  1. The 10 second review & recommendation: Take a 24 hour free stream at:- https://xtreamtv.live/index.php?rp=/store/trials and wait to be impressed 🙂 Advice: Now for the rather boring but detailed review however, my advice would be to skip the details below and take either the free or paid trial in the link above. You have been warned..... Introduction: I have been using my current stream provider since the start of the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa in July 2021 which coincided with the Covid outbreak when the local authorities advised they were going to close all bars in order to stop the Covid spread. I urgently needed a stream, with sports, in order to be able to watch the B&I Lions Internationals. I only had a few days to sort and though rushed, I came up trumps on the very first attempt with my current provider. For the 3 years since then I have been looking for a backup stream, I have taken many trials (many being 20 or so free trials). I even paid for many a months sub to those trials that seemed to pass muster only to have been disappointed when detailed testing uncovered many issues. Now for the good news; I took a trial with Xtream and I was so impressed with the free trial that when they offered a one off discount I jumped at the offer and took a year's sub. After extensive testing I can say that I have been way impressed and I am sure that if you take the trial, especially the paid trial with catchup, you will be equally impressed 🙂 Details: Xtream provide 7 days of catchup on almost all of the UK main and most sports channels that I could wish for. One of the benefits of the Xtream catchup streams is many of these streams have two catchup streams per channel i.e. catchup on BBC1 is available as both FHD and SD. Best of all, not only do Xtream provide their own apps but they also provide the URL (m3u) of their servers to those of us that require this info. Background & Recommendation: In the early days of my streaming I had been using a stream provider for many years that were good but they were taken down when they decided to add sports to their offering. No names mentioned but I am sure you old timers amongst us know who I am referring to. With my many years experience of using good stream providers and my dismissal of so many streams during testing that just did not come up to par, I feel I can offer sound recommendations hence I have no qualms in recommending Xtream as either a main or backup stream provider. No doubt others on this forum will agree that it is not easy to find a source that provides high quality live streams with at least 7 days of catchup that have little to no buffering on either live or catchup whilst including the server URL so please allow me to suggest you take either the free trial or even pay the nominal fee for the 24 hour sports trial with catchup using the link above and see for yourself. What have you got to lose? I can assure you that you will not be disappointed! !!! Search: My search for a backup has taken me years to find a provider that has come anywhere near being close to my main provider in the quality of their streams to act as a backup. Xtreams are not only close but they may even surpass my main provider. Believe me, this is high praise indeed and only time will tell as this is early days but to give you a clue, the overflow Galagher rugby matches are being streamed on TNT Sports 5. No stream provider I know of offers catchup on this stream so I use Xtream as my stream of preference to record the match, (with only one paid sub per provider I have to choose which provider's stream to use for recording whilst viewing on the other stream). and yes, Xtream really are that good. Closing Comments: If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. If, perchance you doubt my review just take a gander at:- https://www.trustpilot.com/review/xtreamtv.uk p.s. I can no longer recommend my main provider for two reasons:- i) I posted on here many years ago that my main supplier were good, many took my advice but failed to complete a transaction due to my provider playing silly buggers ii) For security reasons my main supplier will only take new customers from personal referrals and knowing potential customers from a forum is not enough

  3. Please allow me to add my ha'penny worth:- @Tony M You sound most knowledgeable and have given sound advice. As you are no doubt well aware and I have tried to highlight here with myn experiences, there are many pitfalls so I understand your OISC recommendation. I have personally dealt with the UK immigration authorities in both the UK and the country of the lady whom I married so had no need of an OISC registered agent and certainly a lawyer would have provided no useful useful assistance. I currently have a long standing Thai girlfriend and have arranged both UK and Schengen visas without incident though I must admit the Schengen visa was fraught with difficulties due to my previous marriage and divorce. From my experience it is imperative that @sidjameson registers the divorce with the UK authorities otherwise a visa application would be a non-starter.

  5. The web site ststes 12m are availabe but if you try to buy only 1m, 3m & 6m are available
  6. Oh you are so WRONG!!! Since when has 4G LTE been fixed point? I use one SIM in my mobile for music, grab, voip and one SIM in my tablet for streaming IPTV. Siganal strength is the same, or beter, than True, download speedtest to Europe exceeds 60Mb/s and monthly data is a genuine unlimmited as I use about 250GB/m
  7. https://www.ntmobile.in.th/th/OtherPromotion/969.aspx Only works on band 40 and is data only so then you can use a cheap 7/11 SIM for phone calls but most people use voip
  8. Agrred, x96 max is good, max+ is better and then you can go to x96 ultra. All are more hassle than a Firestick but leave the FS standing as long as you get an x96 with 4GB RAM. Storage is not so important as you can always use an SD card.
