  1. Would prefer a concrete pool so I can get the exact size/shape /depth I would like but starting to see lot's of advantages with fiberglass pools. Vinyl pools I am told to avoid and probably are the least desirable to me at least. Salt chlorinator pools I am told work best with fiberglass pools.
  2. Just starting to get a few quotes for a concrete pool with salt chlorinator and keep getting builders saying the fiberglass ones are better. I understand they are quicker and can get a quick profit but everything i read is saying i should go for fiberglass The concrete pools look like they are higher maintenance and thinking about it a few pools i have seen that are tiled have tiles missing Much prefer the look of a tiled concrete pool but could do without extra maintenance Really not worried about the time it will take as we are in the middle of building a house so no rush

  10. Yes when i got a quote they said don't worry about the length 5555
  11. Not so much concerned but always good to get a fair price to build Maintenance will always be needed so anyone building a pool will be aware of that
  12. Anywhere to go and visit is always good Chiang Mai sleeping up in the hills at Mon Jam was fantastic for 4 nights but would not want to be driving up and down each day After 5 days that was enough
  13. Chiang Rai i really enjoy. Chiang Mai is good but then i used to live in Prachuap Khiri Khan and that was by far the most boring place in Thailand Took hours to get anywhere nice ,Beaches were good very quiet but apart from that nothing much It even made isaan look fun.
  14. I use shopee more than Lazada now as find i get more discounts and more frequent Might be able to find the same on there.
  15. My son is about to start selling on Ebay As he was born in Thailand he is going to register as a sole trader Selling only overseas so no vat in Thailand but obviously will need to pay income taxes. Should be easy enough as heard a few other members doing the same
  16. Sounds good. Did you do the install? Also how long did it take to manage to sell back excess as thought it takes a long time to set up with checks
  17. My wife just asked if y.ou supply the whole village hahaha She thought I was crazy when I said I might need about 20 panels.
  18. I am not wanting these on the house roof I was planning to get a car port built and originally for around 3 cars but might make it twice the size now to accommodate extra panels. Like you say they are easier to clean and also don't like the look of them all over the house roof Plenty of space but 79 panels wow.. I will look at the link I did see it before when I was not ready to get into solar systems but thanks for that .
  19. Eliminate your bill but maintain a grid connection for backup. This would be ideal Great info as always. Our house won't be finished until around September so will be cooler than now. I can see why I read about people adding panels or a battery especially when it's 38c most days. December /January our bill drops right down so lots to think about. If I base the power consumption on these hot months it might be better having a smaller system and pay extra for the hotter months through the grid.
  20. Many thanks I am starting to understand all the info being given. From what I understand if I had say 30 panels and no battery for nighttime use then I might as well just have say 15 panels for now to use for air cons/pool pump. Probably need to find a local solar installer as homepro sounds expensive
  21. And do you have batteries or sell back to PEA? What sort of cost was your system or did you DIY?
  22. Yes homepro have said to us if you fit Solar they will put a digital meter on your house. Maybe I will get them to fit the old style meter first then get a local company to fit the solar at a later date
