    The distracted staff may be an accomplice. Staff in these shops doesn't get distracted as there are 2 staff per customer & a guy at the door. Staff must have recognised nationality by their accent or if they spoke Thai. How did they know about "getaway taxi" reg.?

    You wouldn't get favorable treatment at Tel Aviv airport regardless how stressful it may be.

    Result depends a lot on how the cuff is fitted. Saw a Japanese docu about it. My doc always does his own BP check with a manual gadget. Waste of time what the staff does. I use an Omron.

    No, it was not an immigrant outlet but an established * restaurant owned & run by genuine Austrians.

    Had food poisoning from eating stew in an upmarket restaurant in Austria. Spend 2 nights in hospital on a drip. Cost just over 8000€. Insurance paid. I found hygiene to be a problem in Europe.

    Probate is a nightmare. Friend's husband had 2 UK bank accounts. They live in Germany, both are German. The bureaucracy was unbelieveable & it too 1 year to get probate.

    10 yrs ago had a partly torn meniskus. Bumrungrad quoted 250K. My overseas insurer declined as it wld be cheaper in Europe. Got 2nd opinion in Singapore & was told not to operate as I wld gain nothing but likely have more problems. Got recommended physiotherapy. Never had the op done, walk painfree, cycle, swim. 2nd opinion pays.

    Bumrungrad was 216.000 a few months ago. It was a "package". Expensive yes.

    Bumrungrad was a lot cheaper than your quote from Bangkok Hospital. Same op method. Open surgery has a much longer recovery & hospital stay.

    They have a chat which replies quickly. Put your question on X-Twitter. Reply is quick. Ring their office in Bangkok.

    But you have travel cost to consider. Plus hotel before & after. Having lived in India I would not consider getting an op there. Esp. when I know nothing about the hospital.

    My husband had it done & after 1 month there was no more discomfort. It was robotic surgery at Bumrungrad.

    Google Austria femicide & you see there are lots of rough ones in Austria.

    This does not surprise me. Just like the practice when trying to open an account. Diff. rules at every branch. The request wasn't odd at the time as suddenly a TIN was requested by banks in EU countries where we hold accounts. Austria automatically deducts 35% tax @ source from income as we are not resident or citizens.

    Each & every bank in diff countries who are part of this tax collection scheme now asks for your TIN. Try Europe when you go there next. Ask a Singapore bank.
