  1. somethings smells about this guy. First impression is a weirdo that might not have done it. I hope he is the guy but early reporting is a bit strange, typical perhaps but if it is possible to be too weird to have done this then this guy fits the bill.

His ex-wife claims that he was with her at the time the little girl was murdered

Well not on FOX, yet. We've been waiting for that.

  2. that pic is kinda creepy - looks like a bobble head.

listening to this story now in the US is a bit sickening. "Thailand,

notorious for sex and child trafficing....". Geeze - this guy and

Thailand are both being protrayed as guilty until proven innocent.

It's sick how the US media portrays Thailand. Always notorious for prostitution and child trafficking. When they report on a domestic story, they should begin by reminding us that the US is notorious for the world's highest incarceration rate, the home of the world's sickest serial murderers and rapists and the home of the highest rates of drug use in the history of mankind. Oh I forgot, America is superior to all.

In my haste, I forgot the highest rates of obesity in the history of mankind, the most medicated population in the history of mankind and I would venture to say the highest rates of depression in the history of mankind. Prostitution and a problem with people trafficking pales in comparison.

    Yep :o

FOX the guy was talking to the reporter in London. You know Bangkok is the worlds center of sex crimes, the FOX lady in London said, No, I didn't.

I'm stuck with FOX, what can I do, well the Indian news channel usually has english news and not only "around the world in 80 secs" ones per day.

  3. - Rocky Mountain News

    Seems very indicting, if correct.

Problem is that nobody in the family ever said he had ever visited the home. Most did't even know him. That would have required more than one intrusions for him to know the building to do what police seems to think he did perform there. If he acted alone.

DNA will be so simple in this case. Total match. -And closed.

  4. Did he have a job here in Bangkok? If so, does anyone think that this might be enough to convince schools to do background checks of their teachers?

Then again, who am I kidding.... :o

According FOX, Karr had applied for a teaching position and had interviews arrangent in Thailand. He had recently arrived from Malaysia. This is the main news on FOX today, very big, first time I found that channel a bit usefull atleast..

Yes you have a point there about the schools. :D

  5. So not guilty untill proven othervise? Right?

I guess thai police will make it very easy for you to confess what ever.

Yes there was lots of samples of foreign DNA collected of the poor girls body, non matched the closest relatives. So will be a simple case if he's guilty.

So far, there's no proof what so ever. Only talk. So can the hang mob keep patient please? Will carry a death penalty in Colorado defenately..

  6. The forensics found potassium in the blood of a dead patient? Couldn't find anything about that threatment of his? Maybe it was just a maipenraifarmasist who made a mistake selling him the drugs he wanted? His name translates to japanese sattori aswell, means nirvana, enlightment. Anyway these TVguys will have 10 pages of speculation on best about it. Sometimes it clicks too. Hehehe. I like to read it sometimes.

  7. I'll might be a couple days late but will say it again, good idea but such a joke, a big joke. Maybe walking lanes first to actualise? Nothing to block walking lanes, let's widen problematic areas as Sukhumvit by few lanes too as for motorized trafic that is. Bicyles are a good idea defenitely and will be. This idea is a lot farther than Thailand being a developed country. One word. Unbelievable again. Won't even comment on other parts of the country.

PM abuse rampant on spoiled ballots

It may have been expressed in many different ways but the intriguing message that election officials came across while counting votes in Sunday's election was too common to be dismissed as a natural mistake.

Among the more than 1 million invalid ballots counted as

of yesterday were an unknown number that were disqualified because voters chose to spell

out their dislike of caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

The most prevalent messages on the invalid ballots, according to vote counters, were "Thaksin get out" and "Thaksin, you are evil".

Other messages, some conveyed in just one short sentence and others occupying almost the entire ballot, contained vulgar abuse and profanities. Besides written messages, many voters drew funny pictures, including a square-faced cartoon character, apparently aimed at mocking Thaksin, according to election officials.

