You mean there is no throwing buckets of water on Soi Siam? You gotta be joking, right? If there isnt a stupid farang throwing water, then there is a stupid bar girl. Fortunately, the little kids havent developed their aim yet, so can sometimes miss them.

It doesnt take much rain to make a flood here. The drains are all filled with sand, plastic, and cooking oil. Most roads are designed to be the storm drainage channel, (like Soi Siam) so it only takes a few mm, to flood. In other places, the road and drainage are higher than the surrounding land, so everything floods, before the water can ever get to the drain. Still havent figured out why the drains are in the middle of the road, and of course when your on a bike and hit those drains, it could wreck you.

If you want to save money, dont feed your kids! Also it might help if they go barefoot, when they want to see the dolphins!

There are cheaper phones available, but then he wouldnt be number one in his class, and everyone would laugh at him. Its really a shame, that young kids cant be kids anymore, they have to be responsible for expensive electronics. How do you climb a tree, or play in a mud puddle, if you have to worry about your phone?
Sorry, not really directed at you, but its sad to see kids attached to a phone, even 4 year olds.

Probably the cow had no business being in a construction site, but still, it could have been a kid that fell into the water. As usual, the local government tries to cover their ass too, since no one ever inspects a construction site, so whos fault is it?

I wonder how many farangs would have given it back, especially to a Thai.

You could just tell your friend, that there is no pet shop there. I hate it when someone ask me to pick up something, and probably the shop isnt there any more, or they got the address wrong, especially in Thailand.

Guess no one has come up with any phone numbers, so we are stuck with defending ourselves. I live on a 50 house estate, and there are a couple of guards on the gate all the time, and then they drive around a few times on their bikes, but not sure how it would discourage any burglars. We will see what happens on the holidays, since most of the residents will be gone. We have a few soi dogs, that dont like strange people, but a little poison has been known to quite them down. Most residents have a dog or two, but if someone is gone, I dont know if the neighbors dog will have a lot of affect.
A gun wont help, if your not home. It will just give the thief a good weapon, to use on the next job. If I had a gun, I sure wouldnt shoot it in the dark, so that is a big risk, maybe just a big club near the bead. How many family members have been shot by someone protecting his property?

Thats great, joking about such an accident! That seems to be the normal mentality. Even the police man was sleeping! How do you get work like this, paid to sleep!

Seems like anything illegal can be bought in the shops. Just seen yesterday, someone selling black ink removal chemicals on Craigslist (for removing the black ink on money)

I think Phil is right, but I also have never seen any moths, so dont know what they eat, and where they lay their eggs. I guess the head only pops out at certain times, when they are on the move.

Did you call the Bib? Since it dosent look like he can pay any tea money, then might arrest him or if he is a foreigner, they might deport him, and confiscate his equipment. If the police turn the screws on him, he may give up the names of the owners. Ask the members of TV what his motives are, maybe he is planing on hauling all the sand off the beach.

Just wondering if someone knows the name of the insects, that attach themselves to the ceilings and walls of homes. This morning just noticed that there were a hundred or more on the walls. They look like a worm, but then make a cocoon, which usually hangs by a thread, like a spider web. I see them all the time, but today, there were more than normal. I tried to Google something up, but just too many to go through. I guess they are harmless, but would just like to be on a first name bases with them, since they are living in my home.

With a well known car like that, he should hide it in a garage, sell it, or move to another city, or even country!! Every time someone sees that car, they will think "What a cheap ba....d". You made a very big mistake with your game. You have a car that brought you attention, no you will get more than you hoped for.

The police set up sting operations sometimes, so why not the public? Im sure if their face was on U Tube, things might change a bit.

Dont bring them over here to the dark side, we have enough already.
Tell me, who would buy a condo on Jomtien, and park on the dark side? That must be a Thai idea, from city hall!

Unfortunately, the next person that needs similar help, may not get it. "I gave the BIB 50k, so I dont have the time or money to even offer a beer to the guys that found it first."

I think they are 5 baht in the shops! Who would spend big money on a pen? I only use pens to write with, not for show. I use my fake T-shirts to impress, the ones with the alligator on the pocket!

The problem of rescue services not finding your home is a big problem. If your in an estate, then its easy to give the estate name and street, but if your out in the sticks, the road may not even have a name or the name is never used. I had that problem before, when a friend had an accident and needed medical attention. The ambulance couldnt find the house, so had to ask at a bar, and it just so happened, that the estate owner was at the bar. After the ambulance arrived and picked up my friend, then they asked me how to get to the highway, so I had to drive ahead of them, to show the road. You would think that they have GPS, but they didnt, and this was an ambulance from BKK hospital.

Does it actually go anywhere, or just up and down? Seems like a very dangerous game.

The problem is that growth has narrowed the beach so much, that the sand is more vertical that horizontal, so how can the sand stay on the beach? Lots of beaches here are in the same shape. Sandy beaches are made by nature, not by man. Man comes along and builds a road and walkway as close to the sea as possible, then there is no room for the sand, so the sea eats it away. All the trees and sand bags will not stop the process.

I heard that years ago, this used to be the place to settle scores, usually with only one of the parties leaving. Hope Maprachan isnt making a comeback as a favorite dumping ground.

Does this mean that the monks will be thrown in jail, because of the carnivals in the temple areas?
Some people spend thousands on lottery tickets, and are very much addicted, but now we cant even throw some darts for 20 baht!

Should be a very simple way to see who opened the box, of course cctv cameras dont seem to work at the critical time, so this one probably didnt work either.

I like the idea of the dolls, it will really make people think! Why not put some clowns on the road, dressed as police?
