  1. Yes when i got a quote they said don't worry about the length 5555
  2. This is very true.
  3. Not so much concerned but always good to get a fair price to build Maintenance will always be needed so anyone building a pool will be aware of that
  4. Anywhere to go and visit is always good Chiang Mai sleeping up in the hills at Mon Jam was fantastic for 4 nights but would not want to be driving up and down each day After 5 days that was enough
  5. Chiang Rai i really enjoy. Chiang Mai is good but then i used to live in Prachuap Khiri Khan and that was by far the most boring place in Thailand Took hours to get anywhere nice ,Beaches were good very quiet but apart from that nothing much It even made isaan look fun.
  6. I use shopee more than Lazada now as find i get more discounts and more frequent Might be able to find the same on there.
  7. My son is about to start selling on Ebay As he was born in Thailand he is going to register as a sole trader Selling only overseas so no vat in Thailand but obviously will need to pay income taxes. Should be easy enough as heard a few other members doing the same
  8. Sounds good. Did you do the install? Also how long did it take to manage to sell back excess as thought it takes a long time to set up with checks
  9. My wife just asked if y.ou supply the whole village hahaha She thought I was crazy when I said I might need about 20 panels.
  10. I am not wanting these on the house roof I was planning to get a car port built and originally for around 3 cars but might make it twice the size now to accommodate extra panels. Like you say they are easier to clean and also don't like the look of them all over the house roof Plenty of space but 79 panels wow.. I will look at the link I did see it before when I was not ready to get into solar systems but thanks for that .
  11. Eliminate your bill but maintain a grid connection for backup. This would be ideal Great info as always. Our house won't be finished until around September so will be cooler than now. I can see why I read about people adding panels or a battery especially when it's 38c most days. December /January our bill drops right down so lots to think about. If I base the power consumption on these hot months it might be better having a smaller system and pay extra for the hotter months through the grid.
  12. Many thanks I am starting to understand all the info being given. From what I understand if I had say 30 panels and no battery for nighttime use then I might as well just have say 15 panels for now to use for air cons/pool pump. Probably need to find a local solar installer as homepro sounds expensive
  13. And do you have batteries or sell back to PEA? What sort of cost was your system or did you DIY?
  14. Yes homepro have said to us if you fit Solar they will put a digital meter on your house. Maybe I will get them to fit the old style meter first then get a local company to fit the solar at a later date
  15. I was wanting to build a car port mainly for shade for about 4-5 cars and put the panels on top but 35 panels would be more like the size of the car park roof in Tesco.
  16. Many thanks I was sure I was way off so thanks for your reply For some reason I was hoping 12 panels would be sufficient to charge the Batteries and use a/c in the day. So I am looking at around 35 panels? Is that going to be the minimum amount needed? I thought PEA charge a huge amount to sort out the buy back deal .
  17. I did wonder what happened to Tim "sharky"ward
  18. Thanks for this info What size System would be needed for say 60 kw ? Or how many panels/Batteries would be needed? Sorry total novice with this just trying to work out the cost. 21kwp would that work for us?
  19. Are the 72% Bangkok condo owners aiming to travel as far away as possible?
  20. Many thanks i have so much to learn and think i might need a break and have a beer now, Looking at getting a pool bult very soon 10mx 4 m around 1.5-18 m Will have to look at DC pumps soon
  21. Say we are aiming for 60 -70 units a day Am i correct in thinking maybe get 12 panels giving me 24kwhr a day and 3 batteries each around 10kwhr This would give me 54kwph If so what sort of price would this cost Many thanks for your help
  22. Yes we were basing it on our current house but are now around 50% finished building our new house. I expect it to be double the bill with a pool and extra air con At the moment we have a 12k btu inverter on at least 18 hours a day Also a 18k btu inverter on almost 24hrs a day at least 22hrs Another 12k btu running around 8hrs a day
