No need to import, they can produce those. Many available, locally produced masks have the standard but no grading as such.

Cloth masks are ok if washed daily. They shld also be more than one layer & layers shld be of diff. materials. Singapore has some good articles about it.

Just 500 fatalities in UK in one day. Thailand once before thought they had it under control. Look at Australia, and sharply rising deaths in S.Africa. Caution may be a good strategy.

It is Russian roulette to bring tourists here. Look at 100.000 infections in Germany today. Why bring such ppl here so that they can ignore every hygiene rule there is? Enough farangs with mask under their nose or wearing no mask at all in stores.

But does e.g. German embassy issue such a letter? There is no reason why one can't return other than 100.000 infections today.

Families who would pay even more tourist tax in their own countries. E.g. Austria charged us 4€/DAY when we were stuck there in 2020/2021. You get nothing in return. 300 THB one off payment is peanuts.

Because ppl want to stay in Thailand and this may be the only/easiest option. There is no reason why one cannot leave Thailand.

Rutnin is a place you either like or hate. Twice with appointment waited several hours for a doc "stuck in traffic". With my blocked tearduct I'm glad I didn't follow her advice to get it operated. Like everywhere else, you need a name to go to. In my case, a specialist at BNH helped my problem.

Many of these "legit tourists" don't follow the rules. They wear no mask in their home country, why would they do it here? Distancing is another problem.

A 70% vax rate isn't enough. Apart from this, get the tourists to wear masks like everybody else does.

Reminds me of a recent case in the UK. Father and GF beat the 6 yr old to death. What is wrong with people?

In Austria e.g. private doctors issued a vaccination card provided by Pfizer if patient didn't have yellow vax book at hand. It is not accepted for ThailandPass. However, Austria later issued a vaccination cert. with QR code. My husband had such a card.

Sensible move.

Although I came via test&go I do not think this is a safe route. There should be 5 days min quarantine for all to cover incubation period. On day 6 get pcr test. Forget LFT. Too unreliable.
