I received an invitation for Xmas day lunch. Would love to go but I know that facemasks get dropped in farang circles. As the afternoon progresses booze lets forget that we have a pandemic. A few of the guests are anti vaccination. I most likely will not accept the invitation. I lived in almost total seclusion for 2 yrs.

I would rather get a 3rd jab, lie low for 14 days rather than not getting a booster.

Hospitals are already struggling. Or why would they have postponed a huge no. of operations, chemotherapies for cancer patients. Beds are needed for emergencies, other health issues and not just for Covid.

Seems to be no shortage of tourists. I'm looking for a serviced apt. All the better ones are full until 2nd week in Jan. Sure some Thais do staycation but they don't fill Oriental Res. or Emporium Suites.

Austria does not only give 3rd jab to vulnerable but to everybody incl. young ppl. Austria has also started vaccinating kids from 5 yrs onwards. While infections have soared since Oct. the lockdown is showing effect i.e. infections are going down. More ppl got vaccinated. It would be wise if Thailand would continue mandatory PCR test after 16 Dec. ATK tests are not reliable.

UK plans to require 3 jabs as "fully vaccinated". When and if this will happen? In EU booster is given 4 months after AZ and approx. 5-6 months after mRNA vaccine.

You can get RT-PCR tests within 1 hr. Difference is the price because it gets priority processing. Just booked one at MUC airport. 24hr one costs 69€, 1hr is 239€.
