Over Population at it's finest !! They should stay in their country or go to a Muslim country, Thailand does not need more poor, uneducated people !!

Is this really necessary, Most Chinese do not have the word "Quality" in their vocabulary !!

The problem the World over is over population in all these poor countries. These people have little or no education, no skills other than cooking or washing cloths. So all these people want to go to countries where the welfare is good and the free stuff is paid for by the working people in those counties. Africans go to Europe and bring nothing of value, Hispanics from every country south of the USA come up through Mexico and into the US for all the free stuff, they bring little or no skills other than how to multiply.

The EU created a crazy mess of worker from other countries coming to the countries that pay good. I was working an aircraft in Shannon Aerospace and a lot of them came from other countries a lot spoke little English. It is a big mess and the countries with a little money are helping countries that will not or can not help themselves, mainly Greece, Spain and to some extent Italy. But the free loaders keep coming by the boat load from Muslim Countries and then want to change Europe into the same mess they left.

Must not be Muslim owner !!

The whole pricing scheme in Thailand is crazy, in a city where the minimum wage is 300THB they have 200 to 300 USD a day hotels, 20M TBH condos, 5 USD drinks at night. Even in the country Rai of land can run into the 100's of thousand THB.

People so corrupt they catch them in billions of THB stolen scammed from the government. China had the right idea at one time they put a 9MM right in the back of the head for corrupt officials !!

An old man gets 10 years for having knock of CDs, while someone who kills cyclist gets suspended sentence an chump change fine !!

I do not buy anything based on advertisements or bill boards. I buy based on my needs and past experience. I look at a product and decide. All these billboards are an eye sore to me and would like to see them go away.

So in Thailand Involuntary Manslaughter gets you a 2 years suspended sentence and 50,000.00 BAHT fine ??

The problem is when I studied Law, back in the USA 1974, if you operated a vehicle in a reckless and dangerous way and killed someone it was Criminal Negligence resulting in death, Voluntary Manslaughter !! 10 years to life depending on circumstances. Is Thailand a Great place to live or what ??

If I remember correctly they had just bought some food, I think pizza and were walking back from the hotel . Their mistake was to walk on the left side of the road where they had no chance to avoid a speeding car hitting them from behind. If you must walk on a busy road in Thailand, always walk against the traffic , at least it gives you a chance to escape the situation.

My Mother, God Rest her Soul, taught me that 74 years ago and is the standard procedure in the USA, where I was raised.

Several things, (1) As a young lad in Georgia (USA) I was taught to walk and ride my bicycle facing the traffic. (2) A little late at night to be riding in an improperly lighted area. (3) Car may heave been stolen or plates stolen otherwise what is the point of running unless you fear for your life.

Lastly, Where is the Red Bull Twerp that killed the Policeman ?? Seems like running, especially if your are well connected is the way (The locals) take care of business !! Manslaughter is a way of life some places !!

When I was a young man in the Southern part of the USA they had "Chain Gangs", these prisoners worked on the roads and ditches along the roads. It was hard work and many learned that if they broke the law they would end up out there. The other thing is everybody sees them and knows what is waiting if they break the law. Of course the Liberal Bleeding Hearts said how cruel that was, but it had it's effect !!

Drunk Driving, First time 6 months on the Chain Gang, Second time one year. Third time put them away for life on a remote island somewhere !!

According to the condition of the truck the other "Deadly Sin" Speed mixed with alcohol. Suicide by vehicle !!

Moral of story, always have a return ticket !! Oh, by the way, a little self discipline helps. Like John Wayne said "Life is difficult and if you are stupid it is very difficult or was it worse", anyway you get the message.

Aside from the reduced cost of living I like the climate, for many years I worked for US Airlines in the East and North East, Ice and Snow every year, so Thailand never has either !!

My problem is the way they discriminate against retirees verses those with Work Permits, such as banking, cell phone accounts. I also do not like not being able to own land, they should allow, but restrict amount of land to say 50 Rai.

This stupid annual renewal of visa extensions is crazy, should have choice one year, three or five year. Just pay the same amount, but not go through the Que every year.

I see them stop trucks and vans on the service roads of Rama II Road. But to stop trucks, vans and many cars on the streets in BKK would only make the traffic worse.

Too many guns in the hands of untrained and uncontrolled. What was he doing with a gun, did he have a permit and waht was he hiding ??

I guess he got tired of handing out gratuities to the cops

Makes me wonder why they always pick on the motorcycles and not the cars, vans and trucks?

Are the just fast easy targets?

They need a "Three Times and then Life Law" here.

The real problem here is most do not have an education or skill. They also see no future for themselves so why not take from those that have.

Of coirse, it is stupid for a young women to be hanging around at 03:00, unless she has a "Black Belt" and is looking for practice.

There are some countries that burn their garbage to generate electricity, seems Thailand would have no proble doing the same since they generate much more than average country.

It is amazing how things go left unresolved. There are problems with the roads around where I live that have been that way for seven years.

They have plenty of money for all those fancy uniforms the politicians and bureaucrats wear.

Colonization Pay Back is Hell !! Europe is feeling the pain for all the plunder for Centuries.

Aircraft Engine Bleed Air and Air Conditioning 101. The air used to provide pressurization for the cabin is Bleed Air for either 8th or 13th Stage of Compression in the engine, depending on power setting of the engine. Occasionally one of the Air Oil Seals will allow a small amount of oil vapor to enter the compressor section.

The Pressurized air from the engine goes through two Heat Exchangers , a Primary before entering the Air Cycle Machines which is both a compressor and then an Expansion Turbine, there is a Secondary Heat Exchanger between the Compressor side of the ACM and the Expansion Turbine side. The expansion of air is where the cooling comes from. It then goes through a Coalescing Filter to remove any particulate matter and oil vapors.

Someyimes some oil fumes will enter the cabin, but you can smell it and the crew can isolate the bad system and shut it down. It would be very rare to have the fumes in only one isolated area as the air enters a Plenum Chamber and the distribution is wide spread from there. The only isolated place could be where the Risers are located carrying air to tghe overhead bins and Gasper Outlets. That row is where you only have one window instead of two for each seat.

.Now we wait and see what the findings are.

I don't get it why everyone seems to think this is unfair. They are talking about the bigger taxi's no surcharge for the smaller ones. Those bigger taxi's are more expensive to buy and to operate. Fair is fair besides if your alone you don't need one of those and you can make do with a smaller one.

So I am ok with this as long as its only for the bigger kind.

Curious, How often do you actually fly in/out of BKK ?? The biggest problem here is the unknowing tourist, if you have lived in Thailand and allow them to rip you off, must be your fault !! I rarely use the Meter Taxi. I use my wife and her Civic or the AOT Limo. Nice cars, smell good and have Professional acting drivers !!
