No need to worry

I had a similar experience.
Worked under BOI for 3 years, then company lost their BOI status.
Extension of stay under BOI conditions was cancelled, WP was cancelled. Then new extension for Non-immigrant B was applied for together with a new workpermit.
I didn't have to leave the country for this.
If you fall under BOI, then your extension and WP are done at Chamchuri.
If you don't fall under BOI, but you are of manager class or higher than you can do your extension and WP at Chamchuri
If you don't fall under BOI, but you are lower than manager class than your extension is done at Chaeng Wattana and your WP is done at Din Daeng (ministry of Labour).
Anyway that's what the lady who works at our office and handles all this told me.
PS: Give me Chaeng Wattana over Chamchuri ANYTIME.

More then often they don't check visa status when it's a domestic flight.
Might change from March though...

Last time I went to Khon Kaen they had a dedicated officer and line just for the 90 day reporting and it was very quick. Is this still the case?
No more dedicated line for 90 day reporting, but I don't think there is such a long wait there anyway.

As the crow flies, about half a kilometer from my house there is a tower with 4 huge speakers on the top pointing in all directs. At around six in the morning some twonk plays 'orrible music that wakes me up before he starts talking rubbish, when he's finished he plays more 'orrible music to let you know he's finished talking rubbish...
A totally waste of time and pisses most folk off..
PS. No not a religious thing.
Had it here too. They installed 2 giant speakers in front of my shop and home. Started to blast shitty music from 6.00 AM until 9.00 AM. So loud that I couldn't even hear my customers speak.
Took it up to the village head. Explained the situation to him and now the 2 speakers are still here, but they disconnected them.
Village head said, just show that you have the speakers, but they won't turn on.
I'm happy and the village head is happy.

We use a Philips rice cooker here. We are happy with it.
Our microwave is from Sharp. http://www.sharpthai.co.th/product_detail.aspx?l=en&p=56&c=2&sc=3

If we look at it from a positive point of view (I try to be more optimistic these days): something first has to get really bad before it gets better I think.
Maybe CM will be one of those offices that in a couple of months (years) will be the quickest and most efficient in the country.

Khon Kaen immigration. What a breath of fresh air for all immigration offices in Thailand.
Arrived at 9.30.
Took a number (27) and at that time it was number 19.
9.50 my turn.
Check documents, chit chat a little bit about life in Thailand and why I come to Khon Kaen for a re-entry permit and don't go to Sakhon Nakhon (I live in Kalasin)
9.52 finished
9.55 receive passport back.
Amazing! Thumbs up to the people who run it there. Everyone is treated with the utmost respect.
This seriously made my day.

and yet again a 2 hour wait is not so bad. I have had to wait for 2 days at Chaeng Wattana in the past.
I did my extension of stay (NON O) at Sakhon Nakhon and was processed quickly. Same for Samut Prakan.
Tomorrow first time Khon Kaen

I will go there tomorrow to do my re-entry permit

I think most embassies even only accept those approved agencies...

I'm guessing your 7 months of overstay didn't really play in your advantage.
As mentioned above 19 months in Thailand on a tourist visa makes the officers think that you are doing something which your visa doesn't allow = working.
I know working for an internet company or doing your business online doesn't actually fall under those conditions, but it's going to get a lot more difficult to keep doing what you do on your visa.
Maybe the multi-entry tourist visa they just came up with is a good option for you?

I got those parts in Kalasin at our shop.

Sakhon Nakhon immigration wanted the letter stamped on the day of the application together with a transaction done on the bank book on the day of the application.
My branch of SCB is in Bangkok, but SCB accepts these letters to be done at any branch throughout Thailand. The guy at SCB even proposed to copy all my documents again to make sure they were in order for immigration.

Had the same once with my Non B. They extended it for 3 years instead of 2. Went back to Immigration to ask them to fix it.

When I applied at Sakhon Nakhon for an extension of stay based upon marriage I had a witness with me. They also visited my home 7 days after I applied.
They did check with me first if they could visit on that day. Very courteous officers working at Sakhon Nakhon.

wow rules have changed. My bad then. Please ignore my reply.

Using a combination of income and bank balance, no time requirement on how long funds should have been in bank.
The monthly income shown in the Embassy letter x 12 months added to the bank balance should total 800,000 Baht or more (remember, exchange rates fluctuate, Immigration uses the rate in effect on the date of application).
That's what I found...

When I went to apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage (non-immigrant o) at Sakhon Nakhon, they asked my wife to fill in the TM 30.
We didn't have to pay a fine for not filling it in right away, but they did request to fill it in during the application process on that day.

Her iPhone couldn't have been to badly broken she managed to call you.
she called from home.
"she called from home."
Are you insuniating that she has a "landline phone" in her home?
I seriously wonder if anyone in Thailand has a landline phone.
I have never known a person in Thailand who has one.
Even the school I worked at for years had no landline phones!
Our shop has a land line. Difficult to get a CO. LTD when you don't have a land line.

Actually I do belive some don't have a problem extending their stay. As we were queuing we saw a guy giving money to one of the employees in the office - that employee came back 5 minutes later with a tray full of coffees and lates which she shared with her colleagues. "Surprisingly" enough that guy who gave the money to the employee only showed his passport at the desk - no form, no photocopies, no other document whatsoever and had his stamp in 20 seconds (maybe that's what I should have done?).
Please don't get me wrong, I would like to believe the standards are are there or there-about, but so far all what I have seen tells me it is nowhere near. Though my education and moral will probably still get me to just follow that new rule and provide the added piece requested for no valid reason, rationality and reason definitely tell the visa run way would be faster, simpler and cheaper indeed.
You mean he paid 1,900 THB for the application and got his come back within 30 days stamp?
Don't be to quick to judge someone just because you saw something. I have done my extensions at Samut Prakan, Bangkok and Sakhon Nakhon and bribery was never an option.

PM me...I might be able to help you.

They were able to price them that high as Thai people were buying it at that cost...that might start to change soon.
Leaving to Australia With Son (Thai National) Without Mother. Anyone else been through this?

They might call the mother when at immigration to double check.
However, hasn't happened to me in the past.
