you just go to visa agency and they charge an additional 5k for vax document.

But there would be shortage of vax, especially for foreigners, for many years. Thanx to dr Anutin.

The only reason the government will try to force vax on foreigners is for their money, not because

they do care about your health or health in the general population.

Still, herd immunity is around 70-80%, you can chose to be in those 20-30%. Especially, if you are not in a risk group.

I've had a shot of AZ and I'm due for a 2nd shot next month and I haven't been charged.

  2. BUN down from 29.9 to 23.9 and Creatinine 2.59 to 2.33 in 3 months.  I've managed to lose quite a lot of weight which has helped and I've found a lot of nutritional info on the internet, which is probably as good as I will find in Thailand. I've thought about moving, but if I did, I would do it alone, as it would probably be back to Europe. As the saying goes, I've made my bed....

Anyway thanks for your help Sheryl, keep up the good work!

  3. Just to let you know, I went to First Western Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning as I was having difficulty breathing, my gf took me there. Overnight and during the morning I had 3 blood tests, as many ECG's and an x-ray (which showed clear lungs) I feel a lot better this morning and conclude that I had a bit of a panic attack, probably not helped by my ex-wife and good friend telling me that her brother nearly died from pulmonary edema. The surprise was being asked to pay 40,000 tbh, which was reduced to 38,000 after I questioned some of the items. 3 blood tests came to 18,000 and a dose of Gaviscon 990, for example. A recent ECG, x-ray and comprehensive blood test at Bandon Hospital cost less than 4000 tbh, but I went to FW this time as it is much closer.

The treatment at both hospitals is comparable

  4. I'm living in Koh Phangan and need to see a good nephrologist. I am short of breath for much of the day and wondering if I have the onset of pulmonary edema. I have pretty good insurance cover through the French CFE  and would be grateful for any recommendations.

  5. Yesterday I went to the KP Municipal office to apply for permission to go to see a doctor in Surat Thani and return the following day. There was a printed notice on the wall that clearly stated that permission for this return trip could only be given at the check point on Thong Sala Pier, so I went there,  to be told that they could only give this permission if the case was urgent, i.e. if one had had a heart attack! So back I went to the Municipal office where I eventually got my permission.

  6. Cambridge International AS and A Level Thinking Skills (9694)

Thinking Skills develops a set of transferable skills, including critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving, that students can apply across a wide range of subjects and complex real world issues.

The syllabus enables students to develop their ability to analyse unfamiliar problems, devise problem solving strategies, and evaluate the diverse ways a problem may be solved. During a Thinking Skills course, students learn to put their personal views aside in favour of examining and evaluating the evidence. Students learn how to make informed and reasoned decisions and construct evidence-based arguments. NOT IN THAILAND THEY WONT!
