  1. The Lorazepam and Xanax isnt working anymore. I've tried trazadone and amitryptine and it makes me feel brainless the next day. I take such a high dosage of Lorazepam that its effecting my memory and slowing me down quite a bit. I really have a serious problem sleeping and I have yet to find a medication that helps. Exercise and making love as well but still wont help me sleep! I now have Chronic Fatigue and depression without sleep and I hope somebody out there has a wonder drug for me to try ?

    thank you

  2. If you need something like valerian root on a regular basis, something is wrong with your liftestyle. You may need some professional counselling. Try taking long walks (or other forms of exercise) which will help release stress. Camomile tea is a simple relaxant at bed time.

I wish I could sleep and function without medication but sadly I have no choice and wish the amitryptiline didnt make me feel like a fridge magnet the night after use. So taking 6 mg of Lorazepam is the only remedy for me before sleep, kee lek and those herbal supplements dont touch me, try some melatonin supplements with lorazepam and you will get a good 6 hour sleep. I wish I could sleep for 8 hours but I never could!

  3. I can't imagine being poor and looking for work in a country that isn't my own. Why on earth did they come here with no "back up"

Yep my thoughts exactly. Go to a pharmacy and explain that your friend has the shits and they'll give you something for it. Surely that wasn't too hard to figure out. Oh wait, I forgot who I'm talking to. You're the guy who came to a foreign country with no cash, no income and no prospects.

Thailand is a 'Buddhist' Country, and owning nothing is highly respected by the monks here. *REAL MONKS...

When You have nothing you are truly FREE, being bound by worldly possessions and debts to banks are inprisonment. All that fancy crap you buy with all your money truly OWNS you......

  4. I have to agree; a guy punching the air to a 4/4 beat is NOT a performer or an artist but I grudgingly accept that modern youth/club culture touts them as such.

As for DJing in Thailand, good luck but remember that club culture here - if you can call it that - is incredibly unsophisticated.

These people are spoonfed cheesy K-Pop and popular crap like Pitbull and Katy Perry and that's what they want to hear when they go out.

There is little in the way of an underground scene to drive homegrown musical innovation. Just go to Insomnia, Climax, Spicy, Shock 39 or Mixx and you'll understand what I mean when I say that any efforts a DJ makes to educate his audience are pointless . These people are still going crazy to Black Eyed Peas' "I've got a feeling" years after it was a hit, <deleted>.

Rappers who write lyrics and produce beats with music have talent. Most DJ's in Thailand can rap as well as produce and DJ, I'd say thats showing more talent than someone who can ONLY play a guitar or drums. good luck man, Thai's love karaoke and mainstream manufactured music, original music is never appreciated in Thailand except for limited tourist areas...

  5. Yes, most tourists to tropical countries from western ones do.

Why ? There is tons of food your not used to, bacterial your body isn't sure about, the heat doesn't help, you drink to much, eat to much and of course try to always find the cheapest anything...

At least in North America you body is more used to chemicals all over your food, they nuke some things and kill bacteria.

Your bodies are weak, kind of like when you use antibacterial soap, you kill the bacteria you NEED in your system to build up a defense, you need the bacteria on your hands to kill the other stuff...

It is hard for people to understand but a sterile enviroment breads unhealthy people...

LIving in a filthy cockroach infested sewer your entire life strengthens your immune system! YEAH!

  6. Tad disappointing considering the extreme message from the poster.

Kind of don't see the point of the exercise and one Thai lady with a brick in her hand has obvious issues, but the video itself is somewhat harmless....back to investigative journo school with you.

ITs sad to see wild tigers being slaughtered everywhere in Asia at over nearly causing world wide extinction of many species BUT they are playing rough with these tigers and tigers enjoy chasing and fighting with there prey, they don't cry when the other tigers bite them so its all in fun play and atleast better than the usual zoo keepers housing. One thing i disagree with is how heavily drugged these beasts are if NOT they would be tearing these hecklers with bags of skin to shreds!

  7. The funniest thing about this topic is not the original post, but that there were 4 and a half pages of posts before OP made his second post.

Ironically, all of you guys calling him a troll have resulted in "successful troll is successful". Guess you all secretly loved the post.

Congrats on your happiness; I like the positive energy! Ignore the haters smile.png

    I

THanks brother, this topic is actually POSITIVE, someone else tried to pull me off topic and take things out of context i said in another forum post standing up for the enslaved workers at Lotus. I really should get my GF a wash board. Maybe a washing machine someday,, but whats wrong with saving energy water and money and helping nature? See the positive of this,

It also makes my gf nice and toned. I'm thankful she's not a fat whale like many others I've seen in this region!

