  1. Make a lane on the street and keep them off the sidewalks, keep the Damn motorcycles off the sidewalk as well. There is a Cycle, jog and walk bridge from Sukumvit Soi 10 to Lumpini. I walked it the other day had two joggers and i cyclist. Then on the sidewalk along Sukumvit Soi 10 to Soi 4 met with at least 10 cyclist on the side walk.

  2. Australia, just like any other country has a right to reject what they consider to be a threat to national security and with all the ISIS and radical Muslim Groups refugee or not. There is too much of this "Lets move over there and create stuff and do it while living off welfare !!

Most of these people should stay home and make something of their country !!

  3. Some facts missing here, Two lane or multiple lanes each way, were you sitting still with turn signal going, in a turn lane ?? The problem here is Motorcycles think the own the road and drive anywhere and anyway and with a tag like that I would request alcohol test or see if hospital did a blood test.

Hope you have insurance, because ole "THAPISSDRUNX" sure will not !!

  4. Sounds like a Union or Craft Group, which have been a round for a long time in most countries. Hell they are getting organized, good for them !!

Now admittedly I don't know a great deal about the Empower Foundation and maybe they do create work out in the Thai community.

However, there is a quite extraordinary statement on their website: - http://www.empowerfoundation.org/index_en.html

    I'm speechless.

  5. If you have insurance or money, Bumrungrad is good, they have a Womens Clinic and I am sure that have seen it before.

If you mean herbs and the like there are plenty claiming to help but little evidence that they do.

What works best is bioidentical HRT which is likely NOT what she had before. That means estradial and progesterone (NOT a synthetic progestin!) Identical in composition to that human women have prior to menopause.

Unfortnately Thai Ob-Gyns are almost all unfamiliar with this and prescribe only things like Premarin and Provera.

The docs at the various ant-aging clinics affiliated with major hospitals do however usually stock and prescribe bioidentical HRT. Pricey though esecially at first as they tend to want to do complicated hormone tests.

BTW it is estogen that stops the hot flashes but progesterone that eases the mood swings..and only true progesterone will do that, synthetic progestins like provera will often make them worse.

Bioidentical estrogen gel is readily available OTC brand name Oestrogel but getting natural progestetone is difficult. It is not safe to use estrogen alone (risk of uterine cancer) and will also not help the "crazies".

  6. If they are "Young Professionals", Then act like it !!

Anyone seen anything in The Thai newspapers about this , Not one Thai paper carrying this on Newsnow and that included BKK post and Nation ?

Three Leicester City players who it is claimed appeared in a racist sex tape have apologised for their behaviour.

Footage apparently showing development squad members Tom Hopper, Adam Smith and James Pearson - son of manager Nigel Pearson - was obtained by theSunday Mirror.

One of the men in the video, which was shot in Thailand, can be heard using a racist insult against a woman.

The club said they would be conducting a formal process of investigation.

A club statement said: "The board of Leicester City is deeply concerned about an incident involving three of our young professionals during a recent trip to Thailand.

"Following a preliminary meeting in consultation with the three players earlier today, the players involved in the incident are now returning to the UK, in advance of the rest of the squad.

    This bit I found amusing

"The club are in a "strategic partnership" with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Amazing Thailand branding appears on the back of player's strips."

When I looked yesterday, the original Daily Mirror story in the OP was all over the Thai language press eg Thairath. Manager etc

  7. I tip 10 to 15% and at a restaurant with two or more people at least 100 THB. I never pay a taxi driver less than 100 THB and sometimes 50 to 100 THB above meter is he drives good and does not have one of those loud mufflers, PS also does not have Thai music breaking my ear drums.

I have pretty good retirement and enjoy being generous with the people who are trying to make a living, little regard for the profession/mafia beggars.

Is this a great country or what ??

  8. If they are a "Terrorist" they do not deserve prison for life, they need to go on to the Higher Judge, wrapped in a Pig Skin !!

    The new law is crap.

It creates a second tier level of Australian citizenship.

One for those born with Australian citizenship but nothing else.

Thos born with Australian citizenship, who happen to be born with another citizenship or who go out and get another one.

The latter group, which certainly includes me and many of TV erstwhile memberships kids (I'm sure), plus at least 4 million other australians estimated to hold another nationality, are now subject to ministerial whim based on secretive intelligence advisors. No judicial oversight to be seen.

The same advisors who brought us WMD in Iraq.

So we've created a second class tier of citizenship.

Populism at its worst. What is wrong with locking up proven terrorists for life?

Terrorists - those it will affect - won't care. They've taken up violence against the state anyway so it a little strange you are complaining about this law.

    It's a win-win

  9. Some where a long the line I missed any post tha named a suspect, well known or other wise ??

By the way, Where is the "Red Bull Twerp" that killed the Thai Policeman on the streets of BKK with his high speed, alcohol and maybe drug nun mind, of course he was smart enough to head home and try to get someone else to take the fall, Where in the H is he ?? My guess where he has always been at home and partying !!

  10. Yes and Bull Feces doesn't smell !!

Since 2006 Thailand has not had a leader with business and entrepreneurial skills !!! The downward economic trend will continue until a semblance of true democracy returns , with a leader who is an astute businessman .

Does it have to be a businessman or could it be a businesswoman?

This is what the FT (The Financial Times) said about Yingluck Shinawatra on July 3, 2011

She was the chief executive of Advanced Info Service, the telecoms company he (Thaksin() founded and built into the country’s biggest mobile carrier; she was also a director of Manchester City, the British Premier League soccer club that her brother bought in 2007 and sold the following year; and most recently she has been the CEO of SC Asset Corp, a listed property developer majority owned by Mr Thaksin’s two children.

But, despite her gilded rise to the top, she commands respect in the business world. SC Asset Corp’s share price has more than doubled in the five years she has been at the helm, compared with a 45 per cent increase in the broader SET Index. She also has a master's degree in public administration from Kentucky State University.

“She was very well armed with all the available facts and statistics, and certainly very professional,” said one businessman who has travelled on international conferences with Ms Yingluck. But, he adds, “She was certainly less approachable then than she seems now.”

Ms Yingluck has proved to be a fast learner. In May, at the start of the election campaign, she was a halting public speaker who tended to sound shrill and who avoided in-depth interviews. Last Friday night, she stood on a stage in the pouring rain working the crowd at Puea Thai’s final campaign event like a seasoned pro.

  11. You can not have Democracy with the level of corruption that exist/ or did in Thailand. Bought and paid for votes are not a Democracy !! Most of the mouths have never lived in a Democratic Country, actually very few in the World have. Even in the USA we have a Republic and it is being run by whoever has the most money and stuff to give away.

Let the General/PM keep flushing the devise until the water is clear, in another year or two. Then talk about holding an election. Another thing the US has 370 million people and 435 Representatives, 100 Senators, 535 to represent the People. Thailand has 70 million and how many Political Lackeys struting around in the pretty white uniforms with more medals than Audie Murphy earned in WW II.

I have lived here in this Beautiful Country 11 years and because I keep my nose clean I do not even feel a Junta, actually feel better because I believe the corruption is beginning to go away.

What this country needs very badly is a strong educational system where the young people can learn how to better run their lives and this country. It will take at least one to two generations to really make Thailand shine !!

  12. It is not just Pattaya, it is all over Thailand. Bangkok is just as bad and is an eye sore to the "Quality Tourist", it sure is an eye sore to a farang like me who has wondered for 11 years "Who in the hell is stupid to allow this to be"??

One of the whole problems in Thailand is it seems like no body gives a damn !! They say it is always been that way and always be that way. Which is true if no one is held accountable !!
