    I cannot comment on Thailand. I have applied for Quellensteuer tax refund from Germans with tax cert. from Austria where I lived during lockdowns. Submitted in 2021. Never heard from then. Sent it off registered. They received it. But I have no reference that I could even complain to them. Don't expect any money back from them.

    140K at Rutnin? This is steep. Rather go to Bumrungrad for this price. I paid 63K @ Medpark last year.

    Have not met an eye surgeon who recommended multifocal. It's just add money for them.

    In my case hubby did the eye drops for me. No need to pay for hospital bed.

    Once yr ext. of stay willfully comes under the heading "why be difficult if it can be impossible" you may see the issue less relaxed.

    Wow, what a price. Costs less at top Bkk hospitals. General anaesthetic is a last resort as you are required to follow instruction for eye movement. You cannot do it when you are out. You may have had a sedation.

    My doc at Medpark said earliest one month later.

    I had both eyes operated at Medpark in Bkk. No overnight stay required. It requires eyedrops every 3 hrs post surgery for the 1st 12 hrs? Some ppl can't do it and can get it done by staying overnight. So my doc at Medpark explained.

    Seems you havent flown QR for a while. Yes, they now charge for seat selection since June last year. Not just in business lite.

    There is no Q class but Q Suite which is business. It is not on all flights. Fares for Q suite tend to be higher these days.

    This Swiss guy has been known to local ppl for his aggressive behaviour on previous incidents. E.g. blocking an ambulance.

    Just heartburn is one issue, reflux is an added problem.

    Just to add: It is counter productive to use bicarb for acidity in 7up. Sugar promotes acidity. Use water instead.

    Your Aspirin may be the cause of your reflux. To take Omeprazole open ended isn't so good for you either. May be find out the cause of your reflux?

    I only see comments re taxation for income from US sources. Does anybody know of an accountant in Bangkok dealing with German taxation. 🙏

    Nothing of any consequence will happen to him back home. Brits rather punish an J Assange. Was on Qatar Airways once when a guy got unruly shortly after take off. Flight returned to Bkk and he got offloaded. He wasn't a Brit. It was in business.

    If I had followed Mason's advice to have a knee op I would have been 250K poorer with no improvement. Got 2nd opinion in Singapore. Physio treatment fixed it. Advice was not to operate. I cycle, I walk, I climb stairs, swim. No problem.

    Root canal is charged by no. of roots. Diff. teeth = diff. Roots. Depending on dentist & type of cap (ceramic, ceramic/gold combined) price may be around 25K. If there are no problems along the way.

    EmQuartier Branch Bangkok Bank is hit & miss. So was Emporium. It is very clear that what works for you may not work for me. I used Central Embassy Bangkok Bank. Reference required was Swift msg from my home bank requesting opening of account. Had non O from outside TH.

    This 180 day rule applies in most countries. Thailand didn't enforce it till now.
