  1. So far I have adopted 2 stray kittens (about 8 weeks) and turned out to be great. Except after 1 year the first was hit by a car, and the second just recently vanished. We think someone stole the little guy because he seemed to be so popular with everyone in our village and was extremely playful and people friendly. The key is to get stray cats very young, 8 weeks is perfect. The older they get the more the "stray" mentality sinks in and would be better to just leave it if you decide to move.

You should get checked by the Vet to get de-wormed or any other disease it may have. The latest we gave injection for de-worming, tick medicine, and it had ring-worm so we were given medicine to give 1 time per day every day and only cost 900thb.

I only allow 1 cat at a time but when there is a "vacancy" in the house I will always help out a kitten in need of a good home. As long as they are young there is really no reason why they wouldn't be good to travel with you across the country.

  2. I would go TRUE Move or AIS. TRUE seemed to have the better 3gb package with free wifi but AIS seems to have better coverage if you go into rural areas. The free wifi is dependant if there is a wifi hotspot in the area. I know in Bangkok TRUE seems to have more wifi hotspots than 3BB (AIS) but in Phuket where I am I notice more 3BB. If your staying at a location that has a a hotspot in the area dont bother with the 3G because just paying the 99thb per month for unlimited wifi is the best deal you can find.

Im lucky to have a 3bb hotspot right next to my house so I get 10mbps at a measly 99thb per month.

  3. I love the Chinese and Russians- they make we Americans look good smile.png

which is very strange when you know that yanks are usually 4 times fatter than a Chinese and 2 times than a Russian ......

While we may be bigger, this is just a matter of politeness. I haven't come across many russians during my last 3 years but I can say I get very annoyed by the chinese tourists when I go grocery shopping at tesco or hit up 7-11 for some beers. I don't know how many times I have been cut in line or cant even hear myself think because of how loud they are. Even when I lived in Toronto nothing but bad experiences constantly being pushed and shoved on the subway/streetcars by them.

  4. The new licencing process will help to reduce the amount of new drivers that do not understand the regulations. It will also increase the quantity of drivers without licence. I have a permanent drivers licence, there for I never have to be retested. Overall it looks like a good start.

The problem is that if the person fails, im sure that they will just drive without a license anyways.

  5. Nice!!! This was the stupidest allocation of money I have ever heard of. All these kids would do with them is play games on them. All you need is a good solid computer lab for kids to do their work IF they didnt have a computer at home. Tablets are not a proper device for writing big papers anyways.

  6. I would definitely stop my visit if a country I wanted to travel to was under martial law. Thats an obvious sign that anything can happen. But it also depends if you're traveling as a backpacker or with a family. Flying solo could be 50/50 but for sure with family/wife/girl friend I would rather have a more stress free vacation.

  7. I would imagine that the farmers will be so distraught by the dismantling of the cult of Shinawatra, that they will refuse to accept the money from the general. It will be a true test of their love and level of brainwashing achieved.

Poor un-educated people are easily swayed with money. Thats how the corruption starts. They don't get money from Thaksin, and the military gives it to them now... so now they switch sides. Its not like we are dealing with a cult here.

  8. If you don't want to incite violence make bloody well sure all sides are treated equally and the PDRC are dispersed also. Failure to do so will only enforce the thought that the army are just an arm of the PDRC.

    ummm.... They did...

"Gunshots heard on Aksa road as red shirts, PDRC told to go home"

they even provided buses for them as well.... who knows if all the buses made it back in 1 piece though.
