  1. I went today to c.m. immigration to see if my made online appointment would be honored on the 27th of this month. The officer doing the extensions looked at my printout and then checked a list he had in his desk top drawer. Yes.

As far as long lines and standing in the sun I saw NONE of that. Everyone was sitting under a deck waiting. More than enough places to sit. Just as calm a place as you would want it. Opposite of what I have been reading here on T.Visa.

  2. Has anyone gone to Promenda in the past week WITH a online que date and time (made online weeks ago) and been accepted ?

When I w ent you had to go inside and show your online queue card as they were not calling online appointments, as I assumed they can not access the online queue.

Thanks for the reply. So immigration took you at your appointment time ?

  3. We have a school bus driver who turns up drunk. in the bus taking kids to school.

    Who has to report this?

No one else will. So I do it. Do they care? Not sure yet. Will post.

Have a quite work to the school Director. They are often in charge of employing the drivers to serve the kids from their school.

Breathalise them if they pick up from school, bring in the death penalty for causing death by wreckless use of a motor vehicle.

Tragic loss of innocent life again.

    RIP.

Totally useless suggestion. No realistic expectation it could happen in a third world country.

  4. I know a girl keeping a small cute rodent in Japan they call a Marmot. ( I don't know what they really are, the Marmots I know from N. America are freaking huge).

Anyway she was stupid enough to let it play outside and an Owl swooped down out of nowhere (Asahikawa) in broad daylight and carried it away. Traumatized but, Is that the Owls fault?

Killing snakes is a bad idea and cannot see how it can be honestly justified, even if venomous. They should be wrangled by snake handlers and relocated.

Not like the world is full of snake wranglers. Bet you can't find one when you need him/her.

  5. Interesting. How much was a bowl of noodles from a street stall in the 1970's?

A one scoop ice cream cone in California was 25 cents at 31 Flavors. (Small cone 10cents at Thrifty Drug). Now I'm not sure but one scoop in a Paper cup at Haagen Daaz in Guam is $4.50. A cone is an extra 2.50 or so. A small cone from the trendy Italian Gelato in Nagoya today is 750 yen.

I once met an ancient Danish seaman. Told me of porting in Klong Toei in the 1950's and Thai women would board during their layovers to cook clean and "serve" for some minimal remuneration.

Reading your ice cream prices from long ago was a complete waste of my time. I thought maybe you had something useful to read.

  6. Clueless reporting that ignores the plain facts that have been researched and published over the years, including here, here and here. Among other things, the Tiger Temple is a front for an international tiger smuggling business with links with one of the biggest wildlife traders in SE Asia, based in Lao. Can Thailand's tourist industry mature a bit and move on from the idea that foreign visitors need to have the opportunity to take photo opportunities with animals that have been drugged and mistreated. Plenty of ways for tourists to enjoy wildlife in nature by visiting Thai parks and sanctuaries. Articles like this offering false choices do not help the average reader. Suggest the reporter to do better research next time!

Your reporting is also suspect Dibbler. Who says they are drugged ? Never been proven. Not even sensible. You can not keep a group of tigers drugged. Even a dozen would not be feasible. Unlike you, I have experience in keeping tigers.

  7. Two of the girls at the table still have their heads buried in their phones even while the commotion is going on....God help the chap who used to rely on chatting up the lady beside him as a way of meeting someone.....You could be Mr. Valentino these days and wouldn't even get noticed if there was a dozen gals sitting next to you at the table.

Some folks can walk and chew gum at the same time. Meaning, the girls can talk on a phone and STILL see around the room.
