  1. Yeah those wheel arches are something else... I guess guys go out and buy wheels with the totally wrong offset, then try to band-aid fix the ugliness of wheels that stick 2" out of the car body with these:

I can only imagine what the Ford design team think when they see photos like this.

You know what they say... you can get the guy out of the Fortuner, but you can't get the Fortuner out of the guy tongue.png

On the other hand, the guys at Toyota thought "hey man awesome design from those guys. Let's stick it on the TRD version of the Revo".

  2. Yes ...wish I had it now ... just arrived in Phu Tub Berg ...climbing the hills in the bendy road the water high temp alarm fleeted on the Fiesta Ecoboost ... I'm beginning to think it's a load of .....

If it's any consolation, I've had overheated AT's on several brands of car after a well loaded and spirited hill climb.

And the new Revo/Tuna like to show low oil warnings on hill climbs too.

Couple of months, we were informed by T as one of their main suppliers that there would be a silent recall fixing these issues with the REVO. Not sure it went through or not.

    Also recall for i-stop.

  3. Her iPhone couldn't have been to badly broken she managed to call you.

    she called from home.

    "she called from home."

Are you insuniating that she has a "landline phone" in her home?

I seriously wonder if anyone in Thailand has a landline phone.

I have never known a person in Thailand who has one.

Even the school I worked at for years had no landline phones!

Our shop has a land line. Difficult to get a CO. LTD when you don't have a land line.

  4. Please state your source. There have been changes implemented recently already.

I renewed my driver's license yesterday in Phuket (5 years) and then they informed all Farang about the new rules from January 2016.

As if you forget and renew your driving license then you must at school 8 hours and a test of 100 questions and where you MUST have 95% correct crying.gif , but remember you can renew the driver license 3 months before it expires, i do that last day to. wai2.gif

    so it's an unofficial source.

He said he renewed his licence. Unless you can do that at 7/11 now then he was at the Land transport office. They are the ones that issue DL's so official. No?

For me hearing it at one DLT in Phuket doesn't make it official. As long as it's not in an official release it stays unofficial to me.

  6. Since this topic started ive noticed Toyota and Isuzu/Chevy do 2 White finishes. Their Pearl Whites looks like its Dulux Mat Emulsion compared to their brilliant whites , they don't POP at all,yet in the Showroom they look fine , in fact more eye catching. Recon any coating or waxing wouldn't help these dull finishes.Just look around this week and see what i mean. Id say the Toyo is the worst on the Tuna /Spivo.My early old Spivo was a nice paint job, thats all i liked about it..must get that in.thumbsup.gif

So you're not the only one who noticed that. Pearl white an extra 15,000? more for a finish that looks like my warehouse's outdoor wall.

Probably the lighting setup in the showroom is helping them pop.

  7. Thank you, but why suck a price difference ?

And if a coating bottle costs a maximum of 6000 thb I wonder how can people think that it's acceptable to pay 3000 or 40000 to coat their car ? Is it something difficult to do ?

    Thanks again.

After reading many forums it seems that the easiest choice is to buy Meguiars products only.

They seem good for everything, interior and exterior, so maybe its a good idea to visit a meguiar car care in Bangkok or Pattaya and letthem usetheir own bottles ?

How much for glass coating there ? Any idea ?

    Thank you so much.

The first and last time I asked about Meguiars glass coating kit it was 12K Baht.... so I passed.

Realistically, that was released over 2 years ago, and the technology has moved on since then (higher SiO2 content, better hardness). Right now, if you wanted a glass coating my top recommendation would be the CQuartz UK for the best "inexpensive 2 year" coating. If you want a coating that's harder and presumably lasts longer, I've been trialling the Kessho Diamond on a couple of panels and so far it's impressive - but I can't yet comment on longevity...

For general car care, I've never heard anyone complain about Meguiars products, and in several areas they are clearly the best available (e.g. their Super Degreaser, All Purpose Cleaner, Paint Recondition Cream etc). If for some reason you wanted to keep you car care products all one brand, it's the only brand to choose.

How can people pay 300 THB just for a normal wash instead of doing it themselves? It's how our society has become right now.

Why pay 50THB delivery fee for a quick meal if you can go and pick it up (talking about Isan, not BKK)? People have become seriously lazy.

My car's paint ain't worth the 50,000 baht coating and all the cars before it didn't require coating either so I just gave up on paying so much.

  8. Also the brakes of the Everest got recalled before they got shipped out to the dealers. I know this as I was in the meeting with the manufacturer when Ford called and overheard them. This was in February this year.

So that's a good catch from Ford on that part.

  9. you are talking about all Toyota models right ? most boring blobs of the road.

hehehe, but a Camry looks stylish compared to the A4 tongue.png

What about the new Fortuner? They've gone from understyling to complete overstyling with that, or how about the Mirai? That car proves that Toyota still haven't learnt that the "future" bits only needs to happen under the skin, not all over it tongue.png They are either extremely boring, or extremely ugly - nothing inbetween. One day they'll poach a good designer I hope smile.png

I don't like the design of the new Fortuner, prefer the old one, the one that looks like the new Everest.

    555. Until you open a door, then it feels more like a scaled down, cardboard mockup of an Everest tongue.png

True to that. Everest is in a different class. LC class :) And I don't even own one.

  10. Fuel Economy would worry Me .?. Ferangs only go to Big C. TheirTires rot before they are worn out ,if yer dont 50KPM per year just shut up about 10 or 20 KPL its only a box of Chang in your case.thumbsup.gif

Exactly :) Today an older gentlemen came in our shop. 6 year old Hilux with 8,000 KM on it.