  9. As far as I know the 2.0 bi-turbo 4x4 is NOT a permanent 4WD i.e. only to be used on a soft surface. My comment is based on the 2019 4x4 Ford Ranger that I have. The current Ranger and Everest have the option of permanent 4x4.
  10. If you have an annual income of £50k then Lloyds charge £7.5/m for their International account, Thailand is anaccepted country to live in:- https://www.lloydsbank.com/international/products-and-services/current-accounts.html or you may have joy with a Standard Inetrnational account:- https://international.standardbank.com/international/personal/products-and-services/bank/international-bank-accounts/optimum-bank-account? which only requires you keep £5k in the account.
  11. It is not only UK resident but you need a UK address proved by a utiltiy bill etc.
  12. You're spot on:- https://www.retailbankerinternational.com/news/barclays-to-close-thousands-of-expats-accounts/ https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2023/12/barclays-expat-account-closed-bank-alternatives/
  13. Recently, i.e. a few weeks agoe, I trnasferred about £20k from SCB to a UK bank. It took about an hour to fill in a dummy, £10, transfer to check all of the paperwork was correct and 30 mins to fill in the full transfer paperwork. Both monie transfer was received by the UK bank on the day of the transfer. SCB charge a handling fee and a % of the amount transferred which I can't remember but missus says $ is 0.25% and £ is 0.5%. I hope this helps.....
  14. Spot on and a Gold to boot with an incredible last 150M
  15. It all depends on the filters especially the RO filter giving you two choices:- i) Buy a TDS meter to test the cleanliness of the water from the B1 macheines https://www.lazada.co.th/products/lcd-i4836644374-s20193809225.html? ii) Buy your own RO water machine https://www.lazada.co.th/products/ro-colandas-50gpd-i2712848960-s9803632973.html? The links are for type and NOT a recommendation.....
  16. For the hell of it I started a 2nd FHD stream and ran another speedtest with the following results:- The above download file was 87.6MB of random bytes Again, neither of the FHD streams have exhibited any buffering!
  17. I use 3BB GigaFiber at 1Gbps I am currently streaming IPTV at FHD via WiFi to my Android tablet using a VPN with no buffering whatsoever and I have been streaming various channels at HD for the lasrt 8 hours and again, with no buffering whatsoever. I ran the following speedtest to ascertain my download speed whilst streaming FHD on my Windows pc without using a VPN but whilst streaming FHD. To ensure this was a realistic IPTV stream download speedtest I used 'testmy.net' and selected London as the locatrion of the downlaod server:- The above download file was 25MB. To ensure this was not a 'one off' I repeated the test about 5 minutes later with the following results:- The above download file was 84MB. Make what you will of these tests but I do not have buffering issues.
  18. I need to remit around £25k to the UK in the next couple of weeks with no prior arrangements. Monies are held in an FCD account and were originally sent to Thailand as 'Living Expenses' I will let you know how I get on.....
  19. UK Imm don't say but like proof she will return to Thailand so employment history, property, children etc. will all assist and you have to prove you have funds to support you both for the time period.
  20. I bought 2 off Alldocube Iplay 50 Android tabs with LTE about 2 years ago and no probs. Check out this link..... https://bit.ly/3Lf9Fjx Or they have released a later version, the Iplay 60. Check out..... https://www.lazada.co.th/products/new-arrivalalldocube-iplay-60-tablet-11-inch-4gb-ram-128gb-rom-android-13-dual-4g-lte-i5022647624-s21231719903.html? cheersD
  21. Give "My Kitchen" a try and you will not regret it. Open Facebook for the menu or open the following link and right click until you find their Xmas menu:- https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=937025327949629&set=pb.100049265121495.-2207520000 Open Google maps and put "My Kitchen" in the location search to get directions; loads of parking. The quality and quantity of the food far exceeds the price. Highly recommended They have an indoor a/c room and outdoor tables to boot:- What more could you ask for as a Xmas dinner sitting..... (In reality, the outside sitting is far better than my photographic skills ) If this does not suit your Xmas dinner requirements then try their daily specials for lunch or dinner and one day you must try their 300gm (aprox.) beef steak, chips, 2 veg, salad and bread which cannot be bettered for B130. BTW: I have no connection whatsoever to the restaurant other than being a very contented customer.
  22. Try this url:- http://bankexchangerates.daytodaydata.net/default.aspx cheersD
  23. Why don'r you open a Thai £sterling account and transfer £sterling from your UK account to your Thai account? My UK bank, Barclays, has no charge for International £sterling transfers to Thailand and the Thai bank charges a £12 receiving fee. Doing this means I can transfer £sterling, whenever I want, from my Thai strerling bank account to my Thai Baht bank account with no trnsfer charge. Bankok bank exchange rate lies between their buying and selling rate but I can't remember the term they use.
  24. I don't remember meeting you.....????
