its rightful owner. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/2101085/terrifying-discovery-in-bathroom-snake

Ugandans question accepting US deportees
Ugandan officials have released few details about the agreement although they have stated that they prefer to take deportees of African origin and do not want people with criminal records. However, the country is being pushed as a deportation location for high-profile detainee Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man and an El Salvador native charged with human smuggling. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/8/26/the-whole-scheme-stinks-ugandans-question-deal-to-take-us-deportees

"Reform Party Says Deport Migrants"
LONDON (AP) — Nigel Farage, the leader of Britain’s hard-right Reform UK party, said Tuesday that if he wins the next election he will leave the European Convention on Human Rights and immediately detain and deport anyone who arrives in the country illegally, including children. Farage laid out his plans following a significant rise in migrants who arrive by boat across the English Channel, and weeks of protests over the government’s use of hotels to house asylum-seekers. “If you come to the U.K. illegally, you will be detained and deported and never, ever allowed to stay, period,” Farage told a press conference. “The mood in the country around this issue is a mix between total despair and rising anger,” he added, claiming there is now “a genuine threat to public order” if no action is taken. He said the issue of “how we deal with children is much more complicated,” but added: “Women and children, everybody on arrival will be detained.” https://apnews.com/article/britain-uk-nigel-farage-migrants-immigration-081c0c64d44aebef5498f3d1fefb1534

The case for… Mullet haircuts😁
Business at the front, party at the back. Few hairstyles are so bold as to warrant a catchphrase. (Mullets inspire many, including ‘You dillhole’ and ‘Employ this!’) But let’s stick with the original. Is it valid? Can we call it business in the front if the whole building is a mullet? Can we compartmentalise a head like this? If I have six A-levels but set fire to my school, I wouldn’t call myself half a model student. As a hairstyle, it’s low maintenance. It works both styled and messy, combining flowing locks with an easy front section. But this isn’t about practicality. A mullet is pointedly anti-aesthetic. A mullet will not look good in 20 years, because it doesn’t look good now. It’s entirely possible you hate the mullet. That’s why Gen Z loves it: if your jawline has evaporated, you’re not invited to the party. The insouciance of youth shines clearest in those who are wearing stuff that looks objectively terrible, yet everyone still wants to shag them. Think Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Benson Boone. Women can wear it, too. After all, what is a wolf cut, this summer’s hottest hairstyle? It’s a shag* with elements of mullet. *...a what? 😲🤣 https://observer.co.uk/style/the-case-for/article/the-case-for-mullet-haircuts Who on the forum is gonna volunteer?😅😅

Top bullfighter dies in contest - Portugal
Manuel Maria Trindade, 22, was standing in front of the bull at Lisbon's Campo Pequeno and then ran towards it to provoke the 700kg animal into charging. However, when he attempted to seize one of the horns, he was flung into the air and then crushed against a wall as thousands of spectators looked on. Emergency paramedics swiftly attended to him and it is believed that he was initially stabilised despite sustaining serious head injuries. He was rushed to Sao Jose Hospital and placed into an induced coma but sadly, his condition worsened and he passed away on August 23. https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/2100577/top-bullfighter-dies-contest-after-700kg-bull-rams-him-wall

Meghan Markle Success...Netflix
Meghan Markle may have finally found the key to success with the second series of her show, With Love, Meghan. The 44-year-old returned to our Netflix screens this morning with eight brand-new episodes of her cooking and lifestyle show. As well as creating delicious treats, Meghan was joined by a host of well-known faces - many of whom will likely finally be recognised by viewers in the UK. As a viewer from the UK, I do feel like the second series is a far better success than the first. https://share.google/e5z0r898K2wcNPbaN