A voter, who wanted to be identified only as Nok, told The Nation she intentionally wrote down on the ballot "Thaksin, you are the worst of all evil" although she knew it would make her vote invalid.

"I just wanted to show that I no longer want him as prime minister," she said.

As of yesterday, the Election Commission (EC) estimated the invalid ballots from Sunday's election would exceed 1 million or about 3 per cent of the overall figure of eligible voters. The tally is a record breaker since Thailand first introduced elections under a democratic regime more than half a century ago.

An election official in Phichit province confirmed yesterday that many ballots he counted contained the same hand-written message "Thaksin get out".

"Other ballots were marked too many times or randomly crossed all over," said the official.

In Phitsanulok, a polling official said he also saw anti-Thaksin messages written on ballots while manning a vote-counting centre on Sunday night.

"I saw "Thaksin get out" on many ballots. Some others wrote "Hate square-faced man", the official said.

The director of the EC provincial office in Yala, Varothai Naewbantad, said a large number of voters made their ballots invalid by intentionally writing on them.

"They just wrote down what they wanted. Some messages were way too rude to be disclosed," he said.

Varothai said this had never happened before and the number of invalid ballots in Yala in past elections was remarkably low as voters had a good understanding of politics and the election process.

Director of the EC provincial office in Chachoengsao, Chukiat Rojanapinan, said the record of invalid ballots in all constituencies of the province exceeded 10 per cent, the highest in its history.

"In the last election, we had 3.6 per cent of invalid ballots. But this time, it is clear that voters intended to make their ballots invalid," he said.

    one more election :D

and they will got it :D

Interesting indeed. But, where are the real numbers they're referring to?

    Still nothing real?????

  9. sorry, the engligh news was ofcourse 22:15.

Also, it seem sthat Thaksins 52 % includes the disrecarde votes also. So he can declare sheer winner. Or am I right?

I'd sure like to know some real statistics of this.

The only way for Thaksin to serve his country at this point is to resign or at least take along holiday. What about his money from singapore deal, what are the facts he would loose them?

  10. Was just watching the channel 11 english news 9:15, that was a mistake.

Well, with the Bangkok Post guy they said 16 million voted for TRT, so what about the 9% ? invalid vote, it doesn't require much math to find out that even half of this is correct and assuming the votes were not for TRT, TRT didn't get 50% and lost.

What bothers me with channel 11 english news broad cast is that they were not talking about this. Would think they had more than 50% words in their minds that they couldn't speak, at least I do hope so . Everyone knew their role but overall were acting like nervous small children. I'd recommend government to start to hire actorss instead of reporters on their tv if this is their intented broadcast.

  11. do we really have to be subjected to the horrid fact that the 'election' (if one can call it that) could just be an almighty sham because of rubber stamps.... ?

    :o

In america they used electric election apparatus. :D

    Whats the difference?

Do a quick search of Diebold and you will see that the automatic system is not too good either and may well be more prone to hacking and vote rigging than the one Thailand is using in this election. There are problems with almost all systems. The question is which one is less prone to tampering.

The EC printed 100 million ballots for maybe a max of 30-35 million voters , figure that one out.

    Black box

As I hope you can see, I' talking of same problem, tampering, what ever. Actually warning of the possibility. It could be a lot worse you know.

We have seen electric system tested, so that should be terminated by now.

So whats the plan in Thailand with these 100 million ballots, and will end to what? Restamping of the Ballots, maybe for replacements? Just my first ideas consearning people who actually at power.

  12. I'd like to know more about these stamping rules, thes are really official?? Sounds like a very serious problem.

Did EC say that every voting place will have stamps and pens to use? More vorrying. I will go check the situation at the nearest votin g place tomorrow.

My girlfriend did vote last saturday at prevote in Bangkok, or whats the better term, she stamped her ballot, there was no pen, nor did she ask for it.
