Is the 787 the only plane today that have this bleedless system? It would be nice if they can convert older planes into the new bleedless system considering that most planes for long haul today is the 777 and that one don´t have it I believe.´

Also I think the Airbus 380 don´t have it.

Also I wonder why some planes are very cold? I guess the employees an change that to warmer if they want?

Yes, the 787 is the only plane that has "bleedless air" and I'm pretty sure the others cannot be reconfigured for that (nor do Boeing and Airbus apparently see a need for this).

Most pax seem to prefer a cooler plane, I believe. Yes, the crew can regulate the temperature.

Don't forget that 787's tended to spontaneously combust when they were brand new and out of the box too.

It was the Li-Ion battery packs, NOT the plane's fuel tanks. Huge difference, no?

Since those days, they seem to have gotten the issue fixed (knocking on wood here).

I've been going out of my way for a while now to fly the 787, as it's the only plane out there that uses a bleedless air system, meaning the cabin air isn't generated from the engines and contamination is impossible. Apart from that, 787 cabin air also isn't that dry, the windows are larger, the mood lighting is cool, etc, it's juts a  real nice plane all around.

I had high hopes for the A 350 but Airbus chose not to copy the bleedless air system, which IMO is a big mistake as the public becomes more sensitized to the issue of fume events.

Poor bugger. Desperate act committed by a desperate man.

There are some lines that you just do not cross in life.

Imagine if everyone in a financial tight spot did this!

In addition, overstaying always brings out the "up in arms brigade" while they remain silent on these threads. IMO, committing a crime like this hurts the behaved & legal foreign residents plenty more in the long run.

That man [...] is closing the border to terrorists and other undesirables, not to mention building a wall.

You seem to be actually serious here. Here's a few facts:

His travel ban still allows citizens from countries that have in the past actually killed US citizens during acts of terrorism - Saudi Arabia being one of the obvious ones, Iraq as well.

The idea that a terrorist is always a foreigner who needs to enter the country first, is of course no longer valid, if it ever was. People radicalize themselves via the internet these days.

The Wall is useless as it will be tunneled under or flown over (that's how 40% of over-stayers got in in the past anyway). It will cost billions and Mexico won't pay for it.

What's your point here exactly? When Obama got elected, pretty soon that whole "birther/birth certificate/he's a Muslim" BS started. We have not forgotten some of the extremely ugly signs and "diy home projects" using gallows, etc. that were brought to rallies.

Fact check as mentioned already: Currently 42% of the US population favor removing the 45th. That has to be a record.

'unfollow' getting really boring with 4/5 liberal nutters dominating every 2/3 posts (you know who you are). Wish Bernie had made it but both sides are **** and I can't see US getting off it's PC knees anytime soon

We can't help it if you guys don't offer anything of substance.

Don't label people, discuss the issues and the news items instead of indulging in fantasies and making clearly incorrect statements.

What does 'PC' have to do with the train wreck of the Trump administration?

And the US is "on its knees" - the only connection I can make to your assessment would include the metaphor of providing oral sex to the Russians - but happy to discuss any facts backing up your p.o.v.

Her must, get out of it on her own. Bangkok is not a beggar city.

Bangkok is not a city for poor people

Have a good day to everyone out there

Jeez, what a response...  It clearly states how she got into this mess (giving her the benefit of the doubt that this is the real story).

May you never find yourself without money abroad and dependent on the kindness of strangers. Bangkokazy, you would instantly discover the humbleness you now lack.

Funny, when I lived in BKK from 2001 - 2005 it was full of poor people.

Great plan - except for the human element. Corner-cutting, cost-cutting, time-saving, out-and-out cheating... that's what people are good at. No good being idealistic here. Fire safety is a control issue. That's what government is for.

The rules and laws are already in place but they are not sufficient. I stand behind my point, whistle blowers have become vitally important, exactly because corner and cost-cutting endangers lives..

  8.

dd, people say the government should do this, that and the other when it concerns them directly or they are emotionally attached to the issue, as in the case of such a tragedy, and the rest of the time they hate regulations and laws, so this isn't going to work for every single case, area, industry, loophole, what have you.

I still say, strengthen individual responsibility in society and dial back the government as big brother directing it all.

Yes - to put it mildly. Just being honest.

I feel about Bangkok the same way (and I'm sure about Jakarta, Manila, KL, HCMC too if I had to live there). Phnom Penh used to be still Ok when I first laid eyes on it in 2003 but I sure wouldn't live there these days, however, the rest of Cambodia is still golden.

    If not, why?

Plus, I bet in a number of companies and organizations there are people with serious concerns/insider knowledge that do not come forward. ... It only comes out after people have died.

Don't they realize that lives literally depend on them taking action?

I have a Facebook account and it is probably ruining my relationship with everybody, because I don't use it at all anymore. I get hundreds of messages I don't look at which clog up my email, and I have hundreds of friend requests, some from very nice people whom I like a lot. But I don't accept any friend requests because it seems to increase the messages and friend requests by an order of magnitude. And why do I want the whole world to know what I said to Fred, or that I liked an article. It's none of their business.

I wish Facebook was on my side letting me create a custom experience, where likes and comments and messages were mine alone to know about. That would be awesome. Why do people want to have a timeline? You might as well build a glass house.

You can - and should! - unsubscribe from those email notifications. Just click on that at the bottom of the email.

The "custom experience" you have in mind would hinder FB being the money machine that it is, obviously.

I use FB to keep in touch with friends that live far away from me, I hardly ever post anything myself and it works for me. The first step is to really tighten your security settings as mentioned before.

This is exactly what happened to me.

I made a comment and agreed with a political video a facebook friend had posted, then literally within seconds an elderly cousin, not connected with that friend replied to my comment and then emailing giving me a lecture on the moralities of life. Twice this has happened to me now within the last week.

Then I thought what happens if some people make a comment on an escort site or are married and start chatting up other men or women or back certain political parties or beliefs that go against the grain with other people we may know. This also means if getting into any debates with certain parties on your friends lists is going to attract some uninvited participants into the debate.

Very dangerous and wonder how many realise exactly how dangerous this is?

There it is - I've always felt that while 'friends' are generally OK on FB, it's your immediate relatives that you should think twice about adding.

Does she have an upcoming concert? Or is she just planning on shaving her head again and joining a Wat this time?

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Yes, she's currently on an Asian tour.

The big question is: Will (dancer/musician?) Willie be able to tell her this time which city she is in, so she can address the crowd accordingly (referring to what happened in Taipei a few days ago, where her calls of "Willie Willie, where are we?" were broadcast over the PA followed by her giving a neutral audience greeting with no references to the location.

OK, this happened to other artists as well and it can all be a blur of airports, hotel rooms and arenas that all look very similar - my recommendation would be to ask your assistant BEFORE you start the show - but she really is the poster child for clueless.

No evidence, so whats all that stuff on the table in front of  them ?

It should have read "no evidence of a crime".

If none of these bank cards are reported stolen - and with so many, you'd expect at least a few of them to be - there is indeed none at that point.

The kid was unfortunately way too naive and self-centered and that lack of hiding what he was doing makes me think he really had the card holders approval to get their money... and now he's in deep <deleted>.