  8. Imodium helps a lot.

Loperamide/Immodium stops your guts from moving. This can be a good thing if you need to administer antibiotics or other drugs you want to stay in the system rather than being flushed out quickly, as well as when you absolutely need to travel or do something else where it's inconvenient to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes. But as a cure for diarrhea it is absolutely useless, and in some cases the diarrhea helps to flush out the source of the problem. So to use Immodium indiscriminately or for a long period of time is a bad idea. Ginger and turmeric help to stabilize your stools from getting too loose, and cost next to nothing.

Yes Ginger and turmeric are very good. The pharmacy can go to hell. My GF and I cannot take this any longer he has got a job starting in a few weeks so he can sleep on the floor for a while and she does not mind cleaning up after us. I would enjoy the privacy, its starting to feel like that movie with the guy who never grows up moving back in to live with his best friend from childhood and he burns his living room down. Funny movie but now its happening to my life. When I want to get private time, he must leave for 2 hours every night so I can exchange weapons with my GF so NO I dont share........

  9. I don't think the way you eat food particularly matters; but the advice about not starving yourself is noteworthy. The only way I've ever successfully followed a diet is by planning and pre-preparing six small meals and eating them at regular intervals throughout the day - you can't rely on your body to 'tell' you it's hungry, actual hunger pangs are often a sign of dehydration, not famine. The hardest thing is temptation, especially when you're busy or travelling; healthy food needs to be available in small portions when required. I still follow the old Body-for-LIFE routine, working out first thing on an empty stomach, then taking the first meal an hour later; my favorite meals are tuna or chicken salads for the 1st, 3rd and 5th meals (8am, 12pm, 6pm) and protein shakes for the 2nd, 4th and 6th meals (10am, 3pm and 9pm).

Fasting is quite effective and being ordained as a forest monk helps! I eat 4 times a day with LITTLE or NO meat and I'm six packed to railroad tracks man!

  10. Reading ...... that's about it.

What do you consider intellectual pursuits?

    Thank you.

Can I just repeat that the title for this subject should be

The Intellectual Aspects of Living in Thailand.

Do you know how to change this?

Yes, I love reading, too. I'm currently reading James Ellroy. He writes very well and his stories are interesting.

You all should read the book 'The Origin of Virtue" one of Bill Clintons favorite books as well as mine!

Why do dolphins gang rape women like chimpanzees? If you have ever pondered why, then give this book a quick read! Very Intriguing!

  11. The problem is that lots of the sexpats here are trying to be heros saving a poor upcountry girl with a sick dad/ Buffalo from the evil bar owners.

Others got a young wife and think that treating the wife real good and giving her whatever she wants will make her love him.

If a relationship started out of money, most cases it will end with money.

Lot of farangs were killed for insurance or just a few hundred thousand baht.

Others got divorced with the wife, losing both his assets and cash.

Sent from my XT910 using Thaivisa Connect App

True love can only be achieved with COMMUNICATION and if neither if you can understand eachother in atleast one language, the relationship will fall apart. Lust doesnt last forever and if it was about how hung you were, she wouldnt have left you to be with her half sized thai boyfriend, its because they understand love. The same reason I have a decent girl who never slept around with other men before me and knows I'm poor and has nothing but we UNDERSTAND eachother and have fun!

good luck with True love buds..

  12. Is it just me and every other friend that has come here noticing volcanic eruptions of eggplant peppers popping out like a broken fire hydrant exploding every hour? My friend has been sleeping over at my place on the floor unfortunately and my one room studio is starting to smell like a Bulgarian out house during a carnival! Should I kindly ask him to rent a room or any ideas on what medicines he should take other than charcoal not working? Hes got no insurance and not much money to go to hospital like me he is poor looking for work!

    Please help!

    Thanks!

  13. Buy her a washing machine for her birthday.

A washboard is all he can afford. But she could take it to the local river and save on his water bills.

Twintubs are very cheap at Tesco and she can save even more using her staff discount.

THANKS for mentioning the staff discounts because THEY DONT EXIST! Not even a 5 percent discount. and the clearance items are OFF LIMITS for the store employees if discounted over 50 percent. The CUSTOMER is god BUT the employee is just a tool of the rich mans greed. Corporate vomit controls Thailand, but atleast natural disasters will wipe most of them out someday..

  14. Tesco and all of its susidiary companies world wide generate 3 million baht per hour and pay there workers here in thailand 30 baht an hour? one fraction of 1 percent for 1 worker to break there backs stacking shelves all day. Now I know why they are always looking frustrated and miserable at the check out line, its not a store wide disater, its a world wide enslavement of sweatshop workers in 3rd world countries working for mutinational corporate mafia monopolies!
